Vulgarii Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I've been getting requests and getting into arguments with prospective clients that ask to just "walk in." They don't want to set an appointment beforehand or even message, they want to just walk in at anytime, as if I'm operating a walk-in spa with a lobby for them to wait in, and I'm supposed to be ready at anytime, or perhaps they expect some @$$ up face down type of thing, or if I'm with a client, they expect to just "walk in" and watch. I can't get over this. Do people actually work like that?
+ FrankR Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago No, I have not heard of this. Tell them it is available on your Premium Concierge Plan with a $5,000 a month subscription. (Like Concierge Medicine Plans). Then watch them self destruct. 🤯 pubic_assistance, DMonDude and Tactile Daddy 3
DMonDude Posted 46 minutes ago Posted 46 minutes ago (edited) I've never heard of anyone doing that either. Just seems near impossible from a practicality perspective for the reasons you listed. I do know on Sniffies there is kind of that scene of "leave the door unlocked and i just show up and you're face down ass up for me" like you said. But that just seems impossible to do in a provider/client scenario without booking a specific time. FrankR is joking, but they're also kinda right 😆. At the very very least, if you want to at least try to indulge them in this, I'd say the best you could do is maybe have them book a window of time like a minimum 4 hour window where you will be ready and waiting and they show up at any time they want within that 4 hour window. If they want the possibility of, within that time window, walking in on you with another guy and joining in, it should be another provider (that the client also is paying) that is agreed on ahead of time or they give you permission to pick the collaborator (having another client agree to possibly be walked in on ahead of time seems egregiously impractical to set up ahead of time). You would need to charge accordingly for this. Either your normal rate x however many hours you agree to be available for or maybe a slightly reduced overnight rate or whatever you think is fair. Something like this should require a deposit too because of the work/time burden this would place on you if you decided to engage. Would be a major time and money loss if you waited and they no showed or something. Edited 45 minutes ago by DMonDude
