+ robear Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Got mine last Thursday, the tenth for me. When I booked at Duane-Reade/Walgreens the week before, in NY, I was told they required a doctor's prescription which he sent through. In the event, just a week later, the pharmacist said they no longer required it but patients of any age, or their guardians, must "attest" that they have a special need for coverage. This is the three-ring circus preventive healthcare in America is being reduced to. samhexum 1
Nightowl Posted September 16 Posted September 16 I’ll keep getting the shots as long as they’re available. Fortunately I live in a state that still believes in public health. samhexum, thomas and ericwinters 2 1

Rod Hagen Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Got the most recent flu and covid shot, separate weeks. Flu shot was no reaction. Covid Shot was low-grade fever (100.8), easily managed w/Tylenol, for about 24 hours. thomas and samhexum 1 1
+ Just Chuck Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I got the COVID, flu, and RSV shots on Monday afternoon. I felt pretty strong headache, body ache, and nausea symptoms from Monday night through Tuesday evening. But now, Wednesday morning, I’m feeling 97% normal. I felt like I needed to rush to get the COVID shot while I could. CVS let me schedule all three shots online and I was in-and-out in less than ten minutes. Rod Hagen and samhexum 1 1
ericwinters Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I received the flu shot on Friday afternoon and the COVID shot on Monday afternoon. My PCP clinic didn’t have the COVID vaccine stocked yet. At Walgreens, they asked why I needed it, since they’re prioritizing high-risk populations. I told the pharmacy tech about my underlying condition and got the shot—no problem. And I'm in TexAss, where they think GOD will save us by praying. I had no symptoms from the flu shot other than a tender arm for about a day. The COVID shot, though, gave me a low-grade fever, body aches, and a headache that lasted around 36 hours. + robear, + Just Chuck, samhexum and 1 other 3 1
Thelatin Posted September 20 Posted September 20 I went in with strep throat the other day. They had me mask up and tested me for the flu and Covid, lastly they looked in my throat and did a strep test lol. I told them it was strep, I’ve had it before. I was out of town and they mentioned my out of pocket had been met for the year. Were they just wanting to make a few extra bucks?
TonyDown Posted Thursday at 10:12 PM Posted Thursday at 10:12 PM Got the flu shot and COVID 19 latest booster. Had a low grade fever after 24 hours, but hardly worth mentioning, as it did not last. Had the usual shoulder pain.
