Geriatric Otter: The world is bigger than this forum, in case you didn’t know. I had about 30 clients on my last tour, not one of them mentioned the forum. That said, there have already been several people from the forum who’ve I’ve met and paid for my time. How many have you had do the same? I wouldn’t want to meet you considering you have to use critical insults in order to fuel a dislike towards my character that you have never met. Ask anybody who attended Palm Springs 2019 if they had a problem with me, and maybe you won’t have to resort to such underhanded attacks. Listen: agree or disagree but I won’t be insulted here. If anything I’ll keep harping on the same thing until atleast 1 agrees with me. I’m not here to please the masses. I’m already well aware that some posters here prefer to keep the forum as White as possible, almost like a storm front for gay men who hire. You not going to run me away thru intimidation or fear. The only ones who can make me leave are moderators. And if at any point they decide to do so, only then will I accept it and move one. If you can’t say anything nice or uplifting to me, then you need to practice what you preach.

I answered that question already. I’m also not going to make this a thread about screening calls because all it’s doing is avoiding the original issue all together. I have no trouble screening calls, and @OliverSaks shouldn’t be trying to insinuate that it’s the reason people skip common sense.

Ok now you’re talking out of your behind. Show me where I posted that I loved the Bible Belt. If you’re going to quote something I say, you better have something to back it up. Because I’ve already shown receipts. And you sound ridiculous. Twitter thots? Are you even in the business? There’s plenty of people on Twitter who use it for marketing and other uses that actually bring real life clients. If you don’t know that, then you are at a loss. Plus, he is texting who writes out full sentences while texting unless your like 70s+. That right there goes to prove what I was saying. You don’t even know how to spell or write a sentence either. And only people in their 70s write out full sentences? No. I’ve had 24 year olds write out complete sentences. I’m not asking for a long drawn out form mail, just something simple and basic that takes the guess work out of figuring out who someone is (not that I can’t figure it out on my own, but I want them to have the courtesy of volunteering it). You can literally do it in 160 characters or less. People have been doing it for years, and I’ve been meeting plenty of people who have been doing it for years. The fact I’ve had several people reaching out who haven’t ended up meeting in person is not an indication of not screening my calls. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, people are going to contact people regardless whether you screen or not. They do it grindr, they did it on Craigslist, and they do it now with escort ads. That’s nothing to do with me. I answer all of my own texts and calls, they don’t go to anyone but me. What my assistant does, is not something I need to broadcast. But regardless, I’m definitely not going to have Oliver Saks screening all my calls. I don’t even know him, why would I pass my client contacts to him? You and him both need have several seats and stop trying to be so damn condescending and judgmental.

I know you’re a legend for sure so I take your word! But, I’ve gone ahead and made it clear that I won’t be answering any 1 word Neanderthal language any further. It’s almost 2020, not 2020 B.C. Lol. People can fucking speak. If they can make $75, 100, 150,000 a year and have extra money to pay escorts, they’re smart enough to write a full sentence, and address me like a hot waiter in an upscale restaurant, and not some guy walking around in a towel at a bathhouse, in my opinion. I “complain” (if people want to call it that, but I consider it more of informational concerns) because I’m asking for changes. Probably won’t do much good here, but I believe speaking to the universe pays off. I don’t really care to chat too much to my real life friends about things, because only solution they can offer is solutions they would do themselves. Which generally don’t always align to my circumstances. That said, I know I am doing a lot of “complaining” (again, we’re just going to call it that), but it’s been a rough year for me! Every since I moved to the Midwest area last December, I see people out here are mostly all talk and no walk, and it irritates me. The clients, the fuck buddies, random meetings with guys here and there. Over the past 14 days, I’ve answered about 20 appointment requests between texts and emails on the 3 sites I advertise on. Not a single one turned out to be serious. Either a cancel, or a no responder, or someone being childish. It gets to a point where you start to lose yourself, and lose touch with reality. I ask myself why do I even waste my time having “available now” or even looking at my phone in these circumstances. Fortunately I finally have someone booked in tomorrow, and I made sure I got a deposit because the others never come thru. That’s why next month I’m planning to leave and make my way to San Francisco and Seattle. Get away from all the repressed gay Bible Belt mentality, and hopefully clear my mind and open my horizons to new things. That said, I still won’t be wasting no more of my time answering messages that don’t follow directions. That’s pretty much going to be standard everywhere going forward.

Thanks, but no thanks. I already have an assistant who screens my calls. But If you want to see the world “thru my eyes”, I post a lot of follies on my social media. Usually after every tour, I’ll go thru and post a whole list of people who send stuff like: Sup. On July 9, 2017 Sup. On September 16, 2017 Sup. On September 11, 2019 Then there’s the ones with slightly higher intelligence: 1. Where in Detroit are you? What's your donation? 2. Hey guy saw ad online. Milwaukee here. You available? 3. Hey man (inserts name) here (his age) in chicago. I'm looking to get fucked raw. How's it going? 4. August 24, 8:39 pm: will you slide your cock onto my hole? i can do the morning August 25, 7:34 am: i am not able to meet with you today. i never committed to any appointment. but thanks for trying to rob me So yeah...that’s all real life stuff (all anonymous, so nobody get abashed). Otherwise YES, it is my job to reply to ACTUAL APPOINTMENTS. It’s NOT my job to sit around on my phone like a fucking vegetable texting MOFOS round the clock who aren’t fucking booking shit! Lol. I’ve at times put in my ad, I AM NOT A CALL CENTER. I’m not here or have the manpower to answer 50 million messages that are irrelevant and say nothing about them or who they’re contacting. Most of those types never end up going thru with an appointment anyway (non of the above ever did either, one in Milwaukee was a habitual timewaster. He couldn’t remember I gave him a piece of my mind back in July after he stood me up and called the hotel I was planning to stay “a dump”). Not like he was going to contribute for a night at the Westin downtown anyway. I think you should be more understanding, and more inquisitive. You don’t know what someone may be going thru, until they tell you. You say you want to work/travel with another escort, but you just come off so non-understanding of another’s plights. Maybe that’s not what you’re trying to do, but it does. It’s like the whole Ed Buck scandal going on. He wasn’t doing that to white guys, it was mostly only with Black guys. I think you’re in denial of the fact that “we” do likely get more disrespectful/discourteous treatment from the general John community, and that’s why I don’t take any shit from nobody.
  6. I don’t think this was an escort/Uber issue per say, sounds more like this dude was simply tweaked out... No, no, no, no, no! I can’t concur with you on that. Flaky clients are NOT a cost of doing business. They’re a LIABILITY of doing business. Costs of doing business is hotels, RentMen/Massage ads, make up, gym memberships, clothes, cologne, underwear, leather gear, condoms, lube, STD testing, supplements, haircuts, transportation, rent, phone bills... Flaky clients are a liability and have to be dealt with accordingly. That’s not an excuse for people to show their ass, and not an excuse for people to defend the actions of such clients. When you say that’s the cost of business, you say it as if there should be not compensation. Kind of like a grocery store saying, “no worries, that ACCIDENTAL broken bottle of Prego is a cost of doing business”. But, you try to shoplift that bottle of Prego, your fucking ass going to jail! AND...paying restitution, fines, court fees, and get a hit on your record.
  7. See...it’s situations like that which cause hotels to use key cards and extra security towards un-registered guests. People abusing guest/visitor privileges. It’s been years since that’s happened, but it makes you want to burn the whole hotel down (of course that would be felonious arson, and life in prison for the ?? man lol). So I’d leave as well. That’s why when a client earlier this week was trying to send me on a hotel outcall based solely on a RentMen email exchange, I kept telling him I don’t have enough info to go. He gives me his phone number to the hotel, and his last name, but still no room number. I’m like dude, that’s STILL not enough info. I need to be able to call the hotel, and get thru to your room with first, last name, room number. Why the heck he couldn’t give me his regular phone number was beyond me. He wouldn’t even call me from the room. He had me calling the hotel 3 times to reach his room. By the time I reached him, two hours had passed and he tells me it’s too late. Yeah it was too late because he dragged the confirmation out. Fortunately I didn’t even bother going, but I did spend time getting ready. Just another reminder why I don’t set up any appointments via RentMen email, and at times I disable the feature all together. I’m glad RentMen took my report in consideration, because they sent him a warning when I reported him for attempting to send me on a fake outcall.
  8. Well that’s unfortunate, but I’m pretty sure you weren’t trying to relate that to me. Because those aren’t the type of clients who are my regulars. The ones I talk about who do such things, are generally *1 time* clients, and for those reasons. ...and don’t think those types only contact certain types. Word goes around. I usually find out those same types have messed other guys around. One guy in Indianapolis called himself getting flip with me, I reached out to my assistant who was able to see he dished out some other porn star on Twitter. Well, thanks? However, there was no publicly identifying. In fact, I didn’t even mention anything about what our interaction involved. I just kept things very obscure, all I needed was the message.
  9. So my skin is thin for putting someone on blast for calling me out of my name (fuck you loser was 1 of the choice words he used). But yet a client can use “much foul language”, and nobody says anything? For all we know, he could have called him a stupid s**c wh*re, go kill yourself. I’ve been the recipient of client’s abusive language, and I’m THE LAST BITCH that will tolerate that. People get 1 TIME to come at me wrong, and it’s OVER. See, this is the problem I have. Too many providers have no backbone, and are sitting around letting clients say and do whatever they want to do. Can you guess who of all people tend to cause me the most frustration, aggravations, and annoyances? Is it Trump? No. Is it FOSTA? No. Is it Congress? No. Is it other escorts? No. Is it lawmakers? No. Is it unsupportive friends? No. It’s OTHER CLIENTS (not all, but the ones who don’t have manners and courtesy). The same people who are coming to us to help them have a good time, to support our business, to be taken care of...ARE THE ONES WHO ARE HURTING US THE MOST. They dangle us a bone to make it seem like they are looking out for us, but will in a second cancel, leave us high and dry, not return messages, don’t leave anything for the inconvenience of wasting our time. NOTHING. Most clients are good people, but others only fucking care about they damn self. Yes, everyone is selfish to a degree, but when it comes down to it, it can’t always just be about you. That is why I’ve become this thin-skinned person who doesn’t take shit from people anymore. And if anyone has an issue with it, mind your business.
  10. I actually had someone on yelp send me a private message after that, thanking me for doing so, because he had her yelp account suspended when she wrote a review on him. Apparently he would get people’s yelp’s account deleted. There was also an employee of his who had recently put a similar review of him up, about how he would talk to them, but after awhile that disappeared as well. Mine is still up. Couldn’t dispute that. 9 times out 10, the same ones shit talking escorts, are likely doing it to other people as well. That’s why I already know what kind of client Trump would be lol.
  11. I received an email from my favorite bath and body works the other day, about Christmas gifts. We’re still 3 months away from December. My garden and yard is still blooming flowers and the grass is green. Can’t I just savor the moment lol. Let those people in Montana and Michigan celebrate Christmas early! Lol
  12. You’re absolutely right. It’s not safe to send harassing and belittling messages to someone. We are just men with an ad and some pictures. You wouldn’t (hopefully) go into Neiman Marcus or The Andrew Christian store and start demeaning and cursing out employees, so don’t do it to me. I’m not here for all that. If I were you, I’d stay away from me too. Trick.
  13. I don’t blame you...but I don’t think the language did much justice. I’ve gotten to where anytime someone wants to come back with some tired excuse, I just don’t even respond. They get the cancellation agreement and have a limited amount of time to settle up, or they get reported. I did not sign up to babysit a bunch of children, or to be the punching bag for electronic verbal abuse. One such client (though that title is so undeserving for him) thought he could call me all sort of names, fuck you, etc etc. I went ahead and posted that shit right on his yelp account, with his business name on the caller ID so he couldn’t deny it, and yelp wouldn’t remove it like he did with all the other people (found out he not only treats sex workers disrespectfully, but his employees as well). He picked the wrong bitch that day.
  14. I’m still curious as to what were the words that ensued here. Me - $#%&%$#

It really does... There’s some clients I meet who...no matter how un-horny I am that day, are able to get me up and keep me up. With new clients, sometimes you’re trying to “perform”, but after that...it becomes 2nd nature. Then again...I had 2 hot clients back to back couple weeks ago. Not that a client needs to be hot to get some ?, but it reminds me why I don’t need to be on apps fucking for free, when there’s hot clients willing to pay for a good time ??

I’m in the same position when I’m not on tour. I can’t host at the drop of a hat. The ones I see usually schedule earlier in the day or the next day. All the ones who can’t seem to coordinate a time and act like it’s grindr, are usually on Grindr and that’s why they’re mentality is so fucked up. Most of those don’t end up becoming regulars because after the 1st or 2nd time, I end up telling them where to go ?? . At the same time I wonder if I were to get back to having a steady incall location in the city, if things would be easier. I understand in this business, sometimes you just have to be available, close by and ready. My current situation is not very conducive to that. But there’s other cities where I’ve been centrally located, and it doesn’t make any difference. And in the area I’m in now, I’ve already wasted 2 out of 3 nights in hotels in the past week, expecting someone to show up..and got nothing. Just wasted my damn money. Fortunately I had other friends show up. But thats why I don’t host clients if I need to get a hotel without a deposit.

Good point...but I’m on the same page and have already implemented that. The last person was saying he was “so nervous”. Okay, that’s fine but being nervous isn’t an excuse to not follow directions, not provide any way to reach them, and drag out my confirmation process out for two hours. I actually had met a client who was doing the same last weekend: he was staying at an airport Mariott...but two hours went by and I still didn’t have the necessary info to come. And I’m just waiting at a bar I didn’t want to really be at, having more and more drinks. At one point I was almost there and called him. No response. Eventually we met and everything turned out well (actually turned into an overnight) but while we were together I guess he noticed my text saying that I was going to report his info to my client warning page for sending me on a fake outcall. He wasn’t offended, but we did have a little talk about how these things do happen.

Well once again, I find myself asking the same question...at what point. I’m just kinda getting fed up. It seems like I get a quick break from the bullshit for a couple of weeks, met some financial goals I needed, and then it’s back to the drawing board. I’m just getting tired of feeling like I have to chase clients down, send up follow up messages all the time, and not getting enough bookings in. They hit me up for an appointment, then don’t have the fucking decency to respond back, leave me hanging in the loop (not racial puns intended)....basically just wasting hours and days with meaningless conversations with these people. I spent all summer discussing arranging plans with one of my semi-regulars I’ve known for years, only for him to lay out some (plausible, yet late) excuse about having financial/family obligations. That’s understandable, but why waste my time all this time...and he’s not even available, for the next few months. This is exactly why I had started to implement deposit at the door strategies. I think I’m just going to have to get to a point where people are just going to have to pay a deposit before they can even speak or book with me. I just get tired of wasting so much time arranging sessions and thinking I may have an appointment, with nothing to show by the end of the day. And now I’m already at day 7 with no clients in a week...I THOUGHT I had atleast 1 or 2, all cancels (called into work/wife not going to her meetings, etc.) And the ones who reached out when I was out of town and followed up when I came back, no where to be found. Won’t answer messages or anything. It’s exactly why I’ve been in steady travel mode for the past 12 months. It’s not worth being stuck being miserable in one city, when I know I can go somewhere else and not have to deal with this shit. So when people want to act stupid, like they did in Detroit and Milwaukee last month, I can just pack my shit up and get the fuck out. Go somewhere else and do better for myself.
  19. Well if it makes a difference, I understand nowadays most people use VOIP for privacy and not for anything sinister. However I did have a person the other day attempt to schedule an appointment, and kept chatting via email and would only give me the hotel phone number, with no room number. He wasn’t dangerous, but ended up being a royal pain in the ass. Took two hours to send me the proper room number and name (which every hotel requires before they’ll transfer someone to a room, as if he didn’t know that), in what could have been a 5 second text. Of course, no meeting occurred. So sometimes it’s not about safety, but more of...how does this Mofo plan to waste my time by concealing his number? And most EVERY VoIP user I’ve come across has eventually bullshitted their way into my schedule. I have had exceptions here and there, but less often than not.
  20. ...that’s standard practice in the stores you and I likely visit everyday. Nothing unsafe about it. http://www.markinblog.com/wp-content/uploads/Sense-of-Urgency.jpg
  21. In that case, next time someone tries to ask me for a discount, of any amount...I might as well decline and assume they are too desperate for some dick to see them ?? I learn from the best! ? But on a serious note, I didn’t like how one of my (non escort) friends made a statement of how one of my clients was “sad” for hiring someone while he wearing an ankle bracelet. As if, somehow paying for some dick is desperate, and desperate is “bad” (and let’s be real CLIENTS, the vast majority of NON CLIENTS in this world assume you ALL are desperate because you’re paying for “stuff” to begin with, so let’s not play the desperation card). I told him I don’t give a fuck, he had my money laid out...whatever he’s dealing with isn’t my business or concern. I went there for 2 things: sex and money. But not both together since that’s considered the P word. That’s the problem with people’s ideas surrounding sex work. People assume people are desperate. So the fuck what? Clients are desperate, escorts are desperate. We’re all desperate to a degree. The only reason it’s being judged, is based on whether or not someone displays it. And even then, who cares? When a client texts me asking to meet in 10 minutes, that’s not desperate. But when I email/text a client 3-4 times in a row trying to get some information I need to attend the appointment, I come off as desperate? Hold up..
  22. Lol, funny you say. I used to call Los Angeles, LOSS Angeles because if you went there expecting big money, you’d be at a loss lol. But nowadays, I don’t really dislike it one way or another. Truth is, there’s tons of clients coming in and out of LA. Lots of money going around. No secret there. The problem is the supply and demand is so exorbitant, one just can’t go there haphazardly expecting desired results. I think majority reason a lot of guys are advertising there, is because it’s also the Mecca for gay porn and porn in general. One of my clients left me with a giant box of porn when he passed, and on just about every credit, it’s LA, Hollywood, Santa Barbara or West Hollywood in the title. So unless somebody doing all of that, it might not be in one’s best interest. Or plan way ahead of going there.
  23. I’m not sure I see what the argument here is about. Everything you’re saying, is basically just saying what @Aaron_Bauder said, but with “exceptions”. Your example is with someone you previously met, who was content with the lesser offer for different reasons than the point Aaron was making. In my opinion, shaving off $100 is not just about the interaction, but clients can also use it to low ball us. “Well my regular so and so charges XXX”. Well, I’m not trying to compete with someone’s regular so and so on a race to the best price. I don’t have to encounter that much on the Rent sites, but adam4adam is notorious for that. And everytime I tell them no. There’s no reason to do all that I do for an appointment, oftentimes requiring booking accommodations, and barely getting a profit...which could be gone by the end of the day if nobody else shows up, which in some cities, is the regular.
  24. That’s why in Palm Springs, I had showed you how I go about doing rates now. Since then, I’ve found much less needing to negotiate. It’s like a car wash: You have basic, the works, and then premium. I just wish RentMen and all others would allow more creativity in our rate structures. But I’m not going to wait for them to do it, at some point in life one just has to mann their own ship.
