This seems odd, especially with no dataset available.

While browsing in several cities, it seems to me me that those in the top/verse top category are considerably more common than those in the bottom/ verse bottom category.

Bottom includes both vers top and vers bottom. Also bottom and vers. So it’s no surprise it’s the largest category.

I still think top is the largest single category without any ad-ons, or perms and combinations as my math teacher used to say.

I find the opposite. Ads can repeat on the next page, 1 or 2, usually not more and not always.

Either way, we need better data. I wish I could get a data dump from that place.

I saw a provider I have met 3 previous times over 2 years a couple of days ago. He advertises as vers/top. With me he is top but on our first date I hired him to top me and bottom for another escort I had hired for the night.
He was great at both and we reminisced about it this time. I asked him how often he is asked to bottom and he said not too often. Of course his great asset is a huge dick 8 1/2 and thick. Hard to pass up.

There are 157 pages of top and 193 pages of ver top. So ver top wins

Well I am wrong then. But if I am right that many who advertise vers/top are doing mostly top service for their clients then they are de facto tops. So one could add them to the top category. 😆

I used Rentmen.eu, configured to display thumbnail view, to gather the raw stats displayed below. That view displays profiles in rows of 4 and 15 rows per page. The last page will display however many rows of four plus a row containing the remaining profiles.

As you can see, "Top only" comprises 29% of the total profiles, "Versatile" comprises 28%, and "Versatile/Top" comprises 22%. I was a little surprised at how few bottoms there are. Seems odd that there are only 540 escorts on Rentmen who identify as a bottom.

I wonder how many guys who call themselves “vers” actually bottom.  I would imagine it’s  a designation used to draw in as many prospective clients as possible.

And I have frequently found that guys who call themselves "tops" will indeed bottom, and do it well when so asked.  When asked those providers think "top" is the best choice from a marketing perspective and that it's easier in that it takes less prep time.

It never hurts to ask.  😉

This has been my experience. For years I listed as vers but I’m rarely if ever asked to bottom, do I switched to listing as vers/top. The other day I was thinking of switching to listing as just top since that’s where the demand is, and I gotta admit I love topping guys.

No, they are de facto vers/tops.

If one is versatile, but by some act of fate only tops during the last week of August, it doesn't make that person "de facto" a top.  😉

Most of my clients want to bottom if it comes to that. I’d say 80% are bottom but of course that’s not a statistical measure, just my estimation. It could be affected by me being quite large lol. Rarely am I asked to bottom.

I think there’s a difference between advertised status and real status. For professional sex (clients / films) I’m vers/top because that’s what the market wants, 90% of the time I’m top. For recreational sex I’m generally 50:50 vers. I suspect that many of the guys advertising as vers top or top do so because that’s what the market is driving them towards. In their non work lives they’ll have a different designation.

I would say they are de jure vers/tops, meaning that’s what they advertise as but are de facto tops because that’s what their clients want. Whether they are vers with their boyfriends or casual non paid hookups is irrelevant to their business.

After one [bad?] week? If an attorney doesn't practice for a week are they de facto not attorneys?
