so, one of the most famous women in the world suddenly goes missing & hasn’t been seen for almost 5 months - and, the typically invasive British media seems completely uninterested for whatever reason

the official story is she was in hospital for a “planned abdominal surgery”, yet none of the usual public well-wishes by other royals on social media or visits to the hospital.  and, the children haven’t been seen either

speculation that she’s dead, in a coma or there is a pending divorce are among the rumors.
meanwhile, Camilla appears publicly with Williams rumoured mistress.  Keep in mind nothing those people do is by accident & everything has meaning

You do seem interested in the soap opera.

the “soap opera” is a very small part of the interest.

the bigger story is the entire British media being complicit w the Monarchy in suppressing the real story, whatever that may be.  And, of course it exposes the hypocrisy & racism of the Royal Family as it demands privacy for Middleton and the press goes along while at the same time, offering up Meghan Markle for public consumption with no pushback.

The racism is significant as King traditionally heads the Commonwealth of Nations - former British Colonies, mostly populated by people of color.  It all begins to look ridiculous in context of their own personal situations & behavior. It stirs debate in those countries about true independence and severing relations with the Crown, like now happening in Jamaica & Nigeria.

The Royals have a long & established history of disposing of people who no longer serve their interests or somehow threaten the Monarchy.   Obviously, Middleton has delivered the heir & spare - and now she is no longer necessary.  Not the first time.

its the unraveling of a centuries old global institution- with almost no questions being asked by the press, for whatever reason.  Thats what is interesting.

The Firm’s choice to shroud everything about her illness/absence in speculation is deliberate, for whatever reason. A very simple statement from William about it would end that, and they’re choosing not to.

The end of the monarchy?  Too soon to tell. But this is a serious shift away from their prior PR efforts to humanize the Royals.

I’m guessing that two things are going on:

1 She values her looks and hair, which is understandable. She doesn’t want to be photographed while undergoing chemo. Kensington Palace can’t say this because this would seem insensitive to less privileged subjects with cancer, who don’t have the chance to hide out in a castle with servants.

2. There are issues with William. It probably started with the Rose affair and blew up with all the negative media coverage over the past few months.

Please, the "Princess of Monticeto" doesn’t have cancer. She chose to leave the royally inner circle and all the protections provided to those within. Any attempt to blame the monarchy is pure "poor little rich girl" buffoonery.

keep in mid the two youngest children haven’t been seen or photographed since Christmas  - why ?  P George only photographed twice since Christmas w William

Middletons mother in a severe car accident in March & was listed in “critical condition” - not seen since.

and then there was the mysterious shooting of Thomas Kingston (married to a Royal) in January & a close pal of William’s. William shows up publicly days later w bruises.

Meanwhile, the rumored mistress Rose Hanbury is making public appearances w Camilla.

Coincidences ?  The Middletons are being erased - all of them

Kate Middleton to Attend Men's Singles Final at Wimbledon as She Continues Her Recovery

Hmm, I'm reading conflicting reports.  Some say that Princess Kate is only attending; others say she will present the trophies, which she's been doing since 2016.  If she does present the trophies, I'm guessing the feminists will be rather unhappy about it since since she did not participate in the women's trophy presentation today.

Perhaps she's not up to public appearances two days in a row.

Yes, that's what most people would think, but I doubt that'll placate the feminists.

Feminists? The debate is mostly between monarchists who say it's all a tempest in a teapot and people who suspect tensions between William and her. The second group says she's flexing on William, showing him that the firm needs her more than she needs them.

We're not on the same page.  I was referring to Princess Kate's participation in the men's trophy presentation but not the women's.
