the event is on the West Coast. Is there any interest in a Palm Beach Pool Party for the East Coast boys? A bevy of escorts, legends in their own time, could be decorative accessories to the event, and, too, a few "legends in the making (one or two European and/or South American "imports") and, of course, the Divinity known as Ziya from Tampa) .Yes, Robber Baron is bored. . .he makes his home in the country but he ain't buried in it. . .yet.

The west coast event started out as a small party with the focus on thanking the escorts and having an opportunity to mingle in a relatively stress free environment with fellow posters and with escorts.  Over the years, the careful guidance of Oliver and the deviled eggs of Epigonos have made this an event I try to circle as a cure for the winter blues.  Each time I have gone, it has been a different type of experience with the basics being the same but with an influx of new people and an eye for spontaneity at the scheduled events.

That being said, an east coast event would be fun but it should start with an identity of its own and with an overseer who will foster its growth as Oliver has done lo these many years.  So count me in if you care to start such a project.  A word of advice, the most successful version of this event on the east coast has been in DC and centered around IML.  It has been fun but January in the NE is not ideal and the IML was the draw but also a distraction for the attendees.   A SE venue with a gay friendly vibe in the late summer early fall probably has the best chance for success.

Please keep us informed if the idea becomes a reality.

For me, more than most I suspect, stepping off an aeroplane and walking to the metro station at Washington National for the gathering, had a certain frisson that was difficult to contemplate as I packed for the trip. I have, however enjoyed the couple of time I have made the trek and would do it again.

I like the idea. DC/MAL is always at risk of flight cancelations if we get a storm. Florida reduces that risk. I might suggest Fort Lauderdale over Palm Beach as it offers more venues: bars; baths; clothing optional resorts and gay restaurants that can accommodate large parties.

I’m new here but would be interested in an east coast event. Can anyone tell me where I can find out more about the one in Palm Springs?

CleanCut_Guy PM me if you would like a detailed picture of the Palm Springs Weekend. Another possibility is to do a search for "The Palm Springs Weekend" there should be tons of posts. If you find you are interested in attending the 2023 event we would love to have you join us. IT'S LOTS OF FUN!!!!!

Thanks for the info. I’m new as a provider so this seems like a good place to meet others and network :) and a lot of fun too!

And thanks for sending the links @azdr0710!

I think the idea of a “regional” meetup that’s centered around the idea of the gathering in Coachella valley could also be a good way to get more involved.

In the Midwest, there’s even a few locations. Eureka Springs, Arkansas could serve as a nice spot with a “outdoor/hiking” theme to it.

I’ve also suggested the idea of renting Reunion homes or “cabins” (which in some areas, a cabin is basically a reunion home in the woods) versus fussing with separate accommodations: however that probably won’t be the best fit if there’s more than 12-20 people attending.

That said: Part of what makes the PS event work is the expanse of hotels and resorts, restaurants, nightlife and climate. It’s also small enough to be close to everything. Having the option to move around is good.

I recall last year I was at a nude campground in Dade City for a few days. Though you really didn’t need to leave the campground for anything, I think everyone had a bit “cabin feverish” by the end of it all because unless you drove, you were pretty much stuck in that space (nothing was in walking distance outside of the park). But it also made for the opportunity to stay focused on the event, because we didn’t have outside distractions.

Speaking of which: here’s a good example of reunion home I had in mind:

And notice also: even though it’s $1,500 a night, if it’s split between 25 people: that’s only $60 a night. With 40 people, that’s only $37.50 a night. Much less than the $150, 200, $400 a night places many cities have gotten to.

Just get everyone to put in their share before the time and everything turn out great.
