You have way more tolerance than me. Personally, I find it disrespectful to come off a plane drunk when I did not request a drunk or indicate that I have a drunk guy fantasy. And then to have it continue through dinner, the club and end with him passing out is unexceptionable and I would have been so mad an annoyed. Fortunately for you, in the first instance, the situation turned around for the better. Unfortunately the second instance not so much.

I was living in San Jose, CA at the time. My mom called from Illinois to tell me the news since she figured I was still asleep which I was. I distinctly remember the phone call and turning on the news in disbelief. I have no recollection if I went to work that day or not. Everything is just a blur after turning on the news. I do remember the next day my mom calling and asking that I don't go into San Francisco since it was most likely a target city which I didn't. Like most of us I was glued to the TV for days and probably displayed my American flag.

I've never been ask so clearly none of them think I am sitting on a mound of cash and if one did I would say no. I find it very odd/suspect that someone would ask their client/customer for money. Do they not have anyone else in their life that they have a closer relationship with - a friend, a family member? Asking a client for money to cover personal expenses is not not something that I would do.

So what is the safest way in general to discuss rates and to exchange money with a provider in order to protect oneself?
