This actor looks hung!  Hopefully the criminal of this thread is hung as well. 🪢

(Or injected, or gas chamber, etc.)

Don't worry - the mass murderer here was already gunned down last December.

Since NY dropped the capital charges, it will be near impossible for the Feds to get a capital "terrorism" conviction.

I estimate he'll get 10 to 20 years and will be out early. He'll spend those years replying to fan mail, and after America finally adopts decent comprehensive health care, he'll probably write a book and appear on talk shows after his release.

I personally think he's a nepo baby brat who was trying to make a name for himself, and he had no prerogative to commit that crime (if UHC killed a loved one or hurt him, he would have a prerogative). But that's how the system works, and history is written by people of certain political persuasions.

Such a short amount of time for a premeditated murder? I doubt it!

His fans would eventually move on while people will continue to be denied healthcare because of preexisting conditions, etc.

I have a feeling some in this forum will celebrate his execution... again, his fans will move on.

NY only has a second degree murder charge left against him. That might get him 15 years.

NY State also has 8 weapons and forgery counts against Mangione, although granted, those charges are far less serious.  While 2nd degree homicide normally gets a sentence of 15-25 years, the maximum is life without parole.  Apparently judges issue that sentence often in high-profile cases.

Luigi also faces federal charges, the most serious of which is murder through the use of a firearm, which can get the death penalty.

That's because the current Executive insisted the current Attorney General seek the death penalty in all cases, in an attempt to create a tough on crime image. That's political, and the defense attorney has entered that into the record.

After the types of "criminal charges" issued by the Attorney General during the past two months, and especially last week, it's extremely doubtful that a NYC jury will unanimously take any of them seriously. I wouldn't be surprised if they have to be dropped beforehand, or if the judge simply decides the DOJ is no longer trustworthy enough to even listen to.

He'll probably get 15 to 20 years due to mitigating factors and biases that jurors have (even if unconsciously), he'll be a "model prisoner" and get out within 10, and end up a celebrity as the American health care system starts being reformed. The brat will get what he wanted all along.

You know, there's gay men in prison too.

  • Incarceration rates:
According to one study, gay and bisexual men in prison and jail populations make up about 3.3% to 5.5% of incarcerated men, which is similar to their estimated percentage in the general U.S. population. However, lesbian and bisexual women are significantly overrepresented in the prison and jail populations.

Latest:  court wrangling over allegedly improperly obtained evidence:  https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/luigi-mangione-lawyers-push-exclude-140245227.html

Here’s a summary:

  • Defense attorney wants to exclude 9mm gun and handwritten diary prosecutors say link him to UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s killing.
  • His lawyers argue police illegally searched his backpack without a warrant, a potential violation that could exclude critical evidence of motive and guilt.
  • The suppression hearings begin as the Dec.r 4 killing’s first anniversary approaches; Mangione faces life imprisonment or federal death penalty charges.

Anyone recall Robert Chambers?  Good looking rich young white murderer? 1980'2 version of Luigi, oung man with a throng of fans drooling over him and his explanation of murder in the heat of passion was unintentional.  Did a 15 years for first degree manslaughter with the sobriquet the Preppy Killer.  He got out of jail and relatively shortly afterwards was caught up in a drug sting and was sentenced to 19 years.   That seems fair, kills someone get 15 years, buy and sell drugs get 19 years.  Anyway, he got out of jail in 2023 after serving 15 years for the drug charges.    Seems he never could become more than the perpetrator of the crime.

Will Luigi face the same fate.  It seems in the Kardashian inspired society in which we live, he will be able to monetize premeditated murder into a life style.  Perhaps his own reality show with regular updates from Andy Cohen.  Andy no doubt would be a great mentor for Luigi.

So there is nothing new about Luigi's crime, his popularity, his photos being splashed over media.  The main difference is likely to be the ability to really enjoy the financial  windfall that is likely to come his way, sooner or later.  I know there are laws that prevent or at least limit the profits that a perpetrator can earn off of his crime, but OJ manages and someday, Luigi will too. This with the help of the leeches that attach themselves to his well rounded buttocks and the suckle off his muscled pecs

but OJ manages

I think you meant “OJ managed” … OJ is dead.  I seem to recall OJ lived off his pension investments, which were sheltered from judgments when he moved to Florida.
