Vulgarii Posted yesterday at 08:25 AM Posted yesterday at 08:25 AM I've been getting requests and getting into arguments with prospective clients that ask to just "walk in." They don't want to set an appointment beforehand or even message, they want to just walk in at anytime, as if I'm operating a walk-in spa with a lobby for them to wait in, and I'm supposed to be ready at anytime, or perhaps they expect some @$$ up face down type of thing, or if I'm with a client, they expect to just "walk in" and watch. I can't get over this. Do people actually work like that? + Just Sayin 1
+ FrankR Posted yesterday at 10:08 AM Posted yesterday at 10:08 AM No, I have not heard of this. Tell them it is available on your Premium Concierge Plan with a $5,000 a month subscription. (Like Concierge Medicine Plans). Then watch them self destruct. 🤯 Wanderoz, DMonDude, pubic_assistance and 4 others 3 4
DMonDude Posted yesterday at 03:08 PM Posted yesterday at 03:08 PM (edited) I've never heard of anyone doing that either. Just seems near impossible from a practicality perspective for the reasons you listed. I do know on Sniffies there is kind of that scene of "leave the door unlocked and i just show up and you're face down ass up for me" like you said. But that just seems impossible to do in a provider/client scenario without booking a specific time. FrankR is joking, but they're also kinda right 😆. At the very very least, if you want to at least try to indulge them in this, I'd say the best you could do is maybe have them book a window of time like a minimum 4 hour window where you will be ready and waiting and they show up at any time they want within that 4 hour window. If they want the possibility of, within that time window, walking in on you with another guy and joining in, it should be another provider (that the client also is paying) that is agreed on ahead of time or they give you permission to pick the collaborator (having another client agree to possibly be walked in on ahead of time seems egregiously impractical to set up ahead of time). You would need to charge accordingly for this. Either your normal rate x however many hours you agree to be available for or maybe a slightly reduced overnight rate or whatever you think is fair. Something like this should require a deposit too because of the work/time burden this would place on you if you decided to engage. Would be a major time and money loss if you waited and they no showed or something. Edited yesterday at 03:08 PM by DMonDude
+ Jamie21 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Closest I get to that is guys that ask if I’m available ‘now or in next couple of hours’ to which the answer is always ‘no’. There’s one guy who has asked this question 15 times…he asks every few weeks. Every time I say ‘no, best to book in advance’ and every time he says ‘ok thanks’, but never books in advance. I think he is just one of those guys who gets horny and wants to get off and tbh that’s not really my kind of client. I don’t know anyone who works on an ‘available right now, no booking needed’ basis. I’ve done same day bookings but always need at least a couple of hours notice. + Vegas_Millennial and SecretProvider 1 1
SecretProvider Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago (edited) I agree with @Jamie21 clients who are looking for 'right now' generally are best to be avoided. Same day appointments are fine, but we do need minmum 1hr notice 10 hours ago, Vulgarii said: getting into arguments Why getting into arguments? These guys say no to giving me a heads up, they keep asking to just drop by and walk in. Maybe they're that closeted and paranoid that they are afraid thay they'll be set up and outted beforehand? 🤷♂️
maninsoma Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It seems silly to expect a provider to literally provide drop-in service, but short notice? I understand that a lot of providers don't work that way, but at least back in the day of sites like Craigslist a lot did. I cannot count the number of times a guy would place an ad, I would respond within a few minutes of his ad showing up, he would respond within a few minutes of receiving my response, and we'd meet within an hour. I get that that is not equivalent to having an escort ad up 24/7 on a site like Rent.men because no one is going to be available all day and night every day, and a lot of the guys who put ads on Craigslist only did so sporadically and when they were actively looking for work. (Yes, there were guys who put ads up several times per day every day, but that's not the kind of guy I mean.) I'd never pressure a guy to meet earlier than was convenient for him, though, and sometimes that meant scheduling several hours in advance but a lot of providers were as eager to as soon as possible as I was.
BaronArtz Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I have never requested such thing from any provider on rentmasseur or rentmen. Even when they list as 'available now'. And not even from someone that I hired repeatedly in the past. The guys have lives and other clients to attend to. I could see how it might be possible at a walk in massage parlor but I haven't frequented any in many years. So I am not sure. Even there, there could be a bit of a wait I imagine. If you need instant gratification, there is always Grindr, Sniffies or hooking up in the steam room of your gym.
+ Just Sayin Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I think the appropriate response to a walk in is to ask "Do you want fries with that?"
