I eat whatever I am in the mood for, no matter the time of day.  Then again, I sleep for a few hours a couple of times a day and do not have anything near a regular schedule.  I often stay up all night & sleep during the day.  I had pot roast at 6 AM yesterday.

Andy768 reacted to + JEC in Is racism rampant in the American healthcare system?
As someone who works in healthcare, our Healthcare system is designed by rich white STRAIGHT men, for rich white STRAIGHT men.  We put the best hospitals ckinics and clinicians in affluent areas (we call it a "good payer mix", payers being insurance).  We schedule services during normal working hours.  Majority of information is in English, and staff are English speaking.  We don't really attempt to understand peoples' cultures, norms, preferences, or unique factors that affect their health.  Research dollars disproportionately go to solve problems of rich white STRAIGHT men.  Visiting hours don't accommodate ppl who work odd hours, or multiple jobs.  It's hard to even get a routine lab draw done outside of "normal working hours".  I could go on and on.
I'll offer you an example.  I had a minor surgery recently where I stayed overnight in the hospital.  I brought my usual daily meds with me including my PREP (Truvada).  Well, the fact that I brought my own meds triggered a huge drama.  A nurse manager was called, then a pharmacist was called to the room.  They held the plastic ziplock bag up "what's this blue pill"?.  They took the pills away for investigation.  They came back 2 or 3 times to ask more questions.  Meanwhile, they must have said the word Truvada (at full volume) what felt like 100 times....in my 10X10 room with a STRAIGHT roommate whose family was visiting.  It sounded and felt like Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada.   All while recovering from anesthesia.  No consideration about my privacy, or that being on that particular med might be sensitive information.  THAT is what a healthcare system designed by rich white STRAIGHT men looks and acts like.

I became sexually active fairly young (17), so most of the gay men with whom I had sex in the early years were older than I was, and most wanted to, or expected to, fuck me. They seemed to stereotype me as a "twink," since I was average height (5'10") and very slender, and I was attracted to taller men who were well built and hairy, so they often were taken aback when I resisted the classic script. As a result, when they did fuck me, I was usually less than enthusiastic about it, and rarely maintained an erection while being fucked.
The first time that I discovered that getting fucked could actually be pleasurable occurred in my early 20s. I was a regular at a local gay bar in Philadelphia, and one of the bartenders was a favorite with many customers. I found him physically and personally very attractive, and I was told by other regulars that he had a big cock and loved to fuck, and he was good at it. One night he suggested at closing that he would like to accompany me to my apartment, and I said yes. Because I liked him and already knew what to expect, I was relaxed and prepared to make the best of the experience. When we tumbled into bed we were still partly dressed, and he quickly took me from behind. He whispered sweet nothings in my ear as he slowly fucked me while jerking me off, and to my own surprise I came explosively at the same time he did! It wasn't until he withdrew that I saw his cock, and was shocked at the size of it--how could I possibly have taken that?! The answer, of course, was that I was strongly attracted to him, was psychologically prepared, and he was an expert at what he did to make me enjoy the whole physical and emotional experience. Unfortunately, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but he did make me realize that it was possible.

I really enjoyed Looking but wasn't a fan of this one. It's just not how I experience grief and it came across to me as more stylized than authentic. But to each his own! And happy to support an earnest effort from Andrew Haigh (and my local art theater!) anyway.

Congratulations Team Carota!!  Wow, coming back from a 2 sets to love deficit is a helluva feat.  So happy for Jannik, such a deserving first-time Slam champion.  At the same time, you gotta feel sorry for Daniil, who lost his 5th Slam final and his 2nd after leading 2 sets to love.
This is Sinner's first Slam victory, but it won't be his last.  He has the game to win many many more in his career.  We'll be seeing a lot more goofy carrot costumes in the stands.

For me, there has been a distinct difference in the general feeling around Liz Magill and Claudine Gay. I think you could argue that they both "couldn't navigate a delicate situation." But only one of them seemed to be questioned regarding whether she ever deserved the position to begin with. Maybe I missed it, but I didn't get a general sense that people doubted whether Magill ever should've been president in the first place.
It just seems to me like Magill's failure was "allowed" to be "she made mistakes" without question on whether she was qualified to be president, whereas Gay has been less "she made mistakes" and more "she was a diversity hire."

For those who don't get the reference, Team Carota is a group of guys who support Jannik Sinner by wearing goofy carrot costumes in the stands.  I, like most I think, assumed the carrots were a nod to Sinner's red hair, but it's actually because Sinner has the odd habit of eating carrots during changeovers.
The Djoker-Shelton drama resurfaced in this Australian Open, with Novak saying that Shelton showed disrespectful behavior in their USO match.  Unfortunately, no rematch on court.  Although they were slotted to meet in the 4th round, unconventional veteran Mannarino upset Ben in the 3R.  Ben's dad & coach Bryan admitted that the drama was a distraction for Ben, who when asked about it said he just wanted to put it behind him.
    Here's a video about Sinner's carrot-garbed supporters:

Thanks for the news about Pete's wife.  I didn't know she was battling cancer.  In that long 2 years before the 2002 US Open, tough times when his ranking dropped and he didn't win a single tournament, his wife's support never wavered.  I remember him saying that was the one silver lining in all his struggles, at least he knew he married the right one.  Now it's his turn to support her.  I pray she beats the cancer and gets back to 100%.

I've lived in Chicago my entire adult life and I'm willing to try and answer any questions. I should mention a monthly LGBTQ+ storytelling show.  It's called Outspoken Chicago and it takes place the first Tuesday every month at Sidetrack.  There is no cost to attend these true personal narratives but an ID is required to show proof of age at the entrance.

I've been to Cathedral City Boys Club(CCBC) and will be staying there in April to attend my first spring gathering of this group. Like Palm Springs itself, it definitely skews older. In fact, I was initially amused by, but later came to have a certain level of respect, for an elderly gent who cruised the play area using a walker!

For me this was a swing and a miss. I've read that some of the people involved with the film felt in retrospect that it was a mistake to market it as a "history lesson" film, but that feels like a pretty accurate representation of how it came off to me: "after school special"-type messaging/subtext in an ostensible romantic comedy. Without sugarcoating it, the plot, writing, and acting of the rom-com part itself really didn't feel much different from some of the low-budget direct-to-video gay movies from the 1990s. I'm kind of surprised that it's apparently a critical darling - like, did we see the same movie?
That said, I was happy to support the box office of a big studio-funded film like this, which I think really was a heartfelt effort by Eichner and the rest to produce something good. I appreciate the attempt even if it missed the mark for me, and I hope it doesn't slow opportunities for more big studio-funded LGBT films in the future.
Also, I was listening to a fairly liberal-minded, young, straight woman talk about it, and she thought the sex scenes were egregious. Which was a wake-up call as to how inundated I am in my gay universe because - well, of course I didn't bat an eyelash at the content - but I really didn't realize how distasteful it might come off to even generally open-minded people.

I doubt the #54 ranked doubles player has any endorsements.  But Fabien Reboul is a good-looking guy with a great body.  Now that he's "on the map," coming out might actually get him an endorsement or two.  In any case, I wish the guy all the best.

Many women tennis pros have come out:  from Billie Jean King and Martina Navratilova back in the '80s to Amelie Mauresmo to most recently Kasatkina, to the point that coming out is almost a non-story on the WTA side.  But no ATP player has come out, until now.
Apparently Fabien Reboul and his boyfriend Maxence Broville both posted the picture on the left on their Instagrams.  Although you can't see their faces (horny devils), Reboul is on the right.  Reboul is also the guy in the swimsuit in the other photo.  Since I can't access Instagram, hopefully someone can double-check the posts on both players' accounts.
A number of years back, Sports Illustrated & Tennis Channel commentator Jon Wertheim addressed the issue of why no ATP player has ever come out, noting that the first to do so would likely get a very positive response from his fellow players.  Brian Vahaly and Jan-Michael Gambill did come out but only post-retirement.  Reboul is the first active player to do so.  Ranked #54, Reboul still plays a number of Challengers but plays enough ATP tournaments to be called an ATP player.  Broville, ranked #872, is playing Futures (kinda like playing Single A baseball).
