    Actually.......
After graduating with his master’s degree from the University of Miami and going to cooking school for 6 months, Victor found himself working as a captain in Dominique’s 5 star restaurant in Miami. He was working very hard, but the money was so good he stayed and was saving money so that he could eventually open his own restaurant. While he was searching to open his own restaurant he found a bar for sale in Sunny Isles that only required $25,000 down, so he decided to venture into the bar industry. Once he took ownership he tried different theme nights, but the only thing that seemed to catch on was male strippers; the Boardwalk was born.
The Bar was located in an unincorporated part of Dade County and became super popular in the late 80’s and all through the 90’s. In the early 2000’s the city, which moved its city hall to the same plaza the Boardwalk was in, didn’t want bars in that area. After struggling with the city for over a year, Victor decided it was time to close the Boardwalk. Approximately 6 months later, in April 2002, he opened the Boardwalk in Fort Lauderdale and it became an immediate success and continues to be successful.

Just reading your post gave me heart palpitations - my Saturday night consisted of sitting in front of the TV with a pot of macaroni and cheese.  The disaster for me was not soaking the pot in the sink and now having to scrub really heard this morning,

About 20 years ago I took several vacations to Cuernavaca in the mountains just outside of Mexico City, and studied at the Universidad Internacional. They have a variety of immersion programs for teaching the Spanish language. One year I traveled with the Road Scholars, but other times I went alone and stayed with a family that was arranged through the school. The classes were always very small, rarely more than 5, with 1;1 tutoring available, and frequent assessments, so that you were always with others at the same level. There are many programs and schools for teaching Spanish in Cuernavaca, which makes the community very welcoming and generally easy to navigate. My classmates at the Universidad came from all over the world, as they had programs for multinational companies that wanted to do business in Mexico.  There is a very well established gay community, so always a few bars and clubs, and the city has benefited from the generosity of many gay patrons over the years. The Universidad often arranges special excursions and other events. My favorite was always visiting Teopanzolco.

I have to admit, I keep some of the "single serving" wine bottles in my pantry for cooking.  They work in a pinch, and its better than opening a whole bottle of good wine for 1/2 or 1 cup of wine.  They come in a 4-pack, and each bottle is 1 cup.

I have nothing against drag queens. I respect the amount of work that goes into it. I realize there are many talented people who perform as drag queens. I’ve seen my share of Drag Race. But it’s just not who I am as a gay man. I really have no desire to dress up and impersonate a woman. If someone wants to do that it’s fine. Go ahead. I just feel like it gets too much press but I suppose that’s because it’s so obvious. I think gay men are so much more than putting on a dress. Do we always have to be clowns to get attention?
Yes, yes I realize there’s more out there but honestly I’m just so tired of drag queens
