Since Playgirl came on the market, MANY gay men have posed nude for them throughout the decades. It seems there are far more gay men willing to pose nude than straight men. They are published under a different name and most straights wouldn't know a gay porn star if they came across one. Nothing new.

Yes. Playgirl was actually aimed at women, not gay men. Basically the female counterpart to Playboy. It just ended up with a big gay male readership because there weren’t many mainstream outlets featuring male nudity. While not labeled, many men who posed were gay (or later identified as gay).

I think the incentive used to be exposure and money, especially back in the day when there were fewer avenues for visibility. Today, though, I’m not sure there’s much clout or payoff unless someone is already leaning into that kind of branding. Plus now we have the internet so print means nothing. There’s also still a cultural difference. Male nudity has and will likely always read more aggressively or sexually than female nudity, so the upside for straight men isn’t always obvious.

I didn't realize they resumed the print edition in 2020. I hear former archived issues are more valuable than anything they have today.

This is a bit off-topic and I am learning about him for the first time here.  Other than a big tool and a sculpted.body, his face is ordinary and to my eyes unattractive.  Perhaps in an interview and less produced surroundings he comes across differently.

I thought he looked sexy as hell, and I was certainly glad I had the chance to see it all. However, the photos were taken without his permission, and that has to be an awful feeling. I imagine for him it feels like a personal violation.

I know that some people never found Cade Maddox's face particularly attractive, but I used to think he was hot.  I'm not sure what he's been doing the past year or two, though, but his face has changed in a way that makes me wonder whether he's had "work done" or is using fillers.

You forgot about his ass.... he was 3 out of 4, even if some don't like his face, he's hotter than most of us at his age.

I’ve seen the changes on his face.  I booked him several times when he was just starting, initially when he was still with Jason Sparks and then on his own.  That was when his rate was $165.  He looked a lot better in those days.

Depending on one's preferences, a younger man is always going to "look better."  I'd say that's true for me when speaking about, say, a man in his 60s versus his 20s or 30s; I'm going to prefer the younger version of him.  What's going on with Cade, though, doesn't seem to be just getting a bit less attractive due to age.  He just looks a bit odd in a way that I don't think getting older explains.

I used to think he was very attractive when I saw his ad on RM.  Then I saw the Matt Cullen video on the GayVN Awards. I didn't even recognize him. 
 

Robert Pattinson has changed a lot too. I didn't even recognize him at first. He face has become much more narrow.

This puts me in mind when Dylan Sprouse of the Suite Life Of Zack and Cody had a cock photo leaked by an ex-girlfriend. While it obviously wasn't comfortable for Dylan,  his identical twin Cole tweeted "now they've basically seen me naked which is weird I guess."

I don’t hold any brief for Justin Bieber and I don’t really like his music. In fact I find him boring.

But every time I see something on the Internet about a concert of his he is shown half naked, from the waist up. He seems to enjoy flaunting his body. 
 

So when he complains about a photo of him caught in the buff, I think he doeth protest too much.

Though technically he's on the cover (of a virtual magazine), they don't credit him, or show his face or dick. But that body is impressive! And I kinda liked the article too. 

As far as I can tell, Playgirl is not being published in hard copy. They made a big thing a few years ago about going back into print, but it looks like they only published one issue. Otherwise it's an online website/magazine. Maybe the print thing was just a publicity thing to get them into the news and bring in subscribers for their virtual stuff. 

I subscribe to the companion Playgirl Plus website, which has the naked guys. They have a new guy each month, plus a bunch of archived stuff going back to the beginning. I like it well enough to keep the subscription up.

People here are mixed in their views of Cade Maddox. I happen to think he is pretty hot and has an appealing personality to me. He escorts on the side and is expensive as to be expected.

I once tried to hire him when he was in Montreal a number of times of years ago but struck out. I enjoy some of his videos especially where he kisses a lot. 
 

I watched a couple of his video interviews and he comes across as sincere and articulate. He is also wonderfully gifted physically. And he seems to take care of himself.

I used to think he was very hot but he's had a lot of fillers and botox in the past 5 years, which is not appealing. He'd probably be hotter is he let himself age normally.
