Of course not, but I don't believe that giving up the last word means agreement. In my experience with people who are Christian, I don't think any would ever advocate for brutal punishment of same sex intimacy. It might seem disgusting or gross some people out, but that's not the same as brutal punishment. pubic_assistance 1

They do exist, unfortunately, and it's horrible. But thankfully I haven't encountered anything like that. I'm not into social media, so I'm not aware of some of this stuff. Just awful. I wouldn't consider anyone who espouses violence against anyone to represent Christianity, but I know there are people who wear a cloak of Christianity in order to spread their own hatred. In the Indiana example you posted, local churches in Indianapolis came out opposing the statements. I wouldn’t worry about Church of The Hold Shopping Center when there are governments elsewhere actually doing it. ETA: when a church identifies themselves as a King James Only Church, they’re advertising themselves as one that doesn’t believe in rightful interpretation of scripture and are not taken seriously by other Christians. KJV is a poetic interpretation and is not true to the original Hebrew and Greek texts and no serious believer tries to apply the words literally. pubic_assistance Posted August 22 Posted August 22 I think we are starting to go down the path of discussing RELIGION instead of discussing proselytizing providers. Obviously it's difficult to NOT go there when discussing providers with a salvation mission. Good point, thank you! I continue to assert that anyone is free to proselytize and everyone else is free to listen or not listen.
