The guy doesn't seem to understand boundaries. Such as:

1. Keep your porn and day job identities separate. Did he really need to disclose on Twitter that he's a judge?

2. If you're a civil servant, don't tweet crude epithets at councilmembers under your known identity - even if the councilmember deserves criticism. Being a public servant comes with some responsibilities, particularly if you're in a judicial capacity. This seems to be where it unraveled for him.

Shouldn't this stuff be obvious?

Yes, although, realistically, I don't think one can get any subscribers on OnlyFans without showing one's face. Ain't gonna happen. The only explanation is that this man's just plain nuts...

This will be a permanent stain on this young man's record for the rest of his life. When he looks for a new job, all the prospective employer has to do is google his name, and this will all come out.  

He not only lost his cushy $120,000 a year job, but also all of the perks that go along with it  - paid vacation, paid sick leave, health care benefits, generous pension, etc.

If you're considered a public servant you just can't engage in this. I'm always reading about teachers getting fired over stuff like this as well. But at least with them I can understand since they get paid horribly.

I’d be more concerned if he was on the take or beholden to corporate interests.  Nothing in the article questions his ability to judge on the merits.  Using foul language to disagree with someone who is critical of drag queens reading to children is not a problem for me.  Watching porn in your office should result in suspension, not expulsion.  Making extra money with porn is not a big offense.  There are too many crooked judges who always rule against the common man.  That’s an outrage

For me it’s not one or the other.  You either have good judgement or you don’t.  With all of the info given with his side hustles and social media posting, he’s shown he does not have good judgment which is something we expect as a standard for our judicial officers.

Really? Where did @BuffaloKyle say that he expects "public servants to be superior to the general public". You will be looking for a long time. Because he didn't say that.

Public servants have a special responsibility that employees in the private sector do not have. That standard is because they are paid directly by the taxpayers for whom they serve. 

If Bozo were a NYC taxpayer, he wouldn't expect a city employee, especially a judge, to be masturbating on social media during work hours.

If Bozo were a NYC taxpayer, he wouldn't expect a city employee, especially a judge, to tell his boss (Mayor Adams) to "suck my c__t" on his Twitter account.

As others have pointed out, the judge used very poor judgment. Any city employee that behaves like that deserves to lose his/her job. The judge was terminated for good cause.
Bozo also hopes the NY Bar Association conducts an investigation and determines whether this guy should ever be able to practice law or serve as a judge in that state. A revocation of his law license may be in his future.

I had a brief foray as a political appointee in City government a few administrations ago, and if you think corporate America has some BS rules, trust, they have nothing on NYC’s rules.

As a city employee - whether you’re a civil servant or a political appointee - you are severely restricted by what you can say/do/post on social media. Employees have been demoted, suspended, and terminated over stuff on social media. The city also requires you to submit your social media handles during the vetting process. If it is found out after that you had a secret/second social media account(s) that you did not disclose, the city will terminate you. 

Side gigs, second jobs, etc. may not seem like a big deal, but when you’re employed by the city, they are. Beyond your own management chain, you also need to disclose any outside jobs to 2 or 3 other departments - and everyone needs to sign off on it before you can technically start the side gig. And don’t think “it’s easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission” works - I knew two employees who tried to pull that, and both were terminated by the city. One had almost 30 years too. Idiots. 

Granted the use of “judge” is a bit of a stretch here -at one time OATH judges didn’t even need a JD- he’s not exactly deciding Plessy v Ferguson or even citing case law for his decisions, but I don’t get how you think it is in anyway appropriate for a city employee to engage in a porn side hustle? I can’t think of one reputable company that wouldn’t terminate him as an employee for either his social media postings or his porn gig or both. 
 

@Unicorn there actually are a few OF/JFF performers who do not show face at all. Ever. But their content brings in the business!
