General aesthetic poll here.  Hopefully any associated controversy will be lighthearted.  

As a vers/often-bottom provider I’ve been maintaining a fully sugared ass for a few years now, with the help of @thesugardaddy.bsky.social.  (Highly recommended if you go for that kind of thing.)  

But lately I’ve been getting some feedback that something more natural is preferred, so I’ve let it grow back in.   

Is there a consensus for how a provider maintains the bullseye when it comes to hair?

You’ll definitely get different answers to this, as you know. Speaking as a bottom, I’ve tried it all—but I stick with sugaring now because I feel it’s the nicest all around. I’m smooth, but I’ve had a few regulars over the years, interestingly enough, mention they wouldn’t mind if I grew it out. At the end of the day, tastes vary. What matters most is working with what you have, feeling confident, and above all, enjoying the connection with your partner. The hair (or lack thereof) is just one detail. It’s the moment you create together that counts.

What I find visually appealing as well as physically comfortable run hand in hand.

Naturally smooth is nice.

Naturally fuzzy, lightly hairy, and lightly trimmed is also nice.

Lots of hair down there can at times I find be a bit chaffing for the top...also I sorta have a sympathetic feeling for guys that are excessively hairy down there that have to clean up a lot of silicone lube.  I know it is not a simple task.

Stubbly is definitely neither a good look nor a good feel.

I also believe that the "quality" of removal can have a definite impact on the visual appeal.  I have seen both good and botched jobs.  Whether they were spa or DIY jobs I cannot attest to, but the better the visuals can make an impression.

But, everyone has their views on this matter.

I prefer natural, which seems to be the almost non-existent days, and I chalk my preference up to a generational shift. I really do miss the bush in general.

I don't mind either way. IMHO the only downside to being hairy is the occasional loose hair caught in the mouth or once... between the teeth.

Honestly, I say do what you want. You have a great ass. Who'd turn it away if were hairy or hairless? I certainly don't.

I think some hair is preferable, especially when eating.  In my opinion, it’s difficult to have too much.  It’s not a deal-breaker, but I have never been a big fan of hairlessness down there on men or  pre-prubescent twinkishness.  But I am usually not a top.

I'm a bottom who loves to eat a guy's ass and my preference is hairy - the harrier the better. That said, I wouldn't shy away from a naturally smooth guy.

I’m not that hairy, but occasionally I have my balls and crack sugared. I just love the smooth feel, as do my providers. I see an excellent trans person who’s so skilled that I barely feel a thing. And I’ve never had a skin reaction from it. Since I do a lot of road biking and mountain biking, I also occasionally have my legs sugared. Smooth is best with tight Lycra!

Consistently, most men when a survey is taken prefer a completely smooth ass. I feel fortunate to have the luxury of having four different looks, as I can custom what pleases who I see the most. A fur carpet, entirely smooth, a hairy look with a cheeks spread smooth surprise, or a look that the late Brett Mycles (porn star, not singer) perfected, a smooth tush with a very hairy surprise when cheeks are spread. The in-between look either way is a selective preference.

Keep doing what you're doing, in my opinion, unless heading to a bear fest or something like that, where hair is king. Currently, I'm rocking a smooth arms, back, legs, and cock with an entirely hairy rump in a swim brief design, with hairy chest and stomach. Weird and sexy-ish at the same time.

Speaking only for myself, I do prefer a more natural look, but trimming/waxing/sugaring/etc. aren't dealbreakers. Perhaps Your Man In Arlington is correct and it's at least partly a generational thing. I also spent the first 18 years of my life on a farm in the middle of rural Pennsylvania, so not a lot of manscaping happening around those parts during my formative years.
