How often do you hire?

My hiring patterns are highly erratic. As of today, I haven't made an appointment with anyone for at least a year. Now, suddenly, I'm anxious, so I may binge at a rate of once every 2 weeks or so.

Sometimes my sexual energy just isn't there. And if I do have an assignation, I have to put a lot of effort into preliminaries and accessories. These requirements extend beyond what others might consider the usual; plus, I have to travel by bus/train and walk to the hosting professional. (Don't lecture me about the expediency of taxis and Ubers!) All this fuss results in 2 disadvantages: a strong desire to book far in advance (something most providers shy away from) and becoming subject to weather and last-minute delays and cancellations.

I'm still searching for my ideal local go-to guy, but thus far my best matches live elsewhere and visit infrequently, if at all.

We average once a month with escorts and a bit more for massage. And it's a mix of regular guys and then new guys.

I haven't hired in a long time, but looking over my records of my hires between 1979 and 2011, I do see patterns that can mostly be ascribed to circumstances tied to my living conditions and my age. After an initial burst of about once per month, the numbers fell off during the prime years of the AIDS crisis in the mid-1980s, picked up again in the late 80s, fell off when I was living and working in another country in the early 90s, and then when my mother came to live with us in the mid to late 90's, picked up again when she left and during my early retirement, picked up when I became active on this site in the early years of this century, and finally declined to only about twice a year during the last four years before I stopped hiring altogether as I approached 70. My highest totals were 16 hires in 1987 and 15 (sometimes with a pair of escorts) in 1989.

As you said, the practical difficulties of arranging hires usually had more to do with the numbers than my sexually energy did, until the last years.

Over the past year I've met up 32 times, 7 of them for massage, another 8 with a local regular, and then only a few other repeats. Most of them were in bursts while traveling. This is after going 3 years without any sensual/sexual contact. I'm recently starting to feel caught up on that deficit, so I foresee the frequency dropping dramatically.

I'm at 2-3 times a month now.  I keep telling myself I need to cut back, but I now have 3 go to guys in Philly and it's kind of addicting.

Guess I just have to work more to support it.  I'm in my mid fifties, who knows how long I have to enjoy this type of fun before father time catches me!

My body can only handle so much. So sore sometimes after an overnight. It takes me a day to recover…. and to do laundry,

I did a 3hr with one of my Philly guys recently and my body was shot from that!  He can be intense!

I typically hire once a week, mainly for massages. While there are occasional dry spells, my booking frequency tends to increase significantly when I travel, which happens about every other month.

But like many people didn't meet up with anyone all through the Covid panic of 2020 and then stayed cautious through 2021.

As far as escorts I only (usally) hire when I'm traveling alone for business. I dislike being alone for too many days in a row. So will typically hire someone to have dinner with me one night and if I liked him, ask him to stop by a other night for some fun.

When I'm not seeing anyone, I try to hire twice a month. I actually have a line item in my budget for that.

The past few months, I've been hiring less, simply because I'm spending a lot of time with another guy. Open relationship. I've been meaning to ask if he wants to hire a really muscular guy to join us.

However, on vacations, I can hire a couple a week, as I did about a month ago. I'm still working and spend a lot of time oncall, so finding time to hire can be difficult at times.

Pretty much 1-2 times/month.  I have a regular massage guy, and a regular escort guy and generally see each once per month.  Occasionally some hot new meat shows up in Boston, or I Travel for work....which might create additional opportunities.

My hiring also increases when I travel.  I make a list of prospects before leaving and hire about three at my destination. Early afternoon upon check in, early evening, and late night or morning before checkout.

Once to twice per month, but could go significantly increase when travelling. Did 4days hire last month and currently arranging for 3days hire for next couple weeks, both on travel. Tho I could go monk for a period of time if no one intersting around.
