Palm Springs Get Together. Would you attend?

It seems Oliver will be in Palm Springs for only a short time this year and as such, he is not going to be hosting the yearly get together.  I have some ideas as to how to continue this tradition but I will only begin to look into the feasibility of such an undertaking if there is sufficient interest in attending.  So, if you believe it is highly likely you would attend a get together for the weekend of April 9 to 13, please answer in this thread.  

Once again, thanks to Oliver for many years of hard party planning.

I raised the question a couple of days ago with another regular attendee, and I plan to be there for that weekend. I haven't booked at InnDulge yet but was planning to do so in the coming days. If anything is arranged, even just intentions to attend with the idea of arranging meals without a formal organiser, I'm in.

Some of you may have seen the post I wrote a couple of days ago in the thread suggesting a NYC meeting of escorts and/or clients. So I know that anything remotely resembling Oliver's level of organisation is a major effort, not to be undertaken lightly, and I'm in no position to help for obvious reasons.

I plan to be in Palm Springs in April.  I plan to have a reservation that includes the second weekend of the month as that was the weekend of Oliver's pool event last year.

Would Los Angeles or Weho be possible for get together? Understand many are hesitant to visit LA but the location is easier for many of us.

If anything it would likely to set up a carpool from Los Angeles to Palm Springs so that people can travel together (also from OC or Sam Diego too) to ease the transportation.

IF   this happens, it will be to give closure to the years this event has taken place and it will give those who have attended the chance to catch up and make for future arrangements.  Anyone is welcome to arrange a similar or similarly based event in LA or any other city.  Several years of events took place in DC using MAL with moderate success.  That being said, I hope that new people will come this year.  Once I hear that there is sufficient interest, 20 to 25 people who will likely attend, then I will look into what it would take to make this event work.  Oliver will be present and I am sure he will add insights that have allowed this to be a success over the 20 0dd years of this event.   So far, ten people have answered in the affirmative and I expect more will be forthcoming.

As PK mentioned, events have been held, or contemplated, in other locations. To me, one of the things that makes this one, and DC to a lesser extent, work is that it's a location that requires a deliberate decision and a commitment to spend at least a night away from home (longer if more than one of the events is attended). It requires earlier commitment than an event in one's home city, and therefore more thought before deciding to cancel.

To me, the weekend is an event, and it's in a city that provides near certainty of weather and won't overwhelm the event with other attractions or commitments for those few days. So yes, an event in the LA basin would be possible, but it I doubt it could be a substitute for the Palm Springs event.

I certainly would enjoy attending the event.    My largest concern is the timing with conclusion of tax season underway.   Certainly include me as a potential attendee.
