What should I do if somebody in the gym sauna shows interest

Here is the situation:  I went to the locker around 1 pm o'clock yesterday after my workout, inside the locker room i passed by a hot young man and had a short eye contact, a min later i went to the sauna.  There was this young guy i just met and another older man inside. While we were facing each other (he was seated, i was standing agaist the wall), this young guy placed his phone down, started to raise his right leg on the bar surronding the hot stove, moved away his hands to expose his bulge in the underwear, touched the bulge a few times, and kept on looking at me. Then he moved to stand by my side, tried to adjust his underwear then went out of the sauna.

I was wondering if i should follow him, i guess there is not much action to do anyway since this is a gym not a bathhouse. I am not confident to talk with him either since my strong accent might be the scene killer.  

Anyway I am pretty surprised with this encounter. This guy is pretty hot, he is probably straight ( his phone screen showed the upper body of him and a girl). Maybe he was horny and just want to have a quick release during lunch break.

Sounds like you need a written invitation! He was coming on strong….you should have followed him. Don’t worry about your accent, all you need to do is get down on your knees. You can’t speak when your mouth is full.

The gym I go to here in Palm Spring caters to a gay crowd that skews older.  The steam bath is the place where encounters of the type that should have happened here take place.  If you would have followed him, he may have gone to the steam and you could have sat next to him.  Hands touch.  Legs touch.  A hand is rubbed on a thigh and fairly soon afterward someone is getting blown.  As this event happened in the early afternoon on a Wednesday, it is likely that there were not many people there and the steam may have been private enough even if the gym does not cater to a gay clientele.  You could followed and suggested you meet on the way out and have gone to your car and found a place that was fairly private.   The short answer is:   An opportunity was missed.  You now know better so do better.

Sadly, I forewent many of these opportunities when I was hunger and hotter. I don’t forgo them anymore when I’m lucky enough to encounter them!

The only time anything like this ever happened to me was when I was very young, at my previous gym.  I was in the shower and another guy was in a stall within eyeshot of mine.  There were no shower doors or curtains.  He was staring at me, noticeably erect.  Though he knew I was watching him, I was too chicken to do anything but stare.  Were that to happen now, I probably would signal my interest more overtly though the lack of curtains/doors would still be a deterrent. Life is full of missed opportunities….

High risk, high reward.  The risk is, for some, part of the thrill of it all.  In any case, there are lots of gyms around.

Thinking I know I gym there and I would agree 100%  The sauna was especially busy...regardless of the day, the time and the crowd.  There was always something going on.  And yep....sometimes my spa time was longer than my work out 😉

Unless there's a gym policy that requires  street clothes be warn in the sauna, just follow "traditional" sauna etiquette and sit naked on a towel.  It keeps both the sauna and the person cleaner.  In my experience, once one person is bold enough to go naked in the sauna, others quickly follow the example.

As noted OP missed the green light to play, maybe it was a spur of the moment thing for the guy or maybe he's looking for more. Start a conversation with him, just complement his physique, shoes, or water bottle it doesn't really matter. You just need to break the ice, and see if you get a vibe from him. 'Hey, saw you in sauna the other day, you've got a great physique." "I'm sure I'll see you in there later."

Back in the day 24 Hour Fitness, formerly the Sports Erection (Connection (You can see it in the Travolta/Newton John movie "Perfect")), and especially the nearby West Hollywood Athletic Club, basically dared you to do something outrageous enough to get thrown out.  Fun times.

Oh yeah...I remember that.  Way long back and for sure....fine times indeed.
