socurious
This question is for the providers. Does it sound legit? This "lady" sounds like bot to me. But I'm so new to this. Thanks in advance. Edited September 7, 2023 by socurious
Jamie21
It’s 99% likely to be a scam. I bet there follows a request for bank details to be supplied for payment. Be highly suspicious. prof, Hen, socurious and 2 others 1 1
Simon Suraci
Seems a little fishy to me. Proceed with caution. If they ask you to provide payment information, personal information, or something else unusual, cut your losses. It also depends on the platform. If it’s RentMasseur it’s highly unlikely a woman will contact you, although it is possible. Women, in general, are a red flag for me because the vast majority have been scams. I do see women and have had successful meets, so it’s not a problem but something to approach with a great deal of caution. + DynamicUno
Smells like a scam. Probably a cashier's check scam, or some variation on that. + jeezopete and Medin

Guest
7 minutes ago, arnemgreeves said: I'm sorry, I misread it. She contacted you. Yes, it seems like a scam. If Sophia is a random escort on rentmen, then yep don't trust it. Follow along mate lol it's really not that difficult. "Sophia" is a prospective client that contacted our fellow provider here in which it seems to me to be a very disingenuous inquiry. Wether "Sofia" is a prospective client or as you seem to think she's possibly an escort on RM is inconsequential because yes, this seems like bullshit. I've been at it long enough to know 😉
dbar123
6 hours seems like a very random number for a first encounter. It sounds like a setup of some sort socurious
Archangel
If you have to ask, it more than likely is. + poolboy48220
tbuzzsaw
As someone that gets a ton of scam calls/texts in my own profession, this is a textbook scam. The writing comes off very unusual and unnatural even for a non-native speaker. Seriously though, the third text is hilarious saying the "firm" will be paying you for your services by check. socurious
Soon after I made this thread the bot asked me to fill out a form to provide my address, name, phone number, etc. I blocked right away. Thanks. TorontoDrew
Marc in Calif
"It lifts the heart to know that you will be available to be.... " That's standard flowery scammer language right there! 😃 socurious and EastbayMike 1

nate_sf
This is a variation of a very common scam. I get a variation of it about once a month, though it's never been from a woman. It usually mentions a very generous client who is traveling into town, is very specific with dates, etc. Often they say they are representing someone else and wanting to set things up on their behalf. They follow a similar pattern. Simon Suraci and socurious
