I love music and I often like music playing during the more intimate times of my life - especially albums that you can play straight through and they take you on a journey. I'm curious about what other folks on this site like to play when they're playing.

Lately I've really been digging "Since I Left You" from the Avalanches - there's something about it that's super sexy to me. I've also always been a fan of The Future Sound of London, and any of their Environments or Archives releases are great, mostly instrumental albums for sexy times. "Holy Fire" from Foals is also another great choice, IMO.

What do you like to play?!

I find this subject somewhat amusing. If I had my druthers, I'd play opera, such as Wagner's Tristan or Puccini's Manon Lescaut - something gooey and romantic. But since not every guy I've met has any interest in operatic singing, I try to find out his musical preferences if I see a guy a second time (or more!)

For example, one of the best Dallas escorts I see regularly likes country music, so I find a Music Choice classic country, or young country stream. Another guy really enjoys watching gay porn if I go to his place...yeah that's not a type of music, but since he plays it through his surround sound movie set-up, it sort of is. The truth is, I don't really pay much attention to music while having a fantastic BFE, so if I know their tastes, I am happy to have their preference playing for them in the background!

I'm not verbal during sex (I can't speak during, I have to completely stop so my thinking can organize enough to articulate) so anything with lyrics in a language I can understand is not optimal.

My personal favorite is Peter Gabriel's Passion

It's such a standard for me, one bf would put it on as a signal he was ready to get some.

That said, I can have strong opinions, I was recently entertained with some music that couldn't seem to decide if it was new age or jazz, like Kenny G type jazz, and for some insight to my thoughts on that, I'll just leave this here:

The Best Album of All Time is "Abbey Road" or "Let It Bleed". So, if you want me to open my ass and throat to you, play the Beatles or the Stones and I will surrender. "And in the end, the live you take, is equal to the love you make". "We all need someone we can cream on. So if you want, you can cream all over me!

I can't wait to experience your expertise!

For a romantic encounter I prefer Light Classical or Smooth Jazz.

For more intense encounters I like 80's Rock as background - Because - Verbal is good!

One time an escort had mellow electronic music in the background and all of a sudden Nine Inch Nails started to play. Neither of us wanted to stop what we were doing, so it continued playing until our date was over. It wasn't intentional - iTunes screwed up somehow. Have to say, it was a very fun and romantic session.

That said, my preference usually turns to the "chill" station on iTunes, electronic riffs on Gershwin and Cole Porter (I highly recommend those compilations BTW), or the "Afterdark" series of electronic/lounge music.

I like almost any type of jazz (NOT Kenny G), with a preference for instrumentals with a sexy sax while making whoppee. But I'm open to a wide variety of music and would go with whatever my partner selected. If I found it to be distracting I would let him know.

My wife grew up listening to classical music, I didn't. So she introduced me to it and I learned a lot. One time before we were married, she put on an orchestral version of Wagner's Prelude and Liebestod from Tristan just as we began to make love. I had never heard it before and the sex was unbelievable. Long build up, rising tension, glorious climax, gentle resolution- I told her it was a musical orgasm. I still think of it that way.

I started playing Native American flute music during my massage sessions and found that it works equally as well in erotic sessions, helping us to connect with our bodies and get out of our heads.

I have such a hard time listening to it because of the breathing. I have a sensory processing difficulty that makes it hard for me to isolate sounds and when I hear the breathing, it slowly becomes all I can hear and then I start envisioning lungs and people on respirators and ... well, it just ends up not being sexy.

Abbey Road is brilliant, particularly the run from "You Never Give Me Your Money" through the end of the album. I do wish they had stopped at "The End," and put "Her Majesty" somewhere else on the album.

And, like @rvwnsd, I like to put on a mix of chill tunes. I use Spotify and have a Duck Tails channel that is AMAZING for chilling out and for screwing around - lots of Twin Shadow, Wild Nothing, Craft Spells, and so on - lots of reverb, phasing, and delay seems to be a good formula for music for getting busy.

There is a station on pandora called "chill out" and it makes for some really intense passionate sex. Blackmill is a great option too I love everything by them.

Oh jeeze I hope it was Closer( Fuck you like an Animal) that came on. :D

I don't think I heard any complaints about my music. ;) That being said I think a well thought out playlist can trump most albums played straight through. Granted yes, some artists are able to take you on a journey - sometimes it's not always the right journey for the moment, haha. @Eric Hassan if you want a Spotify account just let me know, I have some extras from doing the family pack. I'd be interested to hear the playlist's you'd put together.

An album that I really enjoy..Lonely Are The Brave my Maverick Sabre.
