I've been looking all over the Internet for that information, but cannot find it. I have heard that it was 220,000$/year but that is way too high, especially for the average income.

Anybody knows what is the average income per year for escorts, especially for male escorts.

thank

Steve

I would think an average is almost meaningless as there are probably many more "part-timers" in the business than full-timers. Guys who dance one or two nights a month while they keep a day job for the medical insurance, etc. Then there are specialty niches that command premiums, etc.

I think a lot of the long-time guys in big cities seem likely to be doing reasonably well, unless they are all in rent-controlled apartments passed down from their great-grandparents.

love numbers

first let's agree that very few gay male can afford to spend $300 an hour... for anything. so I believe that the number of gay male clients in the United States is quite low.

There were 5 millions gay males in the US in 2017, with average annual income of 59k. Could not find any data on the numbers who make more 100k a year, which are the only one able to pay $300 an hour.

There are over 25,000 male escorts in the United States If their average annual income is 215 k, that means 710 clients each per year, and we end up with wopping 17 million clients. Of course some of the clients will hire more than once but still in that number is way too high

Problem is that no escort will admit to that they charge much less in real life, and have fewer clients then what they claim. No male escort want to advertise that he can hardly make one client week, or that he will accept a hundred bucks an hour. So the actual average annual income of male escorts is unknown, but my guess is no more than 15K.

anyhow fascinating stuff

I'm already into my 70's and have been hiring for a good 25 yrs. The fellas I deal with are full timers or close to it. They travel frequently and have regular clients that they see

all the time. They tour many different cities and are booked up and they accompany some of their regulars on vacations. They must be good for $75o-&1000 daily and if they

work 200-250 days yearly, or more, they must be doing quite well. Not sure how many guys fall into this category but there may be more out there than we think.

I am friends with a very well known escort/provider. He also has a fulltime job in order to live in NYC...He doubts very much that most fulltime sex workers have any sort of savings or property ownership. I have no idea how anyone other than a privileged few can make a decent income over 100k per year...

I suspect the bump comes when you leave the over job in order to solely escort. Escorting can pay extremely well, especially if you don't have conflicting professional commitments. I would think that many working guys (and I suspect even more working gals, but that is more speculative on my part) have some decent amount of savings, and a not insignificant number own property. 100k a year is only ~8k a month, which I think a lot of sole-support providers would easily clear. That may not be the median, but it's also not merely the top 10%. I suspect that escorting is a more evenly distributed pie as opposed to entertainment where my impression is that the top 1% makes almost all the proceeds.

Maybe the distinction comes from those who are doing it as a last resort versus those who do it as a dominant option. For that latter group, it would have to pay at least somewhat comparatively to the next best option, or else they wouldn't be doing it.

all all good arguments and good stories which proves that no one really knows. I wish World of Wonder would do another 101 rent boys, a follow-up 25 years later.

yet the money still strange strange to me. you have to be quite intelligent to bleach over $200,000 every year. so kudos to all the escorts who do.

I’d bet there are less than 100 escorts in the US who gross $100K+ annually.

Let’s say even 300. That’d be my guess. That would exclude the “kept” boys cohort. I knew one in LA who made close to $200k one year while still a student at a prestigious university.

Am I alone in finding this whole conversation distasteful? Given the range of escorts and how much of their time they devote to this activity 'averages' are pretty meaningless. Why do those of us who are not escorts even care? This conversation tends towards disparagement of escorts and assuming that they do not declare their income to the relevant authorities. Assumptions about hourly rates, and how often they see clients are not useful. Guys see different numbers of clients, for different length appointments, some have other business pursuits. I would suggest, that as clients we judge escorts on the experience they deliver and don't even think about their business model.

I remember a thread several years ago (can't find it now) where posters were desperately trying to figure out Zeb Atlas's annual take-home......detailed calculations involving number of hours in a day, days in a week, and weeks in a year ensued!......estimates ran up to $700,000/yr or more, I think!

Zeb finally came on to say we all were making him laugh a bit

This question needs to be narrowed down (a lot) to get a meaningful answer. If you are, let's say, a school guidance councilor advising a high school senior who is considering going into the escorting business, it might be meaningful to tell him the average annual income of an escort who has at least x client appointments per year and is working in a specific city. That might help your student decide whether he wants to be an escort or an accountant. Otherwise, an annual average is meaningless.

It doesn't take privilege: It takes common sense and the discipline to invest.

His doubts are his own. Many escorts own multiple homes, have a healthy nest egg and continue to work steadily. It's not rocket science, but it does take some foresight.

A) What does the average escort charge for the average session?

B) What is the average number of sessions the average escort has in the average year?

AxB=average annual income

;)

lots of assumptions there, Bucky!.....but I like how you think!......I assume most of us would like to think the providers we hire are anything but average!

I only know the hottest massuers and DC. There it's $200 average in-call per client with 4 to 5 a day average. (2 or 3 weekdays, 5 to 7 weekends). That's a doable schedule with just incalls. So $1000/day. But everyone takes breaks and even vacations.

The top porn star escorts I know realistically get $350 per hour incall with about the same number. Above-average ones get $250 with maybe the same number. So very top famous guys do $1600 to $2100 average/day. They're pros.

The traveling scammers with fake photos, etc still make $250 with 3 or 4 per day.

I’m sure most guys see 3 or 4 guys when they travel but I doubt happens locally.

I will keep the estimate to one or two guys per day = 12 k per month
