I'm down in L.A.  I've never experienced this before.  Maybe it's the Holidays, my budget, or the fact I'm 64 and heavy, but the men I've contacted by RM chat and even texts do not respond.  Sheesh!  Just say so if you're busy or not interested.  Who do I have to blow to give them my wad?

Relax.  It's all about perspective.  Just a few days ago you posted that you had a RM conversation with a provider, and it was YOU who were "afraid to commit".

Remember that you have successfully met with providers in the past, and follow the formula of what works.  Brief conversations.  Keep discussions to date, location, and price.  Don't pay in advance.

If you're having conversations with providers via RM and are "afraid to commit", they may be blocking you.  Not because of your age or weight, but because they don't want to waste their time on conversations for which they aren't being paid.

It happens. My guess is it has very little to do with you.

FWIW, typically, I send a note describing what I am looking for and ask if the provider thinks we are a match. If so, I inquire about his rate and decide whether or not to schedule an appointment. I don't include my budget when inquiring because it really doesn't matter to the escort what I am willing to spend. When he states his rate, I can make that determination.

All is not lost!  I have a date tonight with a beautiful man.  It is confirmed!  Will report later.

Glad to hear it! Like I said, it's them not you. Jope you have/had a great time.

He does show it all in his hot X (Twitter) account.

$1000 for four hours is below the going rate for the most in demand escorts in LA. Who get more than that for two hours. But it might work for others.

My invite might come with other perks :)

I did not realize how far out of the loop I am.  For me, a provider fee upwards of $500/hr. is laughable.

$1000/(4) hrs = $250/(1) hr

Confirmed, 250/hr is below the going rate for the more in demand men in LA. My understanding: LA is $300+, and a lot of them $350+. LA folks feel free to correct me.

$500+/hr is still laughable in most markets, but it’s out there. Those guys typically do not derive their primary income from in-person provider work.

I’m even lower: $1000/(5) hrs = $200/hr, but then again it’s all a matter of perspective on value, what your budget is, and how long you want to hire for. Some clients see an excellent value in hiring me for 4-5 hrs for that price. $200/hr is a steal when you’re prepared to hire for multiple hours. Others (more commonly) are paying me $300-$500 for just one or two hours.

Yes, thank you, I'm aware of "$1000/(4) hrs = $250/(1) hr," my "upwards of $500/hr." is based upon the statement within the posting to which I responded which reads "$1000 for four hours is below the going rate for the most in demand escorts in LA. Who get more than that for two hours."

at $500 per hour - I’d rather fly to Barcelona & spend the long weekend in/out of Sauna Thermas.  Yes, it’s way more in total - but I’d rather indulge completely.
$350 is my top ceiling in the US.  Beyond that it’s ridiculous, inflation or not.

Funny how inflation for providers is not a thing in Europe ?

Part of my thinking is yes, they could make more per hour, but they might have to meet multiple clients.  If I’m not demanding, in decent shape, clean, reliable etc.  Good chances of being a return client, perhaps travel etc.  I’m probably the safer bet.

The guys who are down low actual fashion models (like with actual ads and such), reality stars, top professional bodybuilders, or just plain top IG/OF types , etc., easily ask for and get $500 to $800 an hour. Because they either are in enough demand and/or can make more money online than in person. I’ve stumbled across a few over the years (I’ll delete and block someone who DMs me asking about getting in touch with whomever - I’m NOT a pimp.)

The prices have gotten so out of hand. 😞 I think the primary reason is that prices are no longer listed publicly on ads/web sites -- and therefore consumers are unable to do easy comparison shopping and finding which provider is a better value. There needs to be a feedback loop to create allow prices more weight when clients are shopping.

An opportunity for a foreign owned website? An opportunity for some information graphics that represents cost without violating laws? An opportunity for clients/providers together to use Mr. Number in a creative new way by listing fees there?
