With the exception of the first few guys I hired, I have photos of everyone on my hard drive since my hiring began in earnest after the internet began to be used for this. It would therefore be easy for me to count the number of men I've hired, and my memory is still decent enough that I could probably count whom I did what with. I cannot imagine doing this in line at the DMV, though, since there's no way I could remember all of these details on the 100+ men I've been with without looking at their photos to remind me.

I have no idea whether any of that regarding Austin Wolf is true, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was since he's always come across as a narcissistic jerk. I assume JayM4M had some insecurity about his body since he remained fully clothed in a lot of videos I've seen. It's too bad because I think he's actually sexy naked in the videos I've seen. Certainly not as lean as the guys he chose to film with, but what would probably have been described as an "average" physique prior to the obesity epidemic. I definitely found him closer in appearance to a lot of the models he worked with than many other men who've created their own porn studios such as Jake Cruise.

I think "passed" and "passed away" carry with it the notion that there is some sort of after life (whether that be a Christian heaven, reincarnation or something else), but it's honestly so much a part of this culture that I think a lot of people use the term even if they don't believe in an after life. It's similar to how people might say "bless you" when someone sneezes even if they're aren't religious, though I personally prefer "salud."

Ever had to cancel on arrival due to misrepresentation?
maninsoma replied to + 7829V's topic in Questions About Hiring
I've definitely walked away a few times: A few times due to gross misrepresentation of their appearance (old photos, using someone else's photos). One time when the guy, after keeping me waiting outside a bit after our appointed time, proceeded to tell his next client to arrive in a half hour as I started to undress. I told him he clearly was providing a revolving door type of service, shorting clients on time. He started arguing with me but I just left. I consider this misrepresentation because if a masseur has an hourly rate and clearly does not intend to provide an hour's worth of service, then he's misrepresenting himself. One time because they guy started discussing limits and suggesting extras as soon as he got in my door. I consider this a misrepresentation because he advertised an "erotic massage" but then upon arrival said his base rate was for both of us still clothed. He basically wanted an escort rate for a standard massage with a happy ending, so I gave him $40 for his travel time and sent him away. He wanted more, but I told him he was lucky to be getting anything from me because I viewed him as a con artist. It's too bad because he was extremely attractive. -
I'm not privy to the asset portfolios of any escort, but I have the impression that some of the wiser ones who have been around for quite a while have amassed real estate and stock market holdings that certainly put them in the millionaire category. I agree that Kris Evans, in his Bel Ami days at least, was stunningly attractive. It shouldn't be that difficult for anyone to find his current Instagram. I would just post it here but I don't want to run afoul of any forum rules. Just search "Kris Evans Bel Ami real name" and the first search result will be an Instagram page under his real name. (I don't know if that's his current Instagram page, though, since I divorced myself from Zuckerberg's empire after the election.)

I'm sure some of the usual suspects will pop up soon to chide us for saying something bad about an obvious liar. In this case, he isn't even doing a good job at lying. One of his main photos on rentmasseur is a calendar cover dated 2010, which means he would have been 15 at the time of that cover shoot if it was a current photo then.

Do Straight Guys Like The TV Show Bewitched?
maninsoma replied to + Gar1eth's topic in TV and Streaming services
I'm from a solidly working class family and we eventually had two televisions by the early 1970s -- the new color set in the living room and the old black-and-white set in the den. Prior to that, the parents controlled what was watched but I don't really remember who exerted more control. I actually don't remember watching Bewitched during first run, though. My mom set a fairly early bedtime for us even as we got older, so we mostly got to watch reruns of prime time shows during the day. I remember watching reruns of Bewitched and Batman on that black and white set, and to support the notion that maybe Bewitched resonated better with females and gay males than straight males my straight brother definitely wanted to watch the Batman reruns but I don't remember him being around when my sister and I watched Bewitched. Even as a prepubescent boy with no knowledge of "camp" or gay culture, I knew Endora and Uncle Arthur, in particular, appealed to me in a special way. -
Your first sentence is the obvious way to think about this. If the amount of the charge matches what was purchased at one of the other stores AND there isn't a separate charge on the statement for that store, then there must be some common owner/franchisee of the stores. I wouldn't worry about it if all of that is true. If, however, the amount is wrong or there other two transactions were billed under their respective store names, then I'd be concerned that the payment account was compromised.

I can understand the frustration with threads that are started just to malign an escort that isn't about his actual performance, but if no one takes the bait then the thread dies quickly. Unfortunately, I don't think piling on the piling on actually accomplishes anything, particularly when some of the posters who criticize behavior in threads like this engage in similar negativity in other threads. I think it does speak to a certain element of human behavior -- it's very easy to get drawn into a pile on.

I guess he prefers to top or simply wants to be compensated for the time he spends to prepare himself to bottom.

His ad indicates he's leaving tomorrow for a week in Hawai'i, so if you're only in San Francisco for a short time today's your opportunity. (I don't know the guy so I'm not saying you should or shouldn't hire him; I just checked his ad to remind me who he is and I noticed his travel plans.)

Makes sense. Hopefully down the road your finances will improve and you'll feel more able to indulge as a client on occasion.

Telephone verification for reviews on Rentmasseur
maninsoma replied to simongayx's topic in Questions About Hiring
I don't think so. I wouldn't give them my phone number. -
Just curious why you cannot hire even though you are a provider. The provider I was the closest to (friend as well as client) occasionally hired other men, particularly when he was traveling.

I assume this is the cover in question? Yes, he looks older (and he is, like the rest of us), but I don't know that the basic shape of his face has changed much.

Advice for skin bleaching of the nether regions
maninsoma replied to + Alabastrine's topic in Men's Health
Just because a product is "manufactured" doesn't mean it's safe, either. I see what you recommend lists colloidal silver as one of its ingredients, and that isn't something I'd want to take internally or to apply to my skin. I'm not sure about the other ingredients; only that one jumped out at me because there's so much misleading hype around it from many in the "I don't trust modern medicine but I will trust the unregulated supplement marketers" camp. -
A urinal by my bed? If I had severely limited mobility, then yes. But as a recommendation for everyone? Seems a bit overboard to me, and in order to use it you're still having to wake up a bit. Might as well walk down the hallway to the toilet. It typically doesn't take me long to fall back to sleep anyway. A do have a low intensity, color LED bulb in my living area that goes on at dusk and goes off at dawn. I do like having some visibility in the middle of the night when I get up. I don't see the need to have a light in every room, though. If you're actually going to get up, wouldn't you just turn on the light in the room you're using. I do like some of the suggestions at the top of the list, though, particularly putting contact information on the refrigerator and in my wallet. Rather than typing out medical information, however, I would add something to the list: Always have a copy of your health insurance card with you, even if you're just going out for a jog and not carrying anything else. If an accident happens this will not only identify you but also provide access to your health information since EMS will know where you receive care. (Well, come to think of it, this works for me because I'm part of an HMO that provides both the insurance and the services; I guess if you're insurance company is not your provider then it might help to have your medications listed along with the name and phone number of your primary care physician.)

I guess I have a different view of someone being a "clock watcher." If someone is wrapping things up early so they are out the door right on the hour, that's wrong. If someone schedules himself so he needs to be more-or-less done right on time, it might not feel great as a client because it does highlight the transactional nature of the meeting but the best way to avoid that is to arrange for a longer appointment in advance or to ask if there's some flexibility about extending the appointment time in the moment. I frequently used to hire guys for an hour but would say that in the moment I might want to extend that to 90 minutes and ask if that would be possible. Most of the time the men I hired were okay with that.

I think the risk of running into law enforcement while hiring off Rentmen is far, far lower than the risk of simply hiring someone who fails to deliver on what he advertises. That's the real reason to vet the men whose ads interest you. Sadly, I think this is far more necessary now than 25+ years ago. I think in the earlier days of hiring off the internet, the scam artists hadn't yet figured out it was an avenue they could easily exploit.

Like it or not, but tattoos have become the norm now rather than an exception, so I don't think you can generalize about people who have tattoos (even people with their bodies covered in them like Bad Bunny). I personally don't like tattoos and while I can overlook a few smallish ones, once someone is covered like Bieber or Bad Bunny I don't care what the tattoos themselves look like. I just have a visceral reaction that says, "not for me."

Use the search function to see if there's already feedback on guys whose ads interest you on Rentmen. If you don't find any previous discussion, you can start a thread to ask about them.

This series apparently began several years ago but I only found out about it a week or so ago. I looked back through this forum and didn't see any previous discussion of it, so I am sharing it here. How would I describe it? Campy. Hot guys. Funny. Strange. Murder-mystery. Predictable and unpredictable at the same time. At first I wasn't sure what to make of it, but the more episodes I watched the more impressed I became. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UD-C5oWd8Is&list=PL8indjdn_qTUc-LSS8v-mrKuPzxhd1Q0H

Are you sure about what happens if you cancel versus pause your Prime membership? It isn't like a membership is required to shop on Amazon, so I don't know why they would delete all of your information if you stop being a Prime member. If anything it makes sense for them to keep everything else available in case you want to still shop on Amazon and either pay for shipping or buy enough to qualify for free shipping.

I don't know you or your family and friends so my reaction may be off base, but here's how I read what you wrote: You have family and friends who are trying to tell you that they wish you would be more open with them about your sexual orientation so they could feel closer to you/know you better, but instead of allowing that to happen you continue to hide from them. Your actions aren't actually protecting anyone (including yourself); they are hindering your ability to be closer with other people and, it seems, hindering your ability to accept yourself.

The problem with rates posted by clients on Rentmasseur is that it typically isn't clear what the nature of the session was, particularly for providers who advertise on both Rentmasseur and Rentmen. I would hope that the client who paid $350 for an hour hired him as an escort, not a masseur.
