So serving cake is someone feeding you their ass?

No, it doesn’t involve a sex act. “Serving cake” can just mean having a great ass. If I am walking around the neighborhood in tight shorts that make my ass look really good, I am “serving cake.“

”Serving” is drag slang. To “serve” is to present oneself in an intentional way. “Serving butch” means being intentionally masculine. “Serving fish” means being convincingly feminine. It’s really spun off into a lot of fun directions, but it’s not a sex act. It’s just presentation.

Have you read the comment I linked?  The commenter was referring to an act.

He gave up his butt, and it had anal warts or some other kind of unfortunate ailment.

I've seen more than my fair share of men on X with their spread naked cheeks showing along with a comment, "Cake is served". This to me implies that they are rim ready. Cake is for eating, hence why you aren't eating cake if you're fucking (unless you're multi-tasking, and that's a fantasy worth fulfilling).

This could have been easily googled.

Noooo! That's what this site is for. Definitions, exchange rates ... and everything. Can someone tell me what time it is?

But seriously, some questions are illuminating because others have wondered but dared not ask.

But serving cake is what happens in the tea rooms at Cartridges. One of the things.

I googled it, but with the mindset that it was an act, like the commenter described it.

If you would like to confine the definition of a phrase that is widely used, from middle schools to workplaces, to only what you have observed yourself in porn on X, have at it. You might however also consider that your narrow niche of observation is not sufficient to be weighing in here, and that you are out of touch with contemporary slang.

In your example of "middle schools and workplaces", serving cake is entirely different, and you know that. The implication of "serving cake' on a forum of being in the company of other naked men for sexual enjoyment doesn't make me narrow or out of touch.

Take this disagreement with me some more privately if you'd like - If in your presence, I'd like to share having non-food cake if your avatar is of you. 😉

AI it. Courtesy of ChatGPT.

""Serving cake" in gay slang typically refers to showing off one's butt, often in a confident, playful, or flirtatious manner. It can describe someone wearing tight or revealing clothing that highlights their rear, or posing in a way that emphasizes it. In ballroom or drag culture, it may also imply confidently presenting one's body or look, especially from behind, as part of a performance or persona.

Context matters—used humorously among friends, it signals body positivity or sex appeal; in a more serious tone, it can affirm someone's swagger or dominance in style and presence. It’s visual and performative, not sexual in action.

However, in very specific sexual banter, someone might jokingly stretch the phrase to imply rimming or being rimmed—especially if layered with innuendo—but that would be nonstandard usage and highly dependent on tone and context. In general gay slang, the phrase doesn’t include rimming.
