Gosh! Everyone is so nice here!! Is this really the Internet? lol

I have some ideas for the profile text. Not too sure where it go with it. Here's what I have:

I’m a confident, well-rounded gentleman who knows how to satisfy your physical desires, as well as your intellectual needs. Whether you’re looking for someone who can keep you engaged in conversation among sharp company or someone who can deliver a more private kind of escape, I bring intelligence, discretion, and a confident, masculine energy to every encounter.

That said, I do have an inner barbarian that likes to come out and play 😈

Give an idea of what a client could expect from the inner barbarian.

re: your video question......videos aren't too necessary for me and, besides, only paying Premium members can even see them.....accurate, current, and not-too-posed pictures are most important......

Not true re access to videos.  I'm not a premium member, but there are videos I can see.  Others are locked for premium members only.  I agree though that videos are not as important as accurate photos.

While, I don’t mind videos. I don’t feel they’re necessary to pique my interest.

So I’m not so sure Gold is necessary if you’re just starting out.

Do a search in your city and filter for new listings .  It would be good if you’re still showing up as a new listing.  I personally check that periodically in the cities that I visit.

Welcome to company of men. I really enjoy provider input.

I may not be typical, but I don't need a video or explicit pictures. A few natural shots of the body waist up is fine, face photo (smiling preferably) and intelligent text. Humble is better than arrogant for me.

Someone looking to please a client goes further than one looking for 'generous' clients.  That's always an easy pass.

99% of people looking at your ad are just voyeurs. 0.75% of those people are bored and want attention from a hot guy. 0.25% will actually meet up with you.

Getting started in escorting is very difficult. It will take some time.

This is actual relevant info to the question posed.

Also, RentMen though I appreciate them: doesn’t necessarily do us as much justice than sites like RentMasseur and even former sites like RentBoy/Men4Rent. Without rates, you almost don’t have a functional platform. If you have to answer “how much” 100 times a day, and only a couple book in a week: how many hypothetical messages do you answer?

I’ve reminded RM in private a few times to consider allowing rates, because with no rates and no nude photos: It’s feeling like Grindr 2.0. And Grindr is taking over as the main place to meet in places under 1 million in population, but hardly anyone is paying or wants to pay a fair price on Grindr. Not to mention the extreme amount of time waste spent trying to use it for P4P.

The auto reply feature is great for providing more info, but the problem is like you say: 99% just read the auto reply and then don’t do anything as instructed. It’s good to have some filter before the initial contact.

Not even a full 1%. Wow. Out of those who meet you, what's the percentage of repeats?

Problem with autoreply is that if someone asks a specific question and gets an autoreply, they feel ignored or that they aren't going to get a reply.

I'm not thrilled when I ask a question and get an autoreply to text my question somewhere else.

As a client I have maybe three regular guys I see about 2-5 times a year. As a provider I have zero regular clients.

Most guys can only do escorting for so long. Those who are successful eventually get a sugar daddy or two and stop advertising. I remember seeing a popular onlyfans model in WeHo stepping into a brand new Porsche about three months after he stopped advertising in RM. Those who aren't successful get burnt out quick and stop advertising. Most of the long term escorts on RM are advertising in between sugar daddies or advertising their onlyfans.

Then you have sluts like me who do it for a thrill.

I cannot repeat this enough, escorting is a business. If you're good at business you'll be good at escorting. If you're bad at business you won't be good at escorting.

Note: there are very good massage therapists who do quite well too but who have to provide a good massage.

That’s true, to an extent. Unfortunately in a country that continues to stigmatize and not decriminalize sex work, and a large swath of LGBT community being anti-pay for sex (many guys put this in their profiles): being business savvy isn’t necessarily a free pass to success.

I post lots of pics on RentMen, have tons of reviews, everything that seems to be successful. But my region is cheap guys who don’t want to pay, and if they do pay: they expect $150-200. At $300/$400 most these guys come around very seldom. Some guys will say even $150 is too much. They want to pay $80. Not to knock someone’s ability to give, but I can’t wear myself out at $100 seeing 10 guys to get $1,000 (hypothetical scenario), and then be expected to provide cum and hard dick each time.

And in regards to the guy with the new Porsche, you never know what people are doing or how they got what they have. I know people driving BMWs and Benz’s, but can’t afford to go to dinner. But they’ll go and make another guy spend their money on them instead.

I’ve been a “victim” of such tactics myself. Once went on a date with a guy who drove an Audi TT, he ordered lobster and a couple drinks in addition to my meal. I wasn’t expecting to spend $160 on food that night, but fortunately it was a 1 time learning lesson about him and we ended up just being acquaintances because: how I look being someone’s sugar date, when I’m contending with trying to manage my own business lol.

I very rarely have a bad 1st meeting so I tend to repeat about 90% of the time. Maybe 3 bad ones at most? One year seems to be my limit for regulars. After one year, providers get too comfortable with me and don’t try as hard.
