Annual Palm Springs Weekend

Just a little off-topic.  I have never been to PS and I'm planning a few days vacation there at the end of the month.  I am wondering where I should stay.  A guy on rentmasseur told me all the gay resorts are in Warm Sands.  Inndulge is the cheapest and is well reviewed.  Do I need to spend up, or is Inndulge a good place to stay?

I stay at El Mirosal Villas, an all men's clothing optional hotel for about half the price of INNdulge.  It's also located in Warm Sands.

INNdulge is nice.

Inndulge is a nice place.  If you are looking for company, there are back gates so your guest does not have to check in.  The pool area is nice.  Right now the temps are in the low 80s which is a bit warmer than expected in January.  It was a bit briak, temps in the high 60s last week, so bring appropriate clothing.

Since this is your first visit......

If you stay at one of the Warm Sands gay-oriented "resorts", keep in mind that many are little more than converted apartment complexes, one or two stories.  Definition of "resort" may be open to opinion. Inndulge has a wide variety of rooms and is above average for Warm Sands. Hacienda is possibly the most luxurious in the neighborhood. Others can comment on the other options. Some are clothing-optional and others aren't if that's important to you. All are friendly and casual with many offering some combo of free breakfast, late afternoon social hour, etc.  Locked gates and all that at most of them.

Oliver, the host of the April Pool Party has arrived to great pomp and circumstance here in Palm Springs.  I expect planning for the festivities to start this week during a lunch we are having.  So those who are still undecided, it has always been a good time with like minded men many of them in appropriate pool attire or less at some time during the weekend.

I stayed at El Mirasol last year, and I felt it was a pretty good alternative to InnDulge

My schedule is always busy in April, but I may be able to swing by PS since I’ll be in Phoenix that week. If I stayed at a conventional hotel, would I be able to buy a day pass to InnDulge to hang out with the group?

INNdulge does not offer day passes.  Their facilities are for the use of registered guests and their visitors.  I'd recommend you find someone in staying at INNdulge and become their visitor.  In the past, several local PS residents join the group at INNdulge to socialize.

No, you can attend all of the festivities regardless of where you’re staying. You just can’t visit InnDulge unless visiting a guest who’s staying there. 

Each year a bunch of guys end up staying at InnDulge but it’s not an “official” venue for the weekend.

Gotcha understood, thank you. I've stayed plenty at inndulge and always get the room with the door to the outside  it is quite convenient haha

I had lunch with him the day after he arrived.  I am sure he is here.  Perhaps he is storing energy for the better weather.
