So this “client” gave me his address and when i knock on his door he goes…. did you get my number from a dating website because there has been someone that has been sending guys here so you’ve got pranked. Then before i leave he goes and don’t take pictures of my home. Then five minutes later he texts me “You wasted your time and money coming all the way here not me lol bye”

Haven’t had someone sent me to a fake address in years and i don’t know what could i have done. I did ask for a deposit but he said he only has cash. I literally traveled 1 hour each way in this cold snowing weather people are terrible. He sent me his face photo and mr number has no reviews of him so i thought it would be fine to travel without a deposit. Feel really down now not going to lie

I’m sorry this happened to you.
There are evil/unhappy people in this world.
Don’t let them make you one of them.
Karma is a bitch.
She will have her way with this human eventually.

Rise above!

Thank you for the kind words and response. I feel a bit better now. Someone who stops responding before you leave your place is one thing and common in this business but it's so evil to actually make someone travel all the way to you knowing you have intention to hire. I just felt a way because it hasn't happened to me in awhile and needed to vent. Sometimes I feel like Im a bit too nice haha but I will continue being optimistic. Have a good rest of your weekend :)

I've had guys on Grindr give me fake addresses before. Unfortunately there are true garbage people in this world.

Don't let the losers get you down.

Whats weird is the photo the guy sent to me kinda looked like the guy who answered the door. So maybe it was the right address but the guy who answered said it wasn't him and that someone from the website was sending guys to his place as a prank.

’m curious if this is a solution: if you are traveling to them (and both on iPhone) ask them to turn on “location sharing” for the duration of your travel?

BTW, what’s your Rentmen handle?

My rentmen is below. His texts were green so I don't think he has an iPhone. Im also kinda not tech savvy tho :p

That he texted you after your appearance at that house, knowing you had already started your return trip, and that he was concerned about you photographing the house (that’s weird) would seem to indicate that the guy at the house was the “prankster.”

He also was sending me nudes which didn't look like him at all while I was trying to find his place so I don't think he was serious. It was rainy/snowing and dark so it was hard to read the house numbers lol I don't think there's anything I could have done or said to make him change his mind.

That’s disappointing to hear. So many of us are resistant to leaving a deposit, and then  reading this, it makes me want to leave a deposit to give my provider peace of mind. I hope you don’t get any more flakes. And I hope the jerk who pulled this on you doesn’t do it to anyone else.

You should post the phone number on “Mr. Number” and share a warning.

i should have trusted my gut. I should have not gone when he said he didn’t have cashapp or venmo to pay a 20 dollar deposit for my travel fee especially in this terrible weather today. I may lose business but i think im going to have to ask for a small deposit anytime i travel to someone now or at least if they live far unfortunately. Thank you for taking the time to listen i appreciate it :)

Sounds like a very passive-aggressive jerk.

he was very rude in that brief encounter at his door. I just wanted to leave so quickly i felt so uncomfortable like I did something wrong but i was just being played with my time.

I did leave a review there as soon as I left. I don’t want any other provider to waste almost 2 hours and 30 minutes in total traveling like i did. He didn’t have any reviews so I thought it was safe to go but he probably just started playing these games recently.

I'm glad you're back, you're still the nice guy you were back then. I'm sure I'm not the only one who remembers you for that!

Something similar happened to me one time too. Worse thing was that it was a duo so I’d arranged for another escort for the client. We both turned up at the address (both after travelling an hour each) and suddenly the client goes quiet on text. I called him: no answer. So we hung around for a few minutes just in case and then left and had lunch together (the other guy was a good friend, and understanding fortunately!).

That’s the thing. I had a gut feeling about the ‘client’ I mentioned above. The more experienced you are doing this work the better your gut instincts are. I was swayed by the money and the prospect of working with my friend  (the client wanted to watch us for part of the session) but my instincts told me he’d likely be a flake.

That guy sound quite pathetic. I've seen many people behaving like that in other ways. Just another petty loser. Really, how empty your life has to be to incur in that to feel something?

He should be exposed, his name and info should be made available to other prospective targets of his petty nonsense. I do like the idea of having the client pay for the transportation to the place. Not only it will cost him, but his information will be documented.

Sorry you had to deal with that bullshit.

Ugly just breeds more ugly.  While I don't condone what the client did, take two minutes and breath deep before you go all ugly on anyone.  My recommendation is just block him, leave a poor review, and move on.

It would take more than two hands to document the number of providers who over the years have led me on a wild goose chase or tried to shake me down in one way shape or form.  Let me list a few.....

1.  Meeting up and asking for cash up front and MORE than was agreed upon...then demanding a "Cancellation Fee" when I did not agree to the higher amount.

2.  Driving to their hotel and waiting in the parking lot or lobby for them to never give me a room number or meet up or even reply again.

3.  Knocking on their door and them making noise and then never answering it or better (and I loved this one) shouting "you have the wrong place" through the door.

4.  Giving a provider directions to where I am and getting updates that say "I am 5 minutes away" and then complete silence.

5.  After the encounter, wanting me to pay for their "shower time" when I offered them to rinse off before they left. (I now will rarely offer anyone to 'rinse off' and if they ask, I make it clear it is on their own nickel).

For each and every one of these I blocked them on Rent.Men if that is where I met them. Blocked them on my phone.  If their name comes up in any conversation I will be honest but try not to be ugly about it.   The irony of all of this is that some of the above were done by providers that are well reviewed on this site and / or are frequent contributors on this site.

However, the fun experiences far outnumber the bad...so I continue on my journey of sampling provider talents.

My Two Cents.

I know ugly breeds ugly, but if a "prankster" doea something like this, he can't complain if he gets punched.

Snapchat location - I've used it to verify Grindr hookups. However I figure many escorts would feel insulted or stalked if I used that with them.

First a "punch"...then a "broken limb"....then maybe a "Knife"...then a "Gun".  Where is the line drawn?

"Hit" them where it hurts....their pocketbook.  Leave a bad review.
