DruJac reacted to john4112nola in Montreal clubs during Pride weekend
I was in Montreal at the start of pride July 31 - Aug 3. I usually go to Campus in the late afternoons to gamble and to see if any twink/boy next door boys are working. This trip, I did not go since my favorite dancer left Campus. This is the first time in many months I went to Taboo. It was much better than I had expected. Thur, Fri, and Sat had bigger crowds (not packed) than my previous visit. Each night there were around 6 dancers. Most, not all, got naked on their second songs, a few at full attention I arrived around 9-9:30 each night, left before midnight. Sunday is trans night, so I did not go. If you look at Their Instagram (jerry.taboo , not the older ones that are outdated), you can get a good idea of current dancers. My favorite is Michaelo (he is also listed on stock site, but has not worked there in a long time). It was either Fri or Sat, I walked in at 9:30 and there was a Bachelorette event in progress, which ended at 10pm.
Red Diamond has finished their re-model and opened up without their liquor license to try to get some business during pride. They were doing auditions/interviews for staff/dancers. The new remodel looks nice, but their success will depend on getting a good group of reliable dancers. I only stopped in to see the remodel, since I was invited to do so. They expect to have their license in a few weeks.
I spent the majority of my time at Stock. As a mentioned in previous threads, it is more for the customers/bar tender, then the dancers. The "dancer" link on their website is not accurate. A better way to tell who still dances there is to look at the videos->live shows preview link and look at the dates. I can confirm Mike, Nick, Romeo, Sam, Marco, and Levy were working (Mostly twink or twinkish). The website shows Angel, Greg, Chad, Erick, Gab, Hugo, Dante, Jayjay, Augusto, Kyle, Santiago, and Alexander all doing shows within the last month. Many look familiar. I also know there are several others who are not on the site, but do not know their names. Friday and Saturday I spent the night at the upper bar with bartender Dimitri, and the Unity crowd that comes in periodically for a drink or two. Sunday, I went to Stock around 8 and stayed at the front bar since Dimitri was bartending.
@Colton Matt Ryan owns the portable pole you saw outside stock. He has been doing outside shows for years, and his location varies. Currently, Mike and Romeo also perform with him. All 3 also dance at Stock. Matt will let anyone who wants to learn the pole get up there and try (He teaches pole dancing). I do not believe the other performer you saw works at Stock.
St Catherine street during the day was filled with Vendors for Pride; and a pretty good walking crowd. The usual homeless/crack heads were present, but they are harmless. I always feels safe walking St. Catherine. Thursday night was the last fireworks night, so clubs were slow until the show finished.
Back again mid September

A few immediate thoughts from my trip
- The Village was really cleaned up. Not sure if that was because of pride or just general increased policing. Police were definitely trigger happy on Saturday night when they tear gassed the Rad Pride parade basically right outside the Hyatt Place. Fortunately I couldn't get a room at the Hyatt that night so was staying elsewhere. No reports of injuries and no arrests, but at least one Stock dancer got sprayed on his way to work. Unfortunately for Red Pride's socialist ideals, the proletariat dancer made it to the means of productions club that night to earn money for Stock's Bourgeoisie owner.
- Many new dancers from two years ago, include at least one dancers who switched clubs. I think Gatuso who was at Stock is now at Campus (not 100% positive on this). Stock's talent pool greatly increased, and they had temp dancers who were visiting from the DR and Spain for the summer.
- Not as many women in the clubs. Stock bar has stopped "catering" to hen parties by ending their exclusive early access hour. There were parties there, but they were small and relatively quiet. In Campus, there was one or two hen parties in the corner past Daddies Corner (worst name), but not right in front of the dance floor. I didn't see any women get dances.
- There might be a woman dancer at Stock. She was dancing outside on the pole placed on the St C avenue for pride, and the male pole dancers eventually moved inside to work. She was inside, but I didn't see her do any dances inside (neither private nor on stage), but I wasn't always watching.
- The $18 covers at both clubs was annoying. I wish they sold a weekend pass so I could go back and forth easily.

Thanks for reporting back! Always appreciated.
It can be hard letting a dancer know you are not interested without offending them. I try to be polite but firm, simply saying no thank you, have a good rest of your night.
It is great to see Campus doing so well. Stock needs to figure it out because the demand is there. Montreal is a treasure!!

Hi everyone!
This is my first post after lurking for a while and enjoying reading you all.
I have just returned from a trip to Montreal and wanted to recount my experiences.
I was expecting to spend most of my time at Stock since first going there in March and being wowed by the magnetic Gatuso, but I arrived early so went over to Campus first - not knowing what to expect.
I am glad I did. After a slowish start things got going quickly after 10pm with so many dancers! I ended up staying the whole night (and then passing large portions of Friday and Saturday nights there too).
My bank balance won’t thank me but I must have had private dances with a good dozen of their dancers by the end of the weekend. A special mention to Brandon, Mike, Dave and Charles for being extra special (to my taste anyway), but there really is someone for every taste.
I was a solo visitor and once it was seen that I was partaking in private dances I did attract a fair bit of (overwhelmingly welcome) attention from the dancers, but there is one thing I found a bit difficult at times, and that was making it clear I wasn’t interested.
Sometimes I made no effort to attract a guy’s attention and they would engage me in conversation. I then found it difficult to communicate that I wasn’t really interested. When the inevitable question came about whether I wanted a dance, I would say something about “maybe later” hoping they would get the hint (I’m English, we are polite!) but it was often interpreted literally! One dancer was quite put out when “later” never arrived and made a great show of ignoring me completely the next day!
Anyway, on my last night I did venture over to Stock and whilst it is undoubtedly quieter, I really didn’t mind since I was only there for Jasper and Jasper alone. Sharing one or their more private booths with him was heaven and well worth the trip alone.
A word about booths - whilst there isn’t really a curtain at Campus the booths are still quite well tucked away and I didn’t really feel on display at all.
All in all, I would agree that Campus is on a roll. But I also agree with an earlier contributor who said that Campus is also good for getting “numbers for later”. It is a system which benefits both parties and is a lot more fun than a certain website!
Anyway, thanks for the great site and I hope to return to Montreal once my bank balance has healed! 😉

I admit I'm new to the Montreal scene, but if the women help keep the doors open and don't go into the private dance area I'm fine. Also, the strippers better continue to focus on gay patrons.
I've been to Montreal three times within the last year. Each time, the guys at Stock only focused on the female guests and the men in the VIP section. The rest of us were treated like guests at the town bar, ignored unless ordering a drink. They barely work the room or give a shit about male patrons at Stock. I was blown off by Gatuso after working up the courage to ask if he did private dances. He said not now and B-lined it to a group of new female customers that arrived. Well fuck me for being a guy, with money to burn, in a "gay" strip club. Happily blew couple hundred CAD on Campus' hunks.
Campus, was on another level. All of the men are hungry for dances and really work the room. The music and stage show is almost Magic Mike level. None of them would dare say no to a dance (within reason I'm sure). Most of the time they pretend to be sad or confused when I tell them I liked them but didn't want to approach at first. They are there to serve their customers.
To be honest, the bar tenders, security, managers, and especially the preppy older coat check darling at Stock are fantastic and welcoming. But, their dancers are NOT. At Campus, everyone was polite and it's where I prefer to be after hours.
Note: I understand the dancers are humans and I'm not owed a dance at any moment. But it was a real slap in the face type of situation you'd understand if you experienced it.

I really don’t want to continue but some of the accusations and shade from a poster above, written like a Philadelphia lawyer who is getting paid by the syllable, needs some light to breakthrough the said shade and accusations. So I will accept the burden. I’m also going to try to set an example of how to write in a succinct and organized manner…. Hopefully the rambling and verbose poster will either cease with his don Quixote crusade or at least write with less bloviating.
When you are a customer in a male strip club… in particular a gay strip club you (whether you be Male or female) shouldn’t wear clothes with your tits hanging out. Especially if you are obese. If posting a picture of an obese individual… sitting at the main stage with their big tits hanging out offends the poster’s sensibilities…. I would advise them to get a tissue and go see a therapist. there is no contradiction in the three images I posted. The two images of the stage showed women at the stage. No men. I did not take any photos in the bar. They were sent to me by someone who subscribes to the live feed. Stock bar had less than 10 dancers for the main gay pride weekend. My understanding is it was 6 or 7 dancers. They could not run a continuous stage and only about 1 out of every 3 songs had a dancer on stage. From the early 2000s to 2019 they had 40-50 dancers on Pride weekend…. EVERY SINGLE YEAR. That is a truth. So the poster who tried to say it was nothing but rainbows and butterflies is either lying to himself or has amnesia about the pre-Covid montreal strip bar scene and its environment. ‘I am happy to understand Campus on the other hand had a really good lineup. Although I am an “American” and an ‘irregular’ visitor I have no problems connecting with dancers at either bar. There are always a few boys that are VERY happy to see me. Although my in hotel visits are now limited to “former” stock dancers who I see whenever I go to montreal and whatever campus boys that I like who make the suggestion that we could have more “fun” in my hotel room. I will not share further details on the in bar or out of bar activities because they are too explicit for this forum.

DruJac reacted to dan631 in Anyone else doing Adonis NYC tonight?
I’ve been to Adonis, and I can’t say I enjoyed myself. The guys dancing didn’t look like they were having fun. Definitely good-looking guys, everyone is fit, but for me if a guy doesn’t seem like he’s enjoying himself, it’s a total mood killer. I don’t think I’ll be back. The owner is nice though.

good !
There are very few of these type saunas remaining with most of them in Brazil. The Thermas facility is definitely bigger than the new Lagoa. And it feels bigger than Pointe 202 & 117. It gets very crowded for sure, but doesn’t feel absolutely packed like the Brazilian saunas mainly due to Thermas larger facility. There is no such thing as waiting for a room at Thermas because there is always somewhere to go - there are lots of free cabins there that will do for 30 minutes.
Don’t pay too much attention to going during peak hours - I think that’s a big mistake for most, especially if unfamiliar with the layout and guys. My best experiences have been off-hours when it’s not crowded. On my last visit, I went on a Saturday at about noon - the cashier told me there was only one working guy there and 3 other customers. I didn’t have any other plans, so I thought why not just enjoy the facilities for a while ? Within 30 minutes I met one of the most beautiful, gifted and kind Brazilian garotos anywhere. I spent a couple hours with him in sessions and having drinks & chatting (he spoke enough English to get by). I left the sauna at 3p as the working guys were streaming in. Went to hotel, took a nap and returned for round two at 7p as the crowd was starting to thin-out. The moment I walked through the door on the return, I met one of my all time favorites and spent the rest of the night with him.
Success in the sauna doesn’t require any special expertise - other than an awareness that you are being watched, sized-up & discussed by the boys. Treat them all with respect and don’t waste their time unless you’re really interested. The guys I know from there all take pride in their appearance and go the extra mile in personal hygiene - they appreciate it when clients do the same. A prepared client who is polite, respectful & generous is a popular client who can get whatever they want. While the base rate is 50, tipping for extraordinary service is appropriate and small tips to the attendants and bartender goes a long way too. If you can manage some basic Spanish, that’s a game-changer.
I’m a huge fan of Thermas and have so many great memories from there. Happy to share.

go to Barcelona - pick a hotel within walking distance to Sauna Thermas. You’ll have the best of both worlds - a sauna venue with plenty of choices & extensive online options. All in a very safe environment & nice hotels at reasonable price points.

He actually stopped me and asked if I wanted a lap dance. I was actually trying to get another guy but I saw this tall handsome dude and said “Sure, but just one song.” Maybe six minutes passed and the song hadn’t changed and I was honestly bored so I piped up and said “Are we done with our song?” He immediately took a pointedly scolding and aggressive tone, stood up and said “Dude, that was four songs.” Objectively, it had not been. I was literally waiting for it to end so I could go find the dancer I had been looking for. He demanded I Cash-app him for the full four songs and got loud in that back area and was making a scene— right off the bat. I had the choice to fight back or just pony up and avoid this incredibly confrontational prick. So I ponied up. When I emailed Matt about it later he apologized and said some of the NYC guys do this and he’d talk to him, but I haven’t been to one of these events since then. It really soured the night for me.

Never been but I'm on the newsletter list so I always get emails about the events. Always wanted to go to that, Blow Buddies and some of the other weekday events but figured the attendance probably isn't as big.
Also, was always curious if I, a POC, would fit in.

DruJac reacted to Luv2play in Montreal - last minute updates?
I was in Montreal this weekend and paid a visit to Campus Friday evening after many years absence. Arrived around 8:30 and left at 10. There were over a dozen dancers and more came in for the 9 shift and a few might have left. They were all great looking, most my type, muscular but not muscle bound. Nice slim waists and medium height to taller.
All friendly; I took a dance with Matt, who told me he has worked there for a number of years. Still seemed young. A hockey player, works in a factory and very good looking. I talked with a few others, Matthew and Alexandre, both nice looking and not aggresive. I didn't lead them on since Matt was enough to satisfy my lust lol.
I had had a workout with an escort in the afternoon so kept the number of dances to 3 with Matt. There is no cover on the door of each cabin so not like the old days when one could have a lot of fun.
About the women, there were only a few, maybe 3, when I arrived but they started piling in around 9:30. When I left at 10 there were 6 waiting to pay the cover $8. to come in. All very plain looking.
I didn't see woman taking a dancer to the back and I was sitting near the entrance to the private booths just beside the dj. Overall a very enjoyable experience for what it was. But for me I get more bang for my buck with escorts.
Had two wonderful ones for the weekend.
Oh and the weather was great, especially Saturday. Sunny and almost 20c. People were in shorts.

DruJac reacted to EZEtoGRU in STOCK BAR / MONTREAL
I was surprised to read on the FB page that Stock would be sold. I wish the new buyers well in this business venture. I also wanted to take the opportunity to thank current owners Steven and Bobby for building such a great club for us all to visit over the years. They really did turn Stock into an institution and quality establishment that set the standard for male strip clubs in North America. I spent many nights there over the years and developed friendships with dancers and employees alike. It felt like going home when I would enter Stock.
Best wishes to Steven and Bobby with whatever opportunities they wish to pursue!!

DruJac reacted to + sniper in Can Prejudice Masquerade as Preference?
His job is to make people feel better, and he was doing the opposite of that. Maybe if you pointed out to him that that wasn't a great business strategy, he'd get the point, but probably not. He was "negging" you, as the douchebro "pickup artists" call it.
-
DruJac reacted to + sniper in Can Prejudice Masquerade as Preference?
It's not unusual to have a preference, plenty of people have a "type" but announcing it preemptively is appalling and indicative of a character flaw. There's a line between "keeping it real" and being an asshole and this crossed it. The kind of person who likes to get a rise out of people/push their buttons is generally not the kind of person worth getting to know.
-
DruJac reacted to DWnyc in Can Prejudice Masquerade as Preference?
Not a surprise, and issues that many have to deal with on a daily basis in all walks of life.
No disrespect meant to anyone, but I think some demographics (eg the dancer here) frequently fall back on their perceptions of superiority (not just on race, could be about age, assessment of their body/looks etc) to demean those interacting with them to try and narrow the gap they feel with them on power and status. The dancer must hate that something he despises has the economic power to be a customer he has to accommodate to pay his bills.
Good for the OP for not facilitating that - with enough people standing up to him he may think about censoring his obnoxious behavior.
And I’ll add that this topic has come up a few times either directly or indirectly (eg why might a provider ask for a photo and is that ok) and it seems awkward for many to discuss, however well meaning they may be. Part of that is, it is hard for some to believe / understand something they don’t experience themselves. Please keep raising examples to educate all of us.
