I've been watching a lot of those shows as well, and I completely agree. It's processed food that I'm most worried about. It's poison.

I personally am an advocate for the ketogenic lifestyle. I think the human body is designed to burn fat for energy instead of carbs. The keto diet is very difficult to stick with though.

Recently, I've been watching lots of documentaries on Amazon Prime about the food we are consuming.

Frankly, we are killing ourselves with the processed food we are consuming.

Just look around at the epidemic of obesity, diabetes, heart disease.

Anyone else come to a realization that each of us needs to change our dietary habits?

Basic sex isn't basic for everyone: This isn't a one-size-fits-all discussion. Sure, with some escorts there's narcissism or games happening, but for others, sex is just one component of a very layered situation.

What you're describing is frustration on an hourly level and that's fine. Just be careful not to lump all escorts and situations into one black or white pot. This industry is wild when it comes to shades of grey.

Character development could be better, but the plot is riveting. Kidding aside, I attended a seminar on this, and I want to learn more. Putting novels aside for a few weeks to dig into technology, which never has been my strong suit.

I would have such a shitty attitude toward any cop who arrested me for this. I'd be like, "Hell yes I was going to pay for sex, and as soon as you release me I'm going to do it again."

Looking for sex with children or little helpless drug-addicted women is one thing, but there's nothing wrong with two grown ass men having consensual relations - even if money is involved. My opinion, and I would share it with everyone were I ever arrested. Family included. But I'm lucky. I don't have a beard wife or a job I would lose for being found out. I'm also not the least bit ashamed of the fact that I hire for companionship and sex.

It just a miniaturised version of all these things that used to take so much room, and that you couldn’t do on the move because you wouldn’t carry an encyclopedia with you.

There is no need to wait in line for it, that is a complete waste of your own time, they always make enough. And there is no reason to become obsessed by it, it is like being obsessed by your new hammer. It is a tool! Anyone who thinks they might fall into bad habits have no self control. I am not going to have respect for openly admitting their lack of self control.

I'm a huge fan of The Expanse. I've read all 7 books by James S A Corey (2 final books coming out by 2019) and this show is knocking it out of the park! Steven Strait and Wes Chatham eye candy doesn't hurt a bit. The show's gotten too expensive for SyFy given the limited number of viewers who want to put up with a censored version with commercials. Since Netflix and Amazon Prime are both carrying it, the authors are optimistic that it'll get picked up and extended, they're only in book 3 so far. I pay my vote of confidence to Amazon by buying the full season in HD ahead of time for $30. Best sci fi series out right now by a mile.

all the time. They tour many different cities and are booked up and they accompany some of their regulars on vacations. They must be good for $75o-&1000 daily and if they
work 200-250 days yearly, or more, they must be doing quite well. Not sure how many guys fall into this category but there may be more out there than we think.

Dusty Springfield. Ok, now I can claim total expertise on this subject.
I was called, in print, the greatest Dusty expert I the USA. My pal, Paul can claim that title internationally.
I was privileged to not only see Dusty perform live, but met her personally on a number of occasions.
She was an incredible performer, but alas, she suffered from bipolar disorder aa well as alcohol and drug additions.
She conquered drinking but drugs (prescription) were another problem.
Yes, she was gay and had many female partners. Her Irish Catholic background and the fact that she grew up in the '50's perhaps had a to to do with her closeted mentality, although there were times that she pushed the envelope, with quotes to the Evening Standard in 1969 like “I know I’m as perfectly capable of being swayed by a girl
as by a boy. More and more people feel that way and I don’t see why I shouldn’t.”
There have been a slew of movie scripts floating around for a biopic on her life. There have been at least 10 different stage productions, but in the end, the problem is that you can't replicate or come close to the voice. Right now, the rumor mill has it, Downton Abby actress Lily James may do a biopic. Madonna once had the rights. Adele is a great singer, but she is no Dusty, and Adele is the first to admit it. She was "attached" to one project, but that was in 2013. Even Kristin Chenowirth was once involved in a biopic.
Right now a new stage production is being presented in the UK and is on its way to the West End. This once has a bit more power and credence behind it, as it is being produced by Dusty best friend, Vicki Wickham.
The late singer's rise to fame will be documented in the production, which is being written by Sandi Toksvig after she was contracted by producers Vicki Wickham - who was the former manager of Dusty - and theatre mogul David Ian.
Vicki has admitted she's seen ''numerous really bad'' shows and scripts written about Dusty - who died from breast cancer in 1999 aged 59 - that haven't captured the true colourful life that she led, and she's determined to show a side to the blonde beauty that no one knows about.
She told the Daily Mail newspaper: ''I keep going to these and coming out going, 'Yes, the music's great - but it has nothing to do with Dusty!
''Dusty was extraordinary. Yes, she could drive you mad - all divas do. But there's such a lovely side to her that should, and will, be told.''
The musical - which is still yet to get a director and is currently without a title - will feature Dusty's most famous songs, such as 'Son of a Preacher Man', 'I Only Want to Be with You' and 'Yesterday When I Was Young'. Vicki has vowed the production will venture into the dark side of Dusty's personality but will end on a high note.
She said: ''I promise you, you'll come out happy and singing.''
Oddly enough, Vicki, along with author, Penny Valentine, wrote the warts-and-all bio of Dusty called "Dancing With Demons" which chronicled the sad, alcohol, and drug fueled events in Dusty's life.
Anyway, Dusty has been deceased for 19 years but she is not forgotten. She has her OBE and has been inducted into the USA and UK Rock and Roll Halls of Fame, her recordings of "The Look of Love" and her album Dusty In Memphis have been placed in the Grammy Hall of Fame.

    Pre-rant clarification:

Before I go on my angry rant, I want to first clarify a few things. I am not in anyway arguing against people being total Tops or Bottoms. I myself am a total Top, and I feel people shouldn’t be ashamed of what they like to do sexually. By extension, I am also not arguing against escorts advertising as total Tops are Bottoms. I definitely don’t want an escort to do anything they don’t want to do, or not be able to deliver something they can’t.

    Angry Rant:

YOU GREEDY BOTTOMS ARE GETTING ON MY FUCKING NERVES RIGHT NOW! IT’S BAD ENOUGH THAT THE INDUSTRY IS ALREADY GEARED TOWARDS YOU, MUST YOU FUCKING MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR EVERYONE ELSE TOO!

    Normal Rant:

Okay, so as a Top I known I’m in the minority of the escort hiring market. I try my very best to accept that. Every time a sexy guy gets posted to Deli, I know not to get my hopes up because he’s probably going to end up being a total Top. If I’m lucky, he will be a Top/Verse and I can start the uncomfortable process of decoding what that really means.

Sometimes, I’ll mention my disappointment in someone being a top and I will get the same response. “Well I’m sure if you make a good enough offer,” someone will say, ”he maybe persuaded to go the extra mile.” Wonderful, $350 is not enough. I have to shell out more now.

Well today, I show a post that just pissed me the fuck off. In a discussion about one of the many guys I would kill to hire (but can’t because he advertises as only a top) a guy says he wouldn’t hire him because he bottomed in a film. Suggesting that he wasn’t a real top. Excuse me? Seriously WTF!!!! I have to go out of my fucking way to find someone who will agree to bottom, while you can just push aside someone who took it up the butt once?

You asshole! You’re the one ruining it for me. You’re the reason everyone guy has to advertise as a Top, and put “100% Top,” “Total Top” “Don’t ask me to bottom,” all over their profile. You’re the fucking reason I’m having to decode every profile I see, just to find a clue he may agree to bottom. You’re the one who makes me have to constantly ask what the hell a Verse Top is! You’re the reason I have to pay more money to do most of the fucking work! FUCK OFF YOU, AND ALL YOU GREEDY BOTTOM BITCHES! IF YOU WANT A TOTAL TOP, HIRE A GUY BORN WITHOUT A FUCKING ANUS!!!

raife reacted to + purplekow in Raise The Rate 2018 Proposal Letter
You are certainly free to charge what you feel is equitable. Of course a 33% raise in rates would likely drive some to hire less often and lead others to not hire at all. Those who are considering trying to contact an escort for the first time may find the rates a bit too much for a experimental encounter. Tips, likely will decrease in frequency and amount.

As for me, a tightening of the financial situations has led me to downsize my encounter number, raising the rate will likely reduce that number further.
So good luck with your plans. I am sure there are many that will join you and quite a few that will not. We will call those escorts who do not, the busy ones.

It’s wonderful to read about all your successes! I’ve been a fitness obsessed person for most of my life, but about 15 years ago I really started into the paleo world and the results have been superb. I’m also an O blood type, so protein is my friend. All of my ratios are optimal and I’ve lost all cravings for sweets and most carbs. You can find gluten-free pizza for cheat days. I haven’t had a bagel or “enriched wheat” products in years. Only in Europe will I touch bread, since they are using ancient grains and are non-GMO.

You do need the yolks, btw. A great breakfast for me consists of two scrambled eggs, an avocado and a few dollops of salsa.

I’m very interested in the intermittent fasting idea, mainly for the metabolic benefits.

Cody, you’re dead on about the juices and sodas. Diet soda is particularly harmful. And a glass of orange juice is a sugar and calorie bomb. Get in the habit of drinking a liter of water first thing in the morning for immediate hydration and satiation.

Agree with everything but the egg whites. Studies have shown (like how vague that is?) that it is better to eat the whole egg than just the whites.
5 years ago I was obese and my general health was very bad. After a major weight-related health care, I made eating well my first priority, sleeping enough my second priority and moderate exercise my third priority. Today I am more fit than ever. I'm in my 50's and have been told that I have the body of a 25 year old. I was fortunate to have lost the weight slowly and sensibly enough to not have any excess skin hanging around. I had to be patient - I lost the weight in stages over the course of 2 years, and continue to sculpt my frame.

Think of it this way - eating is the most important thing that you will do today and everyday. It makes sense to plan your meals. Know what you're going to eat for your next meal before you finish your last meal. If you know how to cook, great. If you don't know how to cook, learn. Don't rely on prepared foods, most of which are high in sodium, fat and preservatives. Simple foods are all you need at first (poached chicken, baked fish, grilled steaks, plus salads and healthy soups) until you develop your skills. Keep healthy snacks on hand and have scheduled times to eat them. There's a lot more, but know that you CAN do it. Visualize yourself in shape and you can get there.

One thing few speak about is the psychological difficulties you might encounter on the way down. The crap in your gut can send negative messages to your brain "You'll never do this," and "Feed me," are two frequent messages you'll get. Hold on to your vision and drink water when you get cravings.

If you're on a lot of meds for weight-related conditions, find a doctor who will help you wean yourself off of the meds. If your doctor doesn't get that the meds are not helping you long term, get a new doctor.

One last side benefit - hard body usually means bigger, harder dicks! Just something to think about.

We can all be our best selves!

I've posted extensively about my empty nest in another thread, my sons all being away at college now. I'll leave discussion of family life in that thread so those uninterested can avoid it, but being on my own has made it possible for me to pursue a social life that takes my sexual attraction to men into account, something I'll tell the boys when I have a better idea how this is going to work.

So I started dipping my toes into the water back in September. I've been playing basketball now and then with a gay sports group, casual games, I can't commit to joining a league because of work-related travel, but this is fine for now. Nice friendly guys, including a couple of other fathers. It hasn't really turned into much of a social thing, but that may be me not being open enough.

Somehow, my vision of being openly gay involved bars, I guess because of how often gay bars figure in porn. So, I decided I'd go see for myself. A little research turned up Nellie's a gay sports bar in DC-- sounds perfect. So back in September I tried to guess how men dress to go to a gay bar (or any bar, I'm not much of a bar-goer). I settled on khakis and a button-down shirt, which turned out to make me the preppiest guy in the place, but it wasn't bad. Nice enough place, lots of types of people there-- including lots of drunk straight women! There were two bachelorette parties there. This is a thing? Women go to gay bars for these parties?

Anyway, I had a beer and wandered around. People seemed nice but I realized I have almost no experience meeting people in bars. I was engaged before I was 21-- I cruised for women on campus, at games, in parks, but never in a bar. (I wasn't particularly there to cruise, but I was open to something happening, and had prepared just in case.)

I guess I need a refresher course in flirting, or something. The only person I recognized as coming on to me was one of the drunk bridesmaids. But I watched four guys play darts for a while, and when one left, the others invited me to play. It was perhaps my first time casually hanging out with gay men and it felt good. When there was a shriek from the bachelorettes, one of the guys asked me if I was their designated driver. I said no, and asked why, and he said a husband or boyfriend usually comes along, so he had assumed that was me since I was "probably the only straight guy in the place."

Okay, not what I had prepared myself for, but I laughed it off and finished the game. There was a baseball game on, and I stood and watched for a while and talked with some guys watching too. After a couple of hours I left, and went home bemused by my rustiness and need to explore other aspects of gay life. But I had a good time, and I've been back (I watched two World Series games there). More to come, and I have some questions for you guys.

In my opinion, in that moment they are hustling me and that's not going to happen. In all fairness I'll add that my well trained Doberman Pinscher is in the area.

    My 1000th post:

This forum is an incredible mountain of information about escorts and masseurs and other related subjects. But you can also access the even larger mountain of information that is stored in the members’ brains, by asking them a question.

Questions are welcome, but they are more likely to be answered if asked by a popular member. So you do want to be popular here, if only to get answers to your questions.

    How to be popular?

Before you ask a question, you may want to do the following:

    1. Search first! Very likely there is already a thread already about your subject. Use the search box and read the existing contributions. If you still have a question, add it to that thread.

    2. If your question is about a masseur or an escort, look for reviews on Daddyreviews.com

If you are still going to ask a question or ask for a recommendation, remember this:

    3. Accept that members here are very different. We have members who are 19, and members in their 80s. Some are not in/from the US and grew up in a completely different culture from yours. They obviously will have a different point of view on your question, and all these points of view, although some may be unhelpful to you, are equally welcome.

    4. Accept that your preferences are not everyone else’s. They may not even be the majority’s preferences. So when you ask for a recommendation, “good looking” is not sufficient, it means 500 different things to 500 different members.

    5. Be specific! If you are into tall guys, say “ over 6’2” “ or whatever the number is. If you are into young guys, don’t say “young”, say “under 25” or whatever the number is for you. A 35 yo is young for many of our 70 yo members. Being specific will help you get feedback that actually answers your question.

    6. Be respectful! We love our escorts. We think they are amazing people. So do not say “he is ugly”, but you can say “that is not the type of face I am looking for, I prefer a chiseled jaw, and no wrinkles around the eyes”. Do not say “he is fat”, but “I would prefer a recommendation for a guy with a lower BMI.” Think about it, if you insult someone’s favorite escort, that someone will stop helping you with recommendations.

    7. If someone is so unhelpful that it is preventing you from finding the info you need, there is an ignore button on their profile. That will remove (for you only) all the posts from that member, and you can keep reading everyone else’s answers. So there is no point telling someone to shut up. If someone has broken the rules, you can use the report button and an admin will look at the violation. No need to enter a posting war.

This is just advice and not intended to be rules.

This post is a draft and likely to be edited multiple times in the future based on feedback from the forum members. I hope to get it good enough to get it pinned somewhere one day.
