Doesn't mean anything. I myself have been with quite a few people and don't have a single review anywhere in this world (that I know of). The only difference between many and that one person is that we have a clear idea about how many people that person has been with. Doesn't mean that a person with few or no reviews hasn't been with that many or more.

It seems to be about perception and comfort, not about reality.

I like guys with good reviews (between 6-10). But the guys who have like 100+ reviews are red flags for me usually. I’m not sure I want to be with someone who’s seen THAT many people over that much time. Especially if they are older.

How do others feel about providers who have a lot of reviews?

Let's consider he also gets tested every 3 months like everyone else on PrEP. Besides maybe he has so many reviews because he's been around for years, is that bad?

I think the more reviews, the better. It sounds to me like you have some negative views about sex, which are worth exploring. I know plenty of gay men who've never once charged for sex who have a body count in the hundreds. A sex workers in the business for 20 years should have hundreds of reviews. If a provider sees 2 clients a week for a year, that's 104. Obviously some will be regulars but if they've been in business for 20 years, that's over 2,000.

It’s interesting that you’ve now posted about preferring guys with just the right amount of reviews, right after that long, convoluted thread where you emphasized being this Czech porn star’s first and only client and explained how he’s not an escort and isn’t jaded by the industry. It’s worth noting that as a porn star, it’s perfectly acceptable for him to have slept with many people, but when it comes to escorts, having multiple clients suddenly raises red flags for you? There seems to be a lot of effort here to separate your experience while imposing arbitrary standards on others.

But back to the topic of reviews, aren’t reviews, especially on platforms like RM, just a baseline? They provide merely a foundation of trust and transparency, helping people get a sense of the provider’s reputation and experience. Plus, it’s worth noting that not everyone posts reviews on RM—it’s not a fully accurate representation. It doesn’t account for regulars, aspects of their personal life, or the full spectrum of their connections. A lot can be learned through your own interactions, whether by text or, ideally, over the phone, and every experience with a provider is unique.

So, only having 6-10 reviews means they’re “safe,” but 100+ reviews means they’re somehow too experienced? Why the cut-off? Or are we trying to “slut shame” providers for doing their job? Let’s not go there. Rather than focusing on review counts, wouldn’t it make more sense to prioritize compatibility and the quality of connection? Real connection goes beyond the numbers, and reviews can simply ensure that your experience starts off on the right foot.

Why not ?

Do they get worn out if they have a lot of sex with people ?

This actually seems like reverse-logic. I would say the popular guy with lots of clients is probably the better/more experienced lay.

Even the guys with 6-10 reviews have likely been with hundreds or thousands of men in their lifetime.

I don't see how one can expect an older man to have had fewer sexual partners over his life than a young man.

It's a sign of a great provider.

I never said safe or unsafe or shamed anyone. I said my preferences. You can have a different outlook. Opinions are opinions that’s why we’re all on this forum. But don’t put words in my mouth.

So, it’s a red flag if a provider has too many reviews, but somehow it’s fine to sleep with a famous Czech porn actor who’s likely been with countless partners? You call it a preference, but your original post reads as judgment, plain and simple. Trying to spin it now doesn’t erase the double standard—you hold providers to one set of rules while making exceptions when it suits you. That’s hypocrisy!

And let’s be clear: I’m not putting words in your mouth. Your original post did all the talking. If you don’t like how it sounds, maybe you should rethink what you’re actually saying.

I can remember back in the 1980s (?) there was an article in the national straight media that the typical gay man had 325+ (?) sex partners in his life. I think this came from a quote from Cleve Jones (who went on to be featured in the movie MILK). The next morning, they were selling T-shirts on Castro Street, enblazoned with "325 AND COUNTING' or some such number. Ever since then I have worked to ensure that I far exceed this modest goal before I depart.

Right on!

I wonder how much mileage that Czech pornstar has.

A provider's number of reviews doesn't sway my opinion of him. The rating a provider gets does matter.

Here's something to think about: Not every client leaves a review. There isn't much correlation between "number of reviews" and "number of sex partners." The guy who has six to ten reviews likely has met a similar number of clients as a provider who has fifty if they have been escorting for a similar length of time.

In my experience, as men get older their lifetime number of sex partners increases. How is this a red flag?

I know how many partners he’s been with, they’ve been tested, it’s highly regulated, and I know his STD status.

The point of this thread was not to discuss my personal life. It was to gauge peoples opinion and preferences on if a lot of reviews was a turn off, or a turn on? Obviously for you a lot of reviews is a turn on, good for you!

PS my guy could be Czech or he could be Slovak. Don’t misappropriate someone’s identity.

Great, hire them. I was curious to gauge what people thought about a provider and their number of reviews.

In addition when I said “red flag” I was not talking about STD’s. It’s you who are shaming them by assuming that’s what I meant.

it’s a red flag for me because it shows they’ve been doing this a long time with many people and perhaps may be jaded. For me not only is the sex important but also the conversation and actual discussion. When you’ve had 100+ clients you can act like a robot. That’s why it’s a “red flag.” I should have made this more clear and I’m sorry you misinterpreted what I meant. You should not jump to assume I look down or am shaming anyone. Of course from my public discourse about my own situation I do not shame anyone in this industry or look down on them at all! That would be extremely hypocritical of me.

My 2 cents, IMO, experienced providers are likely better at non-sex services - they seen a lot of ppl over the years and have much to talk about. Better at navigating conversation and playing the 'service business' game.

New providers often get too much into their head and try too hard. They are eager to perform but not as smooth as veterans.

But that I mostly do multiple hours hire might play into my experiences above.

Your comments reveal a profound immaturity and a glaring double standard. By now labeling providers with numerous reviews as robots, you not only demonstrate a lack of understanding but also expose your own biases. It’s telling that you find it acceptable to sleep with a porn star, whose experience is likely far greater, yet dismiss providers based on their review count as if they’re less deserving of respect.

Your focus on my reference to nationality is a weak attempt to deflect from the hypocrisy in your stance. To assume that someone’s worth diminishes with experience is not only misguided but also reflects your inability to engage with nuance.

Having taken the painful labor of reading through your previous thread, it’s clear that you’re more invested in preserving your narrow view than in recognizing the rich complexities of the industry. This speaks volumes about your perspective and worldview. Ultimately, your refusal to confront these complexities reveals a limited understanding of human experience, prioritizing shallow judgments over the dignity of others.
