Absolutely.  Some escorts advertise themselves as happy to work with beginners.  I would just be very specific in describing what you want.  If you get any sense that the provider isn't interested or excited, just move on.  There are plenty who would be happy to give you the practice you need.

You are certainly not alone.  I was (and still am) in the exact same boat.  I am always 100% honest with everyone I met and told them about this.  I go as far as, “I really don't know how to do this and I really don't know what I'm doing.  Please stop me and tell me if I’m doing something wrong.”  All of them shrugged/laughed it off.  Nobody seemed to care.  There’s no need to worry about it.  In fact, I sometimes tell them to show me how to do it "properly."  I treat them as my mentors with benefits.

Same here. Although I am discovering some of my preferred provider personas don't have the depth, capacity, or desire to act as a mentor during the paid sessions.

Yes they would, if you tell them when booking. Lots of my clients say that they’re exploring and want to use their session to build confidence. It’s a safe environment to do that. What I see is that guys over think: ‘I’m not a good kisser’ and what passionate kissing is about becomes the noise in their head when kissing and of course that inhibits their kiss. Quieten your mind, stop thinking about it and just do it. Lose yourself in it. You’ll find you can kiss passionately, and suck cock (although there are some techniques you can learn for that).

Hiring has the potential to be practice for anything you want to try with limited downside. Just have clear communication of needs and expectations. Go for it!

I think this is a great idea and I'm grateful for providers who are willing to coach.  I've had conversations with providers about trying different things (and then I changed my mind), but it's really nice to know I have someone who would be there for me.

To the OP:

You are on the right track, IMO, so press on! 

I started seeing masseurs about 8 months ago because I had very little experience with guys and wanted to be prepared to go out in the “wild.” 😀(I had some experience with guys right after college but then got married.)

Look for the people that are patient and passionate (you’ll easily recognize this in your first session) and let them know that you’d like to explore. Be upfront with them. I also look for masseurs that accept everyone - read their ad. These gents take people of all body types, experience levels, race/ethnicities, age. These are the guys that really love what they do.

I was lucky to find two masseurs who have helped me to explore. (They’ve become regulars.) One of whom I have topped for the first time ever and the other whom I have bottomed for for the first time ever. Both of these masseurs are super patient and genuinely kind and open people. We’ve done all of the fun stuff together. 

Keep looking because there are some really kind people out there who are willing to help you!!!

Hiring for practice and/ or to explore feels quite common and is also how I got into this "hobby".

The challenge (as I'm learning) is getting off the "practice train". Now, I find that my expectations have been calibrated to much better looking men who are not impossible to find out in the wild, but those frequency of realistic encounter is a lot more rare.

So many providers are great with guys who have little or no experience. I agree with a lot of what the others have said. My one caveat would be to try to pick someone with great reviews - perhaps ones from guys who don't have much experience. If you're in New York, I have a couple of guys I think would be excellent for you.

I think this is a fairly normaL part of hiring for a lot of guys. I thought I was a side until I asked an escort if he could teach me how to top him. Now I do it pretty much every time I hire. I never would have known how much I like it if it hadn’t been for him!

I've literally been contemplating the same thing. I'm ok at kissing and good at oral but I want to be *phenomenal* at it and finding a guy willing to be a test dummy has been like pulling teeth. I'm this close to just hiring someone a couple times a year to practice on.

Sometimes I wonder: is practicing occasionally enough?  We all know muscle memory fades.  We need constant and regular training to maintain a decent level of basic competency, let alone mastery or excellence (if your goal is a "phenomenal" performance).
