How much heads up do you need?

Recommended Posts

Am I alone thinking that that's a stupid question?

If I provider is home and showered he can see a client in 1 minute. If he is half an hour away from home and needs a shower maybe he needs more time.

Escorts also go to the supermarket, gym, swatch TV at home, see other clients, etc it's hard to tell exactly how much time notice do they need at all times.

You're not alone on that.... we have piano lessons, we have family to see and spend time with, we read, we have routine gym times, we prep food, we grocery shop, sometimes we love doing nothing 😜 I'm rarely available on a moments notice, I've always preferred it that way and 99% of the people I see plan our visits in advance 🙌🏽

I try to at least give 2 or 3 days notice, up to a week if I'm visiting their city. A week out is generally my limit, as I'm concerned that more than a week may be too much notice?

That said, I have made an occasional same day appointment; but, based on the provider's communication, they were a couple of hours out to allow them prep and travel time.

I've been told by providers that they require two weeks notice and had others say they prefer same day appointments. It all really depends on the provider.

If it were solely my decision, I'd schedule up to a year in advance. Particularly for things like vacations, partys and conferences. However, I do know this is unrealistic for most people.

If it's local to me ( Palm Springs, Los Angeles, or San Diego ) a few days notice is all I need.  People often schedule many months in advance; those that are coming in from out of state, that's not uncommon or unrealistic. I operate from a calendar that often gives me two alerts so I don't double book 😂

I generally require a 12 to 24 hour notice, as I am hardly ever available at the last minute due to a large reoccurring clientele. Being a certified therapist, I believe I tend to stay busier than most pretend massage therapist and usually require pre booking. Rentmasseur has and “available now” green light feature, which I rarely ever turn on as I’m hardly ever “available now”. Also note that on RentMasseur “Online Now” and “Available Now” are two completely different things.

I respect your craft and I've never offered a service I'm not technically qualified for. I state very clearly in my ad that I'm not a MT, I don't advertise as one and I don't offer MT. I leave that to the pros like you 🙌🏽🤜🏽🤛🏽

As I'm a top I usually assume bottom providers are going to need a day ahead notice. Unless they're in town visiting then they might already be on a meal plan which would allow them to bottom that same day. Even if I'm hiring a top provider I try to give a days notice. If you're hitting someone up at night for a meeting asap and they had some xxl spicy burritos for dinner it ain't gonna happen.

You'd be amazed about how many tops disregard that basic common sense

As others have said, every provider is different.

Some only schedule "day of", others need a week (or more) notice.

Since I’m a top, I assume any escort is going to need a few hours (at a minimum) to prepare.

I find 1-2 days ahead to be the “sweet spot". YMMV.

I remember Steven Draker saying there was only one rule in New York now now now now.

And based on your pictures you also work out at the gym and follow us strict diet!

It’s very rare that I can see a client at short notice. I usually need at least a day’s notice because I’m busy with stuff (other work, clients, life admin, social etc). I’m sure that some clients think I’m sitting around all day waiting for someone to book me…and they seem surprised when they message to ask if I’m free later, or even now.

I have clients who book months in advance sometimes. These tend to be people visiting London so they book well ahead. Usually though most clients tend to book with a few days notice and that works fine.

I think vacations of a week or more wpuld warrant at least 6 months notice. After all if you want the hotels resorts and other attractions booked you need to know that far in advance.

I do think a deposit would be required since you are asking someone to guarantee their time that far in advance. You need to know the provider and trust him. Obviously an established relationship would be necesssary imo.

I think the maximum notice I’ve given anyone is a day, and even then I’ve reconfirmed on the actual day as I’ve been burnt on providers forgetting (sometimes I believe them sometimes I don’t) or being late.

For me it’s often a last minute decision and that’s worked fine - when I reach out to folks whether known or unknown and ask if they’re available later that day they may say yes, no, or not reply and not replying may have them refusing to engage in that timeframe. But enough will in my geography and it’s never been a problem.

I wouldn’t want to book more out than that as knowing myself I may change my mind, work or other social things could come up etc and I’d hate to mess with a providers schedule and I’d be loathe to pay for a cancelation.

More often than not I’ve been told by providers - contact me only if you’re serious about meeting … now … and I’ve incorporated that into my comms / planning.

Of course, that means available, not necessarily ready.

^Thank you for bringing up that point.

^Thank you. As a versatile/mostly top provider, I need notice too. Bottoming takes a significant level of prep, but I can usually handle that with two hours notice or less, I’m already near my shower, and assuming I am eating my normal diet and nothing health wise is preventing me from performing.

Topping also takes notice because I want to give my clients my best. If I just blew a load, either on my own or for a client, I can’t exactly give my next client the best possible experience. Sure I can probably make it work, but it’s stacking the odds for a suboptimal meet for sure. Two hours or less notice assumes I’m a monk all day every day when I’m not otherwise working, and that I haven’t had any clients that day requiring me to top and cum for them (maybe even multiple times).

Provided I’m available, I need at least 2 hours (possibly more if it’s an outcall far out).

^I agree. It takes time to travel, and clients often don’t appreciate what it takes to get ready and get to them on short notice. Clients don’t factor in traffic, or distance, especially if they are visiting from out of town and have no concept of it.

With all that said, I set my booking app to allow my clients to book two hours ahead from the time they are viewing. As long as it’s within my standard hours, they can automatically book same day, two hours ahead. For incall massage, that’s no problem. It’s quite handy when I am working on a client and can’t otherwise respond to a last minute request. The client books, they get a notification with all the info, and show up for their appointment. Easy. Not sure why more people don’t take advantage of that feature.

For me,  it really varies upon the day and the time of day.   Being a structured individual,   I like advance planning and notice,   sometimes it just isn't possible to address a client's requirements if the focus is on an "immediate booking".

I have made it during the middle of a business day.     Interesting to show up for a client in a shirt and tie.

I would never expect less than 2 hours on short notice, though I did have one provider arrive, including some travel, and ready to bottom in 75 min. Of course, he was of an age where much less advance planning is needed! Wonderful guy and very fun experience.

I love that this topic exists...  Because - in my New York City experience - scheduling and logistics kill 90% of all sex encounters.  And like it or not, escorting fits under that umbrella.

There are days - particularly weekends - where I'm available on a moment's notice.  (Or travel time's notice?)  But that's the exception, not the rule.  Sadly, I do this part time. I have a day job.  I have weekly regulars built into my life.  It takes a little planning to find the right time to meet a new client.

Also, let's be honest about ... "needs a shower."  Some of us are primarily bottoms.  We're not offering the reality of boyfriend sex; we're offering the fantasy of perfection in that department.  It usually requires a heads up.

I can spin this the other way too. Clients need some notice as well. I hate when a provider pops up on rentmen in my city and when I ask how long they are here they say today only quite often.

That’s why I don’t even like to tell people how long I’m in a city at all, and just say I’m playing by ear. Of course that’s dependent on driving versus flying in (which I rarely ever do for that reason).

I know I tried to let you know I was only 4 hours from Buffalo couple months ago, but I know that’s too much notice for some people 😂
