  1. Are you assuming that based on the mapping function on rentmasseur? That's not accurate at all. Sometimes it even shows a provider off shore in the Pacific Ocean! I wish it was accurate because that would mean that almost everyone advertising on rentmasseur was walking distance from me.
  2. We posted basically the same thing at the same time, except you listed his actions that made me come to the conclusion that this guy was a first class idiot.
  3. Reading that story made me wonder just how dumb that guy is. It's almost as if he was waving a flag saying "I did it" from the first moment he called the police to report his "concern" about the man he killed.
  4. As a client, what I look for beyond the obvious (that the provider looks like his photos and provides the services agreed upon) is that he allows himself to be human enough that I can enjoy the experience. If someone is too detached, I cannot lose myself in pleasure. I need to feel some sort of connection.
  5. For some that might be true, but I think there are a lot of guys who would include guys in their thirties and forties (at least early to mid forties) as being in their prime. I like both twinks and hunks.
  6. At the risk of repeating myself: I don't mind age shaving withing reason. It seems like the norm that guys pretend to be a bit younger than they are (shaving off between 5 and 10 years, depending on what age they are). It's guys who claim to be 39 forever that really annoy me. Even if a guy is still in great physical condition, there's no way a 60 year old is going to convince anyone he's still in his thirties.
  7. Do you have any friends who are escorts, or can you maybe ask someone experienced and successful if he will share his screening process with you? It sounds like you could learn how to set better limits to minimize time wasters while not creating a situation where you turn away actual prospective clients.
  8. Not sure why there's so much derogatory posting about this guy's size. He claims 8 inches and has one shot that shows what's probably a semi-woody that hints he may be about 8" when fully hard. Yes, he has a lot of nudes in his ad where his dick is small and flaccid, but I assume he included those shots to show off his other attributes. I don't know the guy and maybe he isn't a very good escort (based on someone's comment that there was a previous thread here with negative comments on his escort services), but I don't understand the need to laugh at him due to his size.
  9. Consent is always the key. I would not equate a willingness to bareback with a desire to be bred.
  10. It's really no different than a restaurant that was supposed to open in San Francisco atop the Salesforce tower. I don't remember all of the details, but when the plans were first announced a couple of years ago it was proclaimed to be a "first class dining experience" where people had to buy non-fungible tokens to become a member (at a cost of tens of thousands of dollars if I recall correctly) that merely gave them the right to eat at said restaurant (i.e., paying tens of thousands of dollars didn't even get you a meal). Now, I'm not of the socioeconomic status where I could have become a member even if I wanted to, but the entire thing sounded ridiculous to me and I assumed it would never come to fruition. They just announced that the plans had been canceled due to a variety of reasons, but the bottom line is that the market spoke and told the people trying to collect all of this money for the privilege of dining somewhere that what they were proposing was not worth the money.
  11. Not a hook-up (well, we first met in a bar and went home together), but nearly four decades ago before I moved to San Francisco I met a guy about two months before I was scheduled to leave. I told him the second weekend we spent together that I was moving across the U.S. soon and he cut off all contact with me. Prior to that, things were very hot and heavy. I've occasionally wondered what would have happened had I changed my plans and stayed there. Would it have worked out between us, or would it have fizzled soon anyway? All I know is that he remains one of the hottest guys I ever had sex with who wasn't an escort (I was a fairly skinny mid-20s guy at the time and he was a very slightly older, well built jock type). He seemed really into me and I reciprocated those feelings. That hasn't happened for me many times in my life.
  12. I like that song (which is actually titled "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" and also Rupert Holmes' follow up, lower charting hit "Him." Fun story songs. I ran personal ads in the San Francisco Bay Times a couple of times. I think the most responses I ever got was around 20. I honestly don't remember how many men I met, but I know none of them ever yielded a boyfriend. Even though personal ads are mostly a thing of the past, I don't think that having a profile on an online dating site is much different apart from the ability to include photos and the immediacy of sending and receiving communications.
  13. I'm just curious what kind of approaches you've tried thus far.
  14. I share your concerns. I'd gladly share more information with someone who has a history of posting here but probably wouldn't even respond to a message from someone whose account was just created. Even so, I find the practice of reaching out for specifics a bit of a waste of time. What I had to write about a session was either previously posted or submitted as a review. There's no way I can give meaningful information about an encounter that occurred years ago other than to say whether I enjoyed the encounter or not which I obviously already did or the person would have no reason to send me a PM about that provider.
  15. Every once in a while I see a guy advertise this, but I would think for most providers it isn't worth it and I don't even know how much of a market there is for it.
  16. I have always used escort or, if I want something more generic, provider. Some people have embraced using the term "sex worker" but that doesn't roll off the tongue for me. I wouldn't use whore or prostitute because I think both words have long-standing negative associations, but if a provider wants to embrace either of those terms that's up to them.
  17. I don't get it. Reasonably attractive guy posts a video about how easy it was for him to hook up with another attractive guy at a gay nude beach. Is that supposed to surprise anyone? It would be more interesting if someone not particularly physically attractive created a video about how he manages to hook up with attractive guys when cruising a public place like a nude beach. At least that might be educational for some people. NB: When I used to visit Kauai regularly I always went to the unofficial nude beach there (Donkey beach) and typically had success hooking up with guys even though I didn't consider myself particularly sexy. There were usually very few guys there looking for sex there so when there was someone who caught my eye it really took little effort on my part to find someone to blow.
  18. I don't think anyone expects the price of something to remain the same forever. The important thing about a price increase is that it seems reasonable and that the customer still feels like price is reasonable for the goods/service delivered. As has been written many times on this board before, a provider has the right to charge whatever he wants and clients have the right to decide to pay that rate or not. While I'm not big on negotiating rates for anything, I know that others feel comfortable with that practice so don't take it as an insult that someone tries to haggle. Just have your rate in mind and tell them no if they want to pay less than that. This topic reminds me of a sushi restaurant I used to go to frequently that I haven't been back to for several months. My favorite item there went from $16 to $26 over the course of about a year, with increases of a few dollars every few months. I chalked up the first two price increases to inflation. With the last price increase, however, I just no longer felt like what I was getting to eat was worth the cost. The quality was the same, but after tax and tip it meant I was spending close to $35 for lunch and that's just too much for me on a regular basis when I can still get a burrito or a rice plate at a Chinese or Thai restaurant for under $20 after tax and tip. So they basically priced themselves out of getting my business, and I assume the staff at least initially wondered what happened to me since I used to go there once per week. Maybe they felt they had to increase their price about 66% over the period in question (though that obviously far outstrips inflation), but is it always better to have a higher profit margin even if it means lower revenues overall because some of your customers cease being your customers? It doesn't help that I can get a similar, though not as good, item two blocks away for under $20.
  19. I just received a SPAM email which I found interesting. I guess I can see how some people might be taken in by it, but I don't see how anyone can be stupid enough to believe a blackmailer. This is the text of the email with the person's bitcoin wallet info omitted, as well as two photos that showed in the body of the email which, I assume, are supposedly an example of the kind of photos they have of me. Seems to me that if they really already had pictures of me jerking off that they would have attached those to the email they sent to me as proof of their claims of having recorded me. " Hi there! Here are some notifications you've missed... I regret to inform you about some sad news for you. Approximately a month or two ago I have succeeded to gain a total access to all your devices utilized for browsing internet. Moving forward, I have started observing your internet activities on continuous basis. Go ahead and take a look at the sequence of events provided below for your reference: Initially I bought an exclusive access from hackers to a long list of email accounts (in today's world, that is really a common thing, which can arranged via internet). Evidently, it wasn't hard for me to proceed with logging in your mail account. Within the same week, I moved on with installing a Trojan virus in Operating Systems for all devices that you use to login to email. Because of this Trojan I am able to gain access to entire set of controllers in devices (e.g. your video camera, keyboard and others). As result, I effortlessly downloaded all data, as well as photos, web browsing history and other types of data to my servers. Moreover, I have access to all social networks accounts that you regularly use, including emails, including chat history, contacts list, messengers, etc. My unique virus is incessantly refreshing its signatures (due to control by a driver) and hence remains undetected by any type of antiviruses. Hence, I guess by now you can already see the reason why I always remained undetected until this very letter... During the process of compilation of all the materials associated with you, I also noticed that you are a huge supporter and regular user of websites hosting nasty adult content. Turns out to be, you really love visiting porn websites, as well as watching exciting videos and enduring unforgettable pleasures. As a matter of fact, I was not able to withstand the temptation, but to record certain nasty solo action with you in main role, and later produced a few videos exposing your masturbation and cumming scenes. If until now you don't believe me, all I need is one-two mouse clicks to make all those videos with everyone you know, including your friends, colleagues, relatives and others. Moreover, I am able to upload all that video content online for everyone to see. I sincerely think, you certainly would not wish such incidents to take place, in view of the lustful things demonstrated in your commonly watched videos (you absolutely know what I mean by that) it will cause a huge adversity for you. There is still a solution to this matter, and here is what you need to do: You make a transaction of $1000 USD to my account (an equivalent in bitcoins, which recorded depending on the exchange rate at the date of funds transfer) hence upon receiving the transfer, I will immediately get rid of all those lustful videos without delay. After that we can make it look like there was nothing happening beforehand. Additionally, I can confirm that all the Trojan software is going to be disabled and erased from all devices that you use. You have nothing to worry about, because I keep my word at all times. That is indeed a beneficial bargain that comes with a relatively reduced price, taking into consideration that your profile and traffic were under close monitoring during a long time frame. If you are still unclear regarding how to buy and perform transactions with bitcoins - everything is available online. Below is my bitcoin wallet for your further reference: All you have is 24 hours and the countdown begins once this email is opened. For example (it could be you next time): * If you are unable to see the photos, move this letter to <Inbox> folder or See attachments. Good luck!"
  20. Maybe they recognize that they aren't very tactful when rejecting people and figured that you would understand their lack of response was an indication they didn't want your business. Still, after you followed up with them one too many times after sending the photo they should have just replied something along the lines, "sorry, not a match" instead of blocking you. That does go to the real issue here: If I am already interacting with someone and he wants a picture of me, I don't mind sending one or revealing one if I have a private photo somewhere. I just have a face shot and then a separate naked torso shot that doesn't show my face. But I would never send a photo immediately, only after enough back and forth that it seems like we're a match. I'm not defending them, just trying to explain why maybe things played out the way they did.
  21. This response almost sounds accusatory, as if people are viewing your thread and then deliberately not offering help. Isn't it more likely that 105 people were curious who the provider was and so clicked on your thread to see if he looked familiar? I know that's why I just clicked, and I definitely don't recognize the guy so I have nothing to say about him. If I'm not mistaken, you are typically very explicit at only wanting replies from people who have seen the escort you are asking about (and you bolded ""if you have met him" in your first post about this guy) so isn't the lack of response here exactly what you want?
  22. I'm sure that hiding phone numbers for nonmembers would cut down on time wasters/harassment, but it would also cut down on business.
  23. Honest questions, since I don't know the intricacies of how Rentmen works: Can you block based on IP address? If not, then it seems like the work-around for someone who is blocked is to log out of Rentmen and then view the ad. I never signed up for a Rentmen account but I do have a Rentmasseur account; I usually browse the latter while logged out and only log in if I'm serious about hiring versus just browsing to see who is new in my area. Does it cost Rentmen advertisers more if their profile is viewed more? If not, then I don't understand why any provider would block someone based on profile views. All sorts of businesses have customers who browse but never buy, and other customers who browse extensively before buying. Why should escorting be any different? Someone is supposed to look once and then book immediately?
  24. Older reviews refer to him as Brett, so perhaps there is some chatter about him here under that name?
