I’ve come across clients who like to get a discount. I think it’s because they enjoy the feeling of getting something that others don’t, a kind of ego boost. They can tell themselves it was because they’re hot or are cleverer than the sex worker. But it’s also my prerogative to decline a discount. After all, I assume the client doesn’t choose to do his work for less than his rate does he? “Hi boss, I’ll work today for 20% less because you’re a hot employer”. No, that doesn’t happen does it. Also, the assumption that because someone doesn’t discount they don’t pay taxes on their income is a false equivalence. In fact I’d say it’s more likely they are punctilious about such things if they are treating the job professionally. Receipts are offered (clients pay by card, it’s easy, I just press a button on my card reader and it sends a receipt). Most don’t want one surprisingly enough lol.

All the comments on here about getting reduced prices because you’re hot seem to be from guys who aren’t sex workers. That’s interesting, and I infer from it that they don’t really understand the nature of the work. I’d have made those same assumptions before I started doing it. I charge the same rate regardless of what he (or she) looks like. In fact, I don’t want to know what my client looks like until they walk through the door. It simply doesn’t matter. All the other sex workers I know are the same. It’s not being PC either. It’s simply having a rule never to discount. I get young guys contacting me asking for student discounts, or free sessions because they think I’d be attracted to them. The answer is ‘sorry no discounts’. Why? Because this is work. I’m not doing it for recreation, I’m not doing it for fun (even though I enjoy it) but I’m also not doing it for free. Free implies I don’t value my work, so why would I do that?

When I did more escort work I’d probably see one a week on average. It’s very random because I’d sometimes go weeks without any clients and then have a cluster of clients. There were noticeable busy periods in the year and definite patterns to demand. The thing is the nature of the work means sometimes you can’t work (if you’re not well, occasionally I’d catch something so needed to ‘rest’ for a couple of weeks) and then there’s times when I was away on holiday. Also, I never wanted to have lots of bookings because I didn’t want the work to become routine like. As a masseur I see more clients, on average around 4 a week. That’s also very variable, sometimes it’s 3 a day sometimes none in a week. Because the income is variable it’s important ti have other income so I make sure I have other sources of income that’s more reliable.

It depends. A friend of mine did it and he found it led him into the wrong path of meeting people with bad intentions and into doing drugs. We talked about it and he told me he enjoyed the attention and the money but it took a toll on his health because of doing drugs. I helped him stop and now he is clean and has stopped escorting. I think it depends on your mental strength and your reasons for going into the work, and of course your age. My friend was in his 20’s when he started and I think at that age you’re probably not mature enough to make sensible decisions. I started doing sex work when I was older and I think it helps to have some life experience otherwise doing sex work can eat you up. If you’re doing it to boost your self esteem then I think that can end badly because you keep needing a bigger hit if that makes sense. If you’re doing it because you enjoy meeting people and are interested in how they enjoy sex then that’s more likely to be sustainable. I’ve had only one bad experience with a client and I learned from that and from speaking with other sex workers about how to read signs and avoid bad situations. If you work professionally, with better quality clients and you keep it as only part of who you are then I think it’s a fabulous job. I love it. I get to meet interesting people, make them happy, and I don’t have to sit at a desk or answer to a boss. Of course I still kiss ass….but it’s literally rather than metaphorically. Much more fun.

I prefer clients book via my website or WhatsApp/text message. It’s because in the past I’ve had bookings in my calendar and I’ve needed to contact them ahead of the session but it’s been a hell of a job to work out how the booking was made. I probably should note the source when I update my calendar. That can be a new year habit! The problem is that my clients have booked via all sorts of routes: phone call (yes, that still happens!), text message, via various messaging apps, email, Twitter DM, via my profile on various websites, RentMasseur message, on Scruff and even one time someone booked in person whilst we chatted at the gym. It becomes difficult to manage. So I find it simpler to encourage the final booking to be via WhatsApp or text. That way I can find it easily should I need to contact them. I do find that older clients prefer to book via a phone call. Questions can be asked, and you get more of a sense of the person than via written word. It’s nice, although it is sometimes difficult to talk detail unless I’m somewhere discreet.

Diet helps too. High fibre diet is best. If I’m bottoming for someone especially hung or if it’s going to be a long session with lots of different positions then I’ll use a shower attachment a few hours beforehand, and then a last minute check with a bulb douche.

I find it’s easier to schedule with clients on a messenger app like WhatsApp or Telegram, or Signal. I’m generally not checking my RentMasseur profile although I have a notification set for any messages so that I don’t miss them. It’s just easier and more instant to deal with the booking arrangements via a messenger app rather than a website.

I ask clients to leave their shoes outside the door (they’re safe, in a hallway). It’s to keep the floor clean but the added benefit is they can’t get far without their shoes if they’re going to do a runner!

My advice remains though, don’t pay deposit unless you’re prepared to lose the money. I’m trying to view it from the hirer perspective. I have incurred costs because clients didn’t turn up (not as much as an airfare or hotel booking but still I’ve spent money travelling or had opportunity cost of lost alternative bookings) so I do understand how annoying and painful it is to have someone flake on you last minute. But from a client’s perspective I think the risk of being naive and paying a deposit to a bad actor in this business is high. I’m saying when you book a provider think with your head not your dick. Your wallet will appreciate it.

Yes, I don’t request deposits. I’d say to anyone booking a provider to not pay a deposit unless you can afford to lose the money because that’s the risk. Pay deposits with full awareness of what you’re risking. I don’t travel though so my circumstances don’t really require deposits. Also I have a sense for flaky clients and simply don’t take bookings from them. After years working in the industry you get to see the signs. On the rare occasion a client fails to show up without a reasonable explanation then I report them to a site that we use to share info on time wasters, and I block their number.

Oh dear this one comes up with regularity! If he mentions erotic or sensual massage then you can be comfortable asking him what he’s prepared to include in that. It’s best to be clear about what you want. Masseur’s advertising erotic or sensual will be open to most questions but if you want full sex then I think many would decline that because they’re not generally charging escort type rates. I prefer clients to ask me about what they’re looking for because the term ‘sensual’ is very open to different interpretations.

I agree with @nycman and @dbar123. Half his fee sounds like a significant sum and must be extremely annoying to lose. I’m sorry to hear it. But I think you should definitely not chase your loss by going through with meeting him.

He’s a professional (or is supposed to be). He shouldn’t need to know why, nor should he be chasing you for business. It’s not like he’s being faithful to you is it…so why should it work that you only hire him? I don’t think it right that you should treat it like a relationship break up: “Hey!…I met a younger, hotter guy. I agree with all that. Onlyfans and Justforfans are very careful about what gets posted. When I film with other registered models it’s ok because they have already provided their ID to the platform, as have I.
