Poor guy. I do wonder what the full story is, though, since in another post he wrote that he has been diagnosed with ALS which actually makes his symptoms make more sense. Unless one hits one's head during a seizure, loss of motor functions and muscle control is typically very short term. If he does have ALS, hopefully he'll outlive the norm for people with that illness, which typically causes death within 5 years of diagnosis.

I don't keep phone numbers of providers I've hired and know I won't hire again, with one exception: If someone was basically a scam artist or time waster, I will keep that number just in case he changes photos but keeps using the same phone number. I DO keep photos of everyone I hire for two reasons: One is to be able to reminisce about particularly good encounters, the other is to remind myself of less successful hires in case I notice an appealing photo in a new ad and don't remember hiring the guy. I have photos of almost everyone I've hired except for the early days of hiring out of newspaper ads, or guys I've met in person and hired, which has happened exclusively when traveling.

I'm pretty sure I hired a guy at least once whose appointments were being managed by someone else. I think it's important that we make a distinction between pimp (which, to me, indicates someone who is exploiting a sex worker who might not even be voluntarily doing the work, taking most of the money and giving just enough to the sex worker to survive) and someone who a sex worker might employ to make his life easier due to a variety of reasons (language issues, lacks organizational skills, simply doesn't want to put the time into fielding inquiries). In my case, I figured out a third party had been communicating with me after I arrived because the guy told me so and had such limited English language skills that I don't think he could have been the one texting with me. I went ahead with the appointment because nothing else seemed awry -- he certainly was a horny hunk who got down to business fast, and I didn't detect any discomfort from him except when I complimented him at the end of the session and he seemed a bit surprised that I found him so desirable.

I haven't met him, but I know I've been seeing the same photos for a long time. (The Rentmen ad indicates he's been advertising since 2009, so I'm guessing that many of these photos are at least 15 years old.)

How come providers don't answer calls?
maninsoma replied to afterfallhours1's topic in Questions About Hiring
One can not only text on an older flip phone, but you can create a Google account on a computer and then send texts using Chat at mail.google.com -
My advice is that if you hire again, then get naked with the guy early on and enjoy yourself. Maybe your anxiety would have been diminished once you were embracing each other? I do think that some of the provider's behavior (as described by you) was problematic, but as the previous two posters wrote you certainly contributed -- in a significant way -- to this meeting going wrong.

I like his porn a lot, too. To me he has just the right amount of arrogance/cockiness/dominance where I imagine how much fun it would be to bottom for him, plus I think he's just overall very sexy physically.
-
With respect to the tattoo and piercing, he has a large tattoo on his back between his shoulder blades and at least one of his ears is pierced.

If someone wants to summarize the highlights, I'll read it because I did like watching their videos. I'm not inclined to watch 90 minute long interview video, though, particularly when at least one of the comments indicates that Elijah is just playing games by revealing very little information.

I'm not sure why you all believe this guy cannot be 46. Lots of guys in their mid 40s look great. If his age on Rentmen is a typo, he made the same typo on X.

Ad is already gone.

I think this guy is very sexy. Also goes by Steve Q/Steve Quin. I'm kind of surprised he would place a Rentmen ad since I assume he makes a good living creating porn. I notice his list of "intos" includes muscle but not daddy or bear, so maybe he's just looking for jock types who might agree to film with him?

Male Tan Lines: A Photo Blog for Fans of Men with Tan Lines
maninsoma replied to thruster's topic in The Lounge
I know tans aren't healthy and I couldn't get a decent tan if I tried, but I do like seeing men's asses when they have that classic Speedo tan line. -
I'm not sure, but it might be Oliver Marks.

Some people definitely have thoughts, feelings and behaviors that are in conflict without seeming to suffer too much cognitive dissonance. I wouldn't assume that someone having a strong connection to an organized religion to be free of behaviors that that religion might rail against, which still includes being gay (not just working as an escort) for many religions.

Odd with respect to the date. My post was based on an eBay listing for this magazine, so clearly that seller got it wrong.

Correction -- I think it's October 2024.

SeanCody's Brendan has Passed Too (Murder Suicide)
maninsoma replied to jeffla's topic in The Lounge
Sad. It wasn't clear from the article (unless I missed it) whether he was the one murdered or the one who shot himself. -
I don't frequently see retirement mention in ads, but I do remember that two escorts I never met but who had excellent reputations on this forum retired within the past year or so and both of them announced their retirement in their ads on Rentmen for several months prior to their ads disappearing. (One was Nicolas Mixx and the other -- whose name I don't remember -- might have been his partner.)

It's new to me as well. I looked up "lemonade drug reference" and am still confused because it seems like it could refer to more than one thing, but I guess the most common meaning is a mixture of lemonade powder and dextromethorphan (DXM). If that's what Axiom was referring to, that sure sounds like PNP to me.

Only use porn sites with some heavy duty pop-up blockers. I use a Windows pc, not Apple, so your options might be different but I use both Ghostery and an ad blocker. If a porn site requires me to turn off blockers to work, then I simply don't use that site. In the event a pop up makes it through, I've learned that if you cannot close the window normally that it's important to use the operating system to force close the window. Never click on any button that presents itself as "close" or something like that because it very well might execute a command to install a virus, not close that window.

I will say first that I've always thought you were very attractive and, based on these photos, you still are. I'm not sure why you have so many new photos with your tongue sticking out. That look isn't particularly attractive to me, so maybe only one or two of those would be better and definitely don't use one of those as the first photo displayed in the ad. I think all of the other photos are fine with a couple of exceptions. Maybe get rid of the ones that look too amateurish (e.g., like the last one that is a grainy selfie). If you don't want to spend the money on a professional photographer, I assume that you have a friend that could take some photos or that some client would agree to photograph you during an appointment. (I am not suggesting bartering that service; a few times I took a lot of photos of a guy I hired regularly and I was simply happy to do it in order to have a lot more photos of him for my collection. )

I Guess I'm Glad They're Happy. But This Is Weird
maninsoma replied to + Gar1eth's topic in The Lounge
I couldn't read the article, but two thoughts come to mind on the subject: I can understand a couple remaining married after one realizes they are gay, and not just duplicitously. I had a therapist decades ago who was gay but still married to his wife of a couple of decades because they had a strong friendship and didn't want to disrupt their family. Some people marry for reasons other than sex and love. I knew a gay man and a lesbian who -- again decades ago -- married each other to get their families off their backs and to ensure they wouldn't be cut out of their parents' wills due to being gay. If this article is about two people getting married where he already knows he's gay and she's straight, unless it's done for some practical reason it does seem odd to me. -
I wonder if it just seems creepy to us as gay men. I can imagine that whoever made this decision back then simply didn't even think about whether either the younger or older men were gay, so to them it just seemed like two men sharing sleeping quarters with no notion that sexual attraction/attention would enter the picture.
