Palm Springs Friday before the Meeting in April

David SF has, in the past, had a small get together at this home the afternoon of the Friday before the Saturday dinner.  It gives people a chance to meet and get into the spirit of the weekend.  It seems that David is not doing that this year and If there is interest, I would consider having it at my home.  So if you would be interested in attending, let me know and if there is sufficient interest I will decide.   

Please send me a note on this forum's mail.  I will wait a week to see if it seems a worthwhile endeavor as I would have to make arrangements for food and drinks.  I do have a pool and hot tub which would be open if there is interest.

There seems to be interest in having a Friday intro meeting and I have decided I will attempt to follow in the footsteps of DavidSF and have a meeting at my home on the Friday April 10.  It does mark the anniversary of the Titanic setting sail, so I hope to be a better fate with this undertaking.  

I would like to get a head count, as David tells me he always had food left over but he was doing barbecue and as I do not have a grill, I will be doing something different with finger food and some more substantial fare.  My house has an old pool and a small hot tub and limited shade so bring sun protection.  I also have dogs who will be in a separate room to insure their safety and to prevent you from being licked into submission.  

I expect the doors to be open at 2 PM and that people will be on their way to other plans in the early evening.

If you are planning or thinking about coming, please drop me a message here with your e mail and I will send you the particulars including the address.  For those who know Palm Springs, I live in the Demuth Park area, right near Local Animal Shelter near the inersection of Gene Autry and Dinah Shore, an easy 8 minute drive from DownTown Palm Springs.  Lots of parking as there is a lot across the street in the park.

I have sent out the address and basic info for this.  Seems about 20 people are interested so far.  I think we can do better than that.  If you are thinking about attending, do not be shy.  It is more a meet and greet and eat  and a pool to beat the heat.

Same…a business obligation in the way of going.

That…and my brother decided to do some heavy duty construction work on his Palm Springs house this week. Not only depriving me of a usual place to stay…but also family members going to Coachella were hoping to use the house too 🤣
