Rentmen.eu vs rent.men

I noticed a lot of folks here prefer using the eu site over the global site… May I know why?

The upside of .eu site is you can have free access to the fun pictures by signing up for a basic account. The downside is you cannot use the RM messenger for a small subset of the providers who opted to only communicate through RM messenger.

Another upside of the .eu site is that it works with the hide.me proxy website whereas .men does not.

Hmm did not know that! Is this still the case? Since I have seen people can’t see NSFW pics anyway.

I prefer Eu because it is easier to navigate. I find the rent.men confusing.

The Eu site is simpler to see and not as noisy but sometimes you can’t message some guys on it.

Maybe i'm crazy but i much prefer the .men site from just a design perspective. The .eu site is too much like it's straight out of 2001 internet for me personally.

I’m in the .men team. The .eu site looks and feels outdated to me.

I look at both.  The EU site had a tab for you to find brand new providers, which is hard to find on the ,men site.  The .men site is a little easier to navigate however (it will give you all listings on one page with a scroll down) and the pictures are bigger.

I've stuck with .eu because it seems to provide more profile information on a single page without having to keep clicking for more info.

I was mostly using rent.men until they switched to only showing explicit pics if you are a paying member. That change hasn't hit rentmen.eu, so I'm using that more often now.

I’m not a fan of sites and businesses that changed things when things didn’t need changing, especially when the replacement is sub-par.

Just realized you can search your buddy list by geo in the .men version. Super useful.

Like everybody mentioned above, since I'm just a basic member, Rent.Men no longer displays explicit photos (unless shared privately) whereas Rentmen.eu still retains the previous setup for public viewing.

That being said, I prefer the layout of Rent.Men better.  The Rentmen.eu layout instantly brings me back to the late 90's when the internet first became popular.

The most annoying problem with Rentmen.eu for me is that the photos' thumbnails cannot be blown up to full-size version vs the Rent.Men picture thumbnails immediately launch into full-screen mode when I click on them.

I'll admit I'm quite computer illiterate.  Do you guys experience the same problem between the 2 sites or am I doing something wrong?  I'm still using an old-school desktop with a humongous monitor and I love to see things at their "maximum capacities," if you know what I mean.   😜

I wonder if there is any difference for folks in states that require ID verification to view explicit materials vs those that do not. I am in CA where verification is not required. I suppose using VPN set to a location with more permissive laws would circumvent the issue altogether. For those not using a VPN to view rent.men, I wonder if explicit pics are visible, where normally they would not be visible.

I’m tired of RentMen and RentMasseur dictating what pics are visible. I’m over them putting pics behind a paywall for their own profit, at the expense of clients not viewing me when I want them to. I pay to advertise. Let me advertise.

I imagine the best you can do to get around the paywall problem would be to post all the "hot" pics kept behind the paywall in your private gallery and then share your private gallery with anyone who asks who doesn't seem sketchy.  That way, you can advertise to non-premium RM members almost as effectively as you can to the premium members.

That's the main reason why I'm adamant about not paying $19.99/month.  Is that price tag outrageous?  No, not by any means in today's super inflated economy.  It just irks me that the middle man, without doing much of anything, is profiting off both sides of the business.  I'd much rather bank that $19.99 and use it to tip the providers.

Yes, I would be happy to do this, but:

On RentMasseur, for instance, I would do exactly what you described, unlocking the gallery for each inquiring client individually. RM removed this feature. So now every time someone asks, I have to upload pics five max at a time per message and send with a small amount of text in each message for it to go through. So annoying, for the client and for me. Plus the site is still not getting a subscription fee from that client.

I’ll add that not only are they profiting on both sides, but providers lose business from would be clients who, for whatever reason, decide to move on instead of going out of their way to ask for access to private pics. Adding the barrier means I book fewer clients than I would without the barrier in place. Neither clients nor providers benefit from this system.

Add to this dynamic that some providers are more guarded or even rude about sharing their pictures. I hear on these forums that some providers will block a client profile that has looked at their gallery a number of times without booking. I believe this behavior is foolish on the part of the provider. When someone is interested in you, you want them to stay engaged and keep considering hiring you. And if they are jacking off to pics, I see no harm. If anything, occupying that much bandwidth in their minds means they are more likely to consider booking services in the future.

Knowing some providers are cagey about their pics, clients will probably not want to ask for private pics from other providers, expecting attitude, or to be blocked just for asking. Not all providers behave this way, but clients don’t know who is ok to ask. So they make assumptions and don’t ask. Consequently, they don’t hire as quickly, or as often as they otherwise might.

I knew my approach wouldn't be AS efficient, but I didn't realize just how much additional work was involved.  That must be frustrating for you

I think the strategy is designed to extract more fees from clients.  The two RMs basically have a monopoly on advertising (a provider pretty much has to be on there to be seen by potential clients) and now they're turning to the client side of the transaction -- they limit what non-premium clients can see (either by blocking the hot pics or making the private gallery harder to access) to encourage them to go premium.  They don't care if that strategy adversely impacts a provider's business because the provider has nowhere else to go.

You could host your pics outside of RM and provide a direct link in your profile. Not ideal but something to consider.
