Yes, he is an Anglican priest in Canada, and he does post photos of his dog and sometimes (less often with, or of, his husband).

But could you imagine how much gas would spill when you filled the tank?

If that were the case, the number on the sign at the servo would be less intimidating.

It would seem there's a boundary between your sense of humour and his.

I saw this comment in a political blog, about a politician whom some consider to he dull and unmemorable but who has risen to a position of considerable power. It seems perfect for a dependable yet unremarkable person, reliable in most circumstances but who fails to inspire.
'He looks like the guy in the photo that comes with the frame.'

He is a professional, in all ways. There are very few who really work at, and devote their time to, his particular profession. And he's easy. Easy to look at, easy to schedule (usually), easy to warm up to, easy with older guys, easy attitude and "go with the flow" stuff. Just doesn't seem to get bothered by all the varied things he must have to deal with day after day, client after client. I really do admire his work ethic. Wish more providers were like him.

In most major events there are interesting vignettes related to them. In this case, one of the passengers on the ship was dropped home to Tristan da Cunha in mid April and subsequently developed symptoms of the disease. The response required, from the British Army and the Royal Air Force, is extraordinary.

I was checking out the Tripadvisor reviews for a historic schoolhouse converted into a small inn. This was actually in one of the reviews:
The room was spacious and comfortable. There was popcorn, coffee, and snacks available on the floor.
It seems the housekeeping might be questionable so if I decide to stay there I'll probably check out some of the local restaurants when I'm hungry.

The decline did indeed hit its stride in the 1920s but it wasn't because we were following a European trend. In fact, it was largely due to three American innovations:
1.- The Electric Starter (1912). Before this, gas cars required a dangerous hand-crank to start.
2.- The Assembly Line. Henry Ford’s Model T made gasoline cars significantly cheaper than their electric counterparts. By 1912, an electric roadster cost $1,750, while a gasoline car cost only $650.
3.- The U.S. Highway System. As Americans wanted to travel between cities, the limited range of electric batteries and the lack of rural electricity made gasoline the only viable option.
