So even if oil comes down a little prices at the pump are headed higher. Sigh.

+ Charlie Posted April 11 Posted April 11 I just paid $58 to put 12 gallons of regular grade gas in my car, at the station at the supermarket where I can use reward points from my food shopping there. I need to eat more and drive less. + Italiano, + SidewaysDM, Luv2play and 4 others 1 6

Whoisyourdaddy Posted April 14 Posted April 14 I've only noticed a slight increase. Before the war, I paid $20 to fill up my tank. Now, I pay $25. I walk a significant amount, so my extra monthly gas costs about the same as one restaurant meal. + Charlie and + Vegas_Millennial 1 1

There’s upward pressure from the conflict and Hormuz, but it’s being softened by reserves and people cutting back on driving. If things continue to escalate or drag out, it probably won’t stay that mild. If more people start pulling back, that’s when it becomes a broader GDP issue, not just gas prices. thomas, + claym, Whoisyourdaddy and 1 other 4
JB_Studio38 Posted Thursday at 07:58 AM Posted Thursday at 07:58 AM (edited) I just left Florida this week: I was doing a whole lot of driving, but 100-150 miles to the next city beats the distance between cities in the Midwest. But the prices were $4 when I arrived 3 weeks ago, then they went down when it seemed T gave an “extension”. But then it went right back up again after the latest news 🤦🏽♂️ like I literally got 3/4 tank for $3.79 in one town, used it up driving to another city, came back and the next day went to refill it jumped to $4.17 😤 Below is a Circle K station in Orlando. The prices were about the same everywhere. What really gets me isn’t just the high price, but why is midgrade and premium running 50-90 cents more??? There’s not supposed to be much “noticeable” difference but regular is cheaper for a reason. But midgrade is about the most I been doing, buying premium feels like an insult Edited Thursday at 03:02 PM by JB_Studio38 + Charlie 1

Chicago area is also bad for it. But the prices in California are sickening. Every couple or so years, they break headlines 📰 for hitting the $7-8-9 mark somewhere I remember one trip, I put $50 and only got half a tank. When normally, $50 fills the tank when it’s $3/gallon or less. Edited Thursday at 08:07 AM by JB_Studio38 BigDMike and + Charlie 1 1
Thomas_Belgium Posted Thursday at 03:18 PM Posted Thursday at 03:18 PM On another forum I read a question what are good gifts for a wedding: cash or something else? Some answered gold. Someone answered & "a tank full of gas". The partygoer answered "too expensive". thomas, + Charlie, + Vegas_Millennial and 1 other 4
