+ 7829V Posted Sunday at 05:50 PM Posted Sunday at 05:50 PM I’ve been hiring masseurs for several years now: sensual, erotic, therapeutic, at spas, at resorts, men, women, you name it. And never, ever has a masseur used latex gloves to massage me. Until recently. It struck me as odd. Maybe it was a germaphobe thing or just a personal quirk, but it felt unusual. Has anyone else experienced this before? Or is it common and I’ve just been lucky that it never happened to me until now? Here’s the post about the masseur who used gloves: https://www.companyofmen.org/topic/162729-javier-50869-in-los-angeles-visiting-san-diego/#comment-2509148 + Vegas_Millennial, spidir, marylander1940 and 3 others 3 2 1
+ JamesB Posted Sunday at 08:06 PM Posted Sunday at 08:06 PM You’re definitely a better person than me. If I see gloves, they’d better be for a prostate massage… otherwise, I’m out the door. + 7829V, + Vegas_Millennial, Bobozn and 4 others 1 3 3
Nightowl Posted Sunday at 08:42 PM Posted Sunday at 08:42 PM The feel and sound of gloves squeaking against my skin would ruin any massage experience, therapeutic or otherwise. spidir, soloyo215, + Pensant and 1 other 3 1
marylander1940 Posted Sunday at 09:08 PM Posted Sunday at 09:08 PM Weird! Unless the provider was playing nurse or doctor... + 7829V, + DrownedBoy, + Pensant and 1 other 3 1

Yes, gloves the entire time, everywhere. Shoulders, back, legs, even calves and thighs. Nothing bare-handed at all. Definitely a first for me, and one I never want to repeat. jeezifonly Posted Monday at 04:57 AM Posted Monday at 04:57 AM In legit physical therapy it's not uncommon, but hiring sensual it's outside the norm. If it was for the protection of the client, say if he had a last-minute cut or burn on his hand, I would expect a simple disclosure with the option of free rescheduling. + Pensant and + 7829V 1 1
soloyo215 Posted Monday at 12:29 PM Posted Monday at 12:29 PM I hope they weren't gardening gloves. I agree that he might not be in the right line of work. There's no way I'll allow it. I don't pay to feel like I am a Petri dish full of germs. That's not going to fly with me. Nightowl 1
maninsoma Posted Monday at 02:13 PM Posted Monday at 02:13 PM (edited) I hope that if this happened to me that I would first ask why the guy was using gloves. If he told me he detected something on my skin that he was worried was contagious, I could tell him that my dermatologist hasn't mentioned anything but that I would get it checked out. I'd then give him a very small amount for the small amount of time he spent with me and I'd be on my way. Assuming my dermatologist confirmed his suspicions, I'd contact him again to thank him and ask to hire him again, with a generous tip, if he was so inclined. If he told me he just does it as a general precaution, I'd leave without paying him anything. Edited Monday at 02:14 PM by maninsoma + Pensant, + 7829V, + Vegas_Millennial and 1 other 4
NYXboy Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago yes I must admit the first thing I thought of is that perhaps you had/have some kind of skin condition the provider was worried about?
