  1. I think that by taking the part you quoted out of context that you misunderstood the intended meaning. They weren't saying you couldn't know what you wrote above; they were saying that you couldn't know that they needed to read what you wrote today.
  2. I'm confused. Are you admitting that you stole money from him which you did not repay in full because he felt sorry for you at the time and agreed to accept less than the total amount owed? If so, then the way to make it right is to repay him today, not keep posting about how you're a man of your word, you weren't contacted by him, you did what was agreed to, etc. Your posts are probably more damaging to your reputation and appeal as a provider than the allegations against you since you seem to be rationalizing that it's okay to steal from people if you can manipulate them into feeling sorry for you in the moment.
  3. The problem with inflation calculations is that the more expensive something is, the greater the overall added cost will be if the same percentage is applied. For example, say a client made $30 per hour working full time in 2000. That would have meant an annual gross salary of $62,400. At that time, typical escort rates were $150-$200/hour where I lived, and lower priced escorts were easily found on sites like Craigslist. Just calculating the higher cost option, the difference between the escort's hourly rate and the client's hourly salary was $170. There's been about 95% inflation since then, so assuming the client has the same job and his salary has only increased the rate of inflation. That would mean his salary is currently a little more than $58/hour while the escort's is about $390. That's a difference of $332. Most people actually get raises more than typical inflation (whether due to changing jobs, getting a promotion, etc), so let's say the client makes three times as much as he did in 2000. That's still only $90/hour, which makes the difference between the escort's hourly rate and the client's salary about $300. Looking at the math in this way, it's easy to see how hiring has become more expensive for a middle class or working class person in terms of share of their disposable income. I didn't post the above to argue that escorts shouldn't be able to set their own prices but rather to explain why some clients' perspectives might be that, at current rates, many providers aren't "worth it" for them. Cost isn't the principal reason I drastically reduced my hiring, but I'll admit that as rates rose and my experiences were generally diminished (probably somewhat due to me being less attractive as I aged but also, frankly, more providers entering the market simply to make a buck with seemingly no motivation to actually focus on the clients' experiences) I started feeling like most of my hires simply weren't "worth it." Paying someone hundreds of dollars an hour should result in more enjoyment than one can have with one's own hand.
  4. I started the process in my mid to late fifties.
  5. I'm not sure whether posters can edit their own thread titles, but if you can maybe you should edit it so the name is spelled correctly (currently says "Carlis") so people will find this thread if they just search thread titles. I've seen a few scenes with Carlos and his body is stunning. I sure would enjoy bottoming for him. I wonder if he's really available as an escort, though, since the ad has already expired. Maybe he's just using Rentmen as a way to promote his Only Fans?
  6. I'm curious as to how/why this happens. I prefer dark mode and every once in a while there are posts where the only way I can read what was written is to change to light mode or to highlight the entire posts which sort of makes the post legible. I assume this is related to a choice made by certain posters but I don't see anywhere that someone can force the site to use black text even if the reader is using dark mode. Here's an example of a thread where this is happening for me. The first post is illegible in dark mode but the subsequent posts are legible, and if I switch to light mode the first post looks like the following posts (black text on white background).
  7. When I was actively hiring, I hired my regular generally once per month, another regular a few times per year when he was in my area, and then would sample other guys at a rate of one or two per month. I almost never hire anymore for a variety of reasons, though I was ready to make my first hire in a couple of years recently until the guy changed his plans and didn't visit my area.
  8. I'll admit that I only watched through Brazil because I got bored. If the images aren't too scrubbed looking (not realistic looking skin), they have other distracting artifacts like exaggerated folds between the eyes or on the forehead or overly stern looks. There's also a much stronger homogeneity in these images than I think exists in reality. I generally continue to be underwhelmed by AI. I'm told that it's only a short time before it eliminates a ton of jobs, finds a cure for cancer, etc, etc. Yet when I type a query into Google it's AI search results frequently contains details that I know are incorrect. As they say, garbage in garbage out. Back to this slide show of fake allegedly "most handsome men," I certainly wouldn't have come up with men who look like what I saw during the first minute.
  9. A smart provider is going to know how much he can afford to spend on a hotel room and still make money. I don't begrudge someone staying at a more affordable hotel, even if he's charging at or near the top of the average range, as long as the hotel is decent. I certainly don't think it's going to help an escort perform better if he's worried about getting at least four clients every day just so he can pay for the room and other travel costs and have a bit left over for profit. I don't want to go to a flop house in the worst neighborhood (though honestly one of my hottest appointments was with a traveling guy in a motel in a not very nice area), and beyond the initial reaction to a room in a luxury hotel once I'm in bed with someone I'm not thinking about the view or anything else related to the room as long as the room is decent enough to facilitate a good experience. I can understand that if you are staying overnight in a hotel that you might want something upscale, but for an hour where presumably you are enjoying someone's company? Who cares.
  10. Am I understanding you correctly: An escort came to your hotel room and when you went to check out (after the escort left) you discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia? If that's the story, I'd suggest that he simply forgot the stuff. I don't see why someone who uses drugs would leave their drugs behind. Used paraphernalia that has no further use, yes; but drugs, no. Also, what would he have to gain by "setting you up" to have housekeeping find this stuff after you check out? It sounds like this guy probably did "party" when he was in your room or this stuff wouldn't have been left behind, so maybe it makes sense for you to screen out guys who advertise PNP if you don't already do so.
  11. I hardly asked a dumb question since most people actually link a video or written article if they want to share something, not a screen shot that shows a title of something that the reader can then go look for himself. I asked simply because I assumed the first post had to be a mistake because I don't think I've ever seen anyone try to share information online that's just a screenshot of an article or video.
  12. While I don't deny that's true, there's still a relatively small population of prospective clients compared to the overall population in any area.
  13. In other words, go to YouTube and search for it ourselves if we're interested.
  14. Did you intend to actually share something other than a photo and headline?
  15. I'm guessing that the providers who post here aren't too motivated to share on a public forum exactly how much they make -- or maybe even give a ballpark figure. I could be wrong since I'm not a provider but I don't think it's possible to make a good living as an escort unless you develop a good reputation (so people are drawn to you beyond whatever ads you run) and treat clients well enough that many of them want to see you repeatedly. Decatur Guy mentioned above the math for making $180K/year -- 2 hours per day at $300/hour, 300 days/year. If you don't have people hiring you regularly, how would any escort attract 300 different clients every year for two hour appointments (or 600 if they only hire you for an hour)? Even in a city with a large gay male population, it isn't like every one of them is hiring escorts. All of the other work surrounding meeting one client also takes time, so even if one is drawn to the idea of having sex with a few hundred different men every year it's going to take a lot of work to reach that level of business and maintain it.
  16. Those were her next two hits after Alfie. Her earliest hit, in 1962, was Don't Make Me Over, though it was a bigger hit on the r&b chart than pop (where it peaked outside of the top 20). Unless you're a big Dionne fan you probably wouldn't even remember that song today. Her first big hit that more people are likely to remember is Anyone Who Had A Heart and then, of course, Walk On By which came next was an even bigger hit and is probably even known by kids today given it was heavily sampled in Doja Cat's huge hit from three years ago, Paint The Town Red. Sorry for the digression into discussion Dionne Warwick, one of my favorites. Those who are interested can resume their roasting of this Alfie character.
  17. Well, not quite. Dionne had eight top 40 hits over a period of five years before Alfie appeared on the b side of one of her singles (including one of her signature songs, Walk On By), so she was already a "star."
  18. I just tried it again on my desktop PC. Still works for me. Just to highlight the requirements in case anyone isn't aware of them: 1. Use Chrome. 2. Use hide.me/en/proxy site 3. Enter URL of rentmen.eu ad in the "browse anonymously on the fly" link box, then click Go. 4. You'll likely have to click the age acknowledgement box a couple of times to enter the rentmen.eu site. (Again, make sure you don't click the button for rent.men.) 5. You'll then be able to click the link to Read All Reviews for that advertiser, and the text of the reviews will display. I just tried again on my Android phone and couldn't get hide.me to work on either the mobile or desktop version of the site as I could not see the button to click to acknowledge age.
  19. As mentioned in another thread about him and his boyfriend in the Lounge, he's currently in jail for domestic violence: https://www.tmz.com/2026/06/03/porn-star-drake-von-arrested-for-alleged-domestic-violence/
  20. Any more thoughts? Cancel the sound machine order and just rely on the sound of fans and/or air purifiers. Not much reason to pay money for a device that just makes white noise as far as I am concerned unless you specifically like the "nature" sounds it simulates. Maybe I'm just biased, but the ones I've heard generally sound unpleasant other than the basic "rain" sound which can easily be found in various YouTube videos.
  21. Do you currently hear noise from the people above you? By that I mean are their ordinary footsteps audible? Can you hear them talking or hear their TV or stereo? If not, you'll probably be okay. Apartment living can be rough. About 15 years ago I was so fed up with having my sleep disturbed that I was going to move again, and that happened to coincide with market forces that allowed me to buy a condo instead of remaining a renter. The main criteria I looked for (apart from affordability, of course) was construction that minimized noise transmission. I had my agent go outside into the hallway and talk as he moved around. I had him knock on interior walls while I stood on the other side. I was sufficiently satisfied that the building construction (also steel and concrete) was of sufficient quality to minimize noise. Fortunately I was right. There is some noise transmission but not when things are just at an ordinary daily living level. By that I mean if my upstairs neighbor is moving furniture around I can hear that, but most days I don't know whether he's even home. Even when I had some tenants next door who played their music very loudly I could barely hear it in my unit though it was much more audible in the hallway. Here's hoping that your building is similarly well constructed. I know that more modern construction does not necessarily guarantee this: My last trip to Los Angeles was horrible for my sleep because I could hear every single footstep from the apartments above and next to the one I rented. The builder must have cut a lot of corners because there were all sorts of other defects that were surprising to see in a building only a few years old, including a patio sliding door that had to be held in a certain position in order to close properly because the floor settled at an angle.
  22. Are you saying that all of those photos are recent, not edited/retouched, and that he's 60 years old? If so, I've never seen anyone that well preserved at 60. Edit: I just did reverse image search him and looked at the first page of Instagram photos (I cannot look at more because I no longer have an Instagram account). On some photos his face looks older than in others, but I'd still peg him in the 40-50 age range, not 60. To answer your question, yes, I'd feel scammed if I was expecting a man in his 20s and he opened the door because, while he looks very appealing, he does not look like a man in his 20s. Would I go through with the appointment? Yes, because he still looks great. But someone who specifically wants a man under 30 shouldn't be put in an awkward position of having to confront a liar. Which brings it back to the main point of this tread: Why not just be at least more or less honest about one's age and have people saying how great you look for your age rather than trying to kid everyone that you're 30 when you haven't seen that age for over two decades?
  23. Nick Floyd has a YouTube channel on which he's posted at least a few videos regarding feeling sad or depressed, and in one video a few years ago he said he was quitting the industry. I've seen scenes from him since then, but I know that sometimes scenes are shot and not released right away so maybe everything I've seen has been previously created content. I get both charm and more than a bit of snark when listening to him, but having grown up around snark that wouldn't prevent me from wanting to meet him if he were available.
  24. It seems silly to expect a provider to literally provide drop-in service, but short notice? I understand that a lot of providers don't work that way, but at least back in the day of sites like Craigslist a lot did. I cannot count the number of times a guy would place an ad, I would respond within a few minutes of his ad showing up, he would respond within a few minutes of receiving my response, and we'd meet within an hour. I get that that is not equivalent to having an escort ad up 24/7 on a site like Rent.men because no one is going to be available all day and night every day, and a lot of the guys who put ads on Craigslist only did so sporadically and when they were actively looking for work. (Yes, there were guys who put ads up several times per day every day, but that's not the kind of guy I mean.) I'd never pressure a guy to meet earlier than was convenient for him, though, and sometimes that meant scheduling several hours in advance but a lot of providers were as eager to meet as soon as possible as I was.
  25. I only ever hired one guy for overnights. With him that meant that he would arrive in time for dinner (usually, though sometimes our plans began after dinner) and then he left in the morning when I had to go to work or, if it was a weekend, usually mid-morning. The above advice is good, though: Each provider may see things differently so it's best to be more specific when hiring someone for an overnight what that means for them. After all, we have some providers who are hired for an hour who want to leave in a half hour or less just because the client had an orgasm.
