    Yes and yes.
And yes, I’ve been "condom shamed" by bottoms for using a condom.
I just laugh in their face and leave.
    I’m not fucking a moron.

It would be foregivable if his phone went dead but my guess is that’s not what happened. One cancellation without an excuse is a hard pass for me. Two back to back cancellations for any reason is also a hard pass

There are a decent amount of options in Boston, for those who live in Boston - 1 hour South of Boston might as well be Virginia, and at "rush hour" 1 hour might be 3 hours.  You will have enthusiastic responses if you are willing to travel into Boston, you might also consider Providence or Provincetown on Cape Cod (fewer options, but less daunting then driving into Boston).  You may consider taking the train (MBTA) to/from Boston.   There are options on RM to search by towns - try Plymouth or Fall River to see who is located South of Boston.  If you offer to pay for travel time you might have better luck, good luck!

Thanks, all. The consensus does seems to be that the combo of "no communication and no show" is the dealbreaker and that 15-30 minutes is a fair "grace period" in such situations.
I did find that communicating the boundary of my patience ("if I don't hear back by ___") proved a sanity-saver for me yesterday, so I'll likely carry that forward.
And for those who might be interested:
The gent did ultimately contact me, about two hours after we were set to meet. His story -- if true -- would suggest that he simply had a very bad day, complicated by some truly bad luck. So I'm willing to accept that he may actually be legit, given the enthusiasm of other posters. As for me, I go back and forth on whether I believe the gent's story as I also take come comfort from the not-insubstantial pile of dollars that remain in my pocket.

I prefer either bi providers, or partnered gay providers. I find they have less “baggage” and tend to be less self absorbed.

I tip my massage guy 25%. Every time I see him he does a little more and adds a little extra time to the session. You get what you pay for.

When hiring a masseur who you think may be available for extras. Hire for an erotic massage and let them do their thing. Tip well and then inquire about extras on the NEXT visit.
Masseurs appreciate a regular customer and are more inclined to take it up a notch for a gentleman who is a good tipper and a nice person.

I normally outcall, so if they communicate an issue that is delaying them, I will try to be as flexible as possible.  Traffic around me can be a mess no matter how well you plan.  If they are late with no communication, 30 minutes and I'm done.

Here in Portland there are bike lanes and racks everywhere. I bike to restaurants and coffee shops to meet friends several times a week. It’s so much better than mass transit or lugging out the car. Bikes in a downtown city are really the fastest way to go.

I am not a cyclist, and often I feel annoyed by all the space taken for bike lines in Washington DC. But that is only because I am often a selfish asshole. You have to be a selfish asshole to oppose a trend that is obviously healthier for everyone, including the environment.

As an avid cyclist, I wish more cities would do this! And no, we don’t subsist on tofu and sprouts. We’re trying to get more people out exercising safely on the roads.

I'm going to be meeting them as a duo soon and will report back.
After 30+ years of hiring, this will be my first threesome, believe it or not.  Excited and nervous at the same time.  I can't remember the last time I was nervous about an encounter and that makes it a very exciting for me.  Perhaps this is exactly what I need to shake things up with my hobby that has gotten rather boring of late.
I'm hoping for the best and mostly relying on their experience to lead the way but if anyone has any advice on doing a threesome for the first time, I'd very much appreciate anything anyone has to offer.

I used to get massages from him when he would occasionally come to Boston back around 2016 or so. He was a super sweet guy with a great body and he gave a great massage. Somehow I’m not surprised that he got caught up in some weird shit. When I saw him he was into monetizing everything outside of just a basic massage. Still though, just a guy trying to earn money no matter what.

This is more typical once you’ve established a rapport with the therapist.  You two are obviously comfortable with each other and things may continue to escalate as you go back for more massages.  However, never expect anything and you won’t be disappointed.  You may go back and have a “normal” massage and ending.  Don’t take it personally- could be an off day, or the therapist has other things on his mind, etc.  Remember , it’s a business transaction and 99.9% of the time does not turn into anything outside the room…..try not to mistake it for anything other than that and just enjoy the time spent together.

Sorry but it’s gone. You fell for his talk. There’s lots of debate on here about deposits, so I won’t add to it but I will say that if you’re given a ‘family crisis’ type story to justify sending money then the best and only sensible thing to do is say “I hope things work out for you” and then end the conversation and find a more professional provider.

When I lived in Boston I used to prefer seeing providers I could walk to. It was fun trudging through snow to see someone who could warm me up.
