Not really. The provider can estimate what transportation will cost and include it, but it doesn't involve me using my account and if the rates go up because its busy, that's not on us. 

Honestly, I find the "send me an uber" thing silly as there are plenty of providers who just hop on the train, ride their bikes over, and some have cars. 

We actually don't cover Ubers; in NYC it can be $50 or $60 for a 20-30 minute trip that would probably be faster by train. As others have said, once they know where they are, they can include transportation into their rate. But I'm not into a la carte.

I agree with you. I would never pressure someone to do something they aren't comfortable with. This happened when I was new to this, and now I am very explicit about what I expect and what I'll pay for it. This provider was charging the upper end of what is customary in NYC (which usually includes oral), so getting close to the end and throwing the upcharge in feels unfair.

In my experience, bottoms and tops come in all shapes and sizes. If you're talking about providers, I suspect what you're seeing is market dynamics. I agree with you on hygiene but I wonder if that has anything to do with vague marketing. Looking through Rentmen, some guys are very explicit. If a provider wants to curate their clientele for escort purposes, they should stick to Rentmasseur and then let those they're interested in know they're open to more. 

We're in a similar spot. While I understand inflation and don't begrudge providers making what they can, the jump from $300-$350 an hour to $400-$500 an hour in the past 12-18 months has slowed our hiring. We're not rich, so hiring is an indulgence. Plus, as a couple, we prefer to hire for at least two hours, so we're looking at $700-$800 for a single session. So I find we're much choosier with a new provider and seeing the guys we like when our schedules all line up, which is another obstacle.

I don't want to invalidate your experience but I've seen Erik many times, and I'm a very femme person and was about 60 lbs overweight at that time. So it seems unlikely that if he found you unattractive and your interaction with him left you with low self-esteem, it was because you are femme or overweight.

On a serious note, in almost five year of pursuing this hobby - using primarily Rent.men in at least four countries - we've never had a legal issue. We do what @pubic_assistance and @BuffaloKyle have suggested, which is stick guys who are well-reviewed and have been mentioned on here. Occasionally, someone will not have been discussed here, but if they have what seems like a lot of legitimate reviews on RM, we'll go ahead. We've had a couple of duds but overall our experiences have been good to great.
