TopTwinkyLower Posted June 7, 2025 Posted June 7, 2025 I got 5 total Covid shots , for me all safe . Thank god.
samhexum Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 Just scheduled a shot for Friday evening
+ robear Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 Got mine last Thursday, the tenth for me. When I booked at Duane-Reade/Walgreens the week before, in NY, I was told they required a doctor's prescription which he sent through. In the event, just a week later, the pharmacist said they no longer required it but patients of any age, or their guardians, must "attest" that they have a special need for coverage. Nightowl Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 I’ll keep getting the shots as long as they’re available. Fortunately I live in a state that still believes in public health. thomas, samhexum and ericwinters 2 1

Rod Hagen Posted September 16, 2025 Posted September 16, 2025 Got the most recent flu and covid shot, separate weeks. Flu shot was no reaction. Covid Shot was low-grade fever (100.8), easily managed w/Tylenol, for about 24 hours. samhexum and thomas 1 1
+ Just Chuck Posted September 17, 2025 Posted September 17, 2025 I got the COVID, flu, and RSV shots on Monday afternoon. I felt pretty strong headache, body ache, and nausea symptoms from Monday night through Tuesday evening. But now, Wednesday morning, I’m feeling 97% normal. I felt like I needed to rush to get the COVID shot while I could. CVS let me schedule all three shots online and I was in-and-out in less than ten minutes. samhexum and Rod Hagen 1 1
ericwinters Posted September 17, 2025 Posted September 17, 2025 I received the flu shot on Friday afternoon and the COVID shot on Monday afternoon. My PCP clinic didn’t have the COVID vaccine stocked yet. At Walgreens, they asked why I needed it, since they’re prioritizing high-risk populations. I told the pharmacy tech about my underlying condition and got the shot—no problem. And I'm in TexAss, where they think GOD will save us by praying. I had no symptoms from the flu shot other than a tender arm for about a day. The COVID shot, though, gave me a low-grade fever, body aches, and a headache that lasted around 36 hours. Thelatin Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 I went in with strep throat the other day. They had me mask up and tested me for the flu and Covid, lastly they looked in my throat and did a strep test lol. I told them it was strep, I’ve had it before. I was out of town and they mentioned my out of pocket had been met for the year. Were they just wanting to make a few extra bucks?
TonyDown Posted September 25, 2025 Posted September 25, 2025 Got the flu shot and COVID 19 latest booster. Had a low grade fever after 24 hours, but hardly worth mentioning, as it did not last. Had the usual shoulder pain.
TonyDown Posted Tuesday at 06:32 AM Posted Tuesday at 06:32 AM I got the latest COVID 19 booster last week. In the past I've had mild reactions, low fever and fatigue. This latest booster was much worse for me. Lot of body aches, muscle pain and joint pain. Had difficulty sleeping, two nights. I'm wondering if the root cause is something about me, or is this particular booster version more aggressive. Anyone else had the latest booster? How did it go for you? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>Cleveland Clinic<<<<<<<<<<<<<< samhexum 1
nomad Posted Tuesday at 02:12 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:12 PM Got it about a month ago. Took regiment of 2 Tylenol and 3 Advils twice a day for 3 days after I got the shoot. No side effects other than slight soreness the first day after. Been doing this since my dentist suggested it after I told him about my reaction to the shoot shortly after the boosters became available a few years ago now. Works well for me. TonyDown 1
+ Charlie Posted Tuesday at 02:57 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:57 PM I have never had any reaction to the booster, including the most recent one. liubit, + sf westcoaster and TonyDown 2 1
+ Pensant Posted Wednesday at 01:39 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:39 PM Only got one booster in December 2021 and haven’t had one since. I’ve also never contracted Covid. Maybe I have natural immunity?

Maybe I have natural immunity? It's probable that you had it but with such mild symptoms you never thought to test for it. I knew a healthcare provider who was doing daily testing and tested positive one day bracketed by two days he tested negative. Interestingly his fitness tracker noticed his resting heart rate was higher for that one day as well. He said he felt totally fine. + Vegas_Millennial 1

Maybe I have natural immunity? Would be extremely rare. A friend thought he never had Covid until he had some blood work done and the antibodies showed that he had contracted it before. Just no symptoms.

nomad Posted Wednesday at 09:16 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:16 PM Then you probably haven't caught it to-date. I haven't either. Nor have the other two people I share a house with. It's rare to say the least. Certainly not expecting it to be able to dodge it forever. 🙏 + APPLE1 1
BigDMike Posted Wednesday at 10:49 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:49 PM I get mine each fall with the flu shot....no issues I did contract it twice before the vaccinations were released...haven't had an issue since samhexum 1
+ APPLE1 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I never mind the general "icks" that come with any vaccination. In some ways I welcome them. It's a conformation that my immune system is working to fighting a foreign invasion, and learning learning how to fight the invader stronger and faster the next time it appears. samhexum 1
+ Charlie Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago After my spouse and I stopped getting the COVID shots regularly, we both caught it. Luckily, we had mild cases, but after that, I went back to getting the vaccine every year. samhexum 1
