What is the appeal of “daddies?”

There's a lot of truth to this. Now that we're in our 50s, my husband and I can't go on the apps without being besieged by guys in their 20s. For the most part, we're not into guys in their 20s. They tend to be flighty, unskilled in sex, emotionally immature, and often - especially providers - far more enamored with their appearance than is warranted. 

I agree with those who say providers listing "Daddies" as part of their "Into" is clever marketing. That said, "Daddies" are a subgroup within the gay sexual marketplace like "twinks," "muscle guys," "bears," or "otters." In my experience, it's somewhat less about age and more about a combination of aesthetics and personality. 

I have always been attracted to older men; even now I see men in their 60s and 70s who are really attractive.

Obviously, providers want people who can pay them, but plenty of guys of all ages are attracted to Daddies, not all of whom have tons of money.

I can’t say. I married for love not money. I had a very wealthy boyfriend when I was in my early 20s. He was about a decade older. Handsome, great in bed but wanted everything HIS way. I decided I’d rather be poor than under any man’s thumb. It all worked out in the end.

I believe it. I'm 39 and I prefer younger guys but when I reach out to them I'm never their type. Guys in the 18-29 range seem to either only want guys their own age or are into much older guys in their 50's. I'm in no man's land. 😵

So just tell the young’uns that you’re 53.  When they compliment you for looking so much younger, respond with faux-surprise, “Oh really? Gosh, thanks.”

Sure, you’ll have to guard your drivers license like Fort Knox to make sure the dewy-cheeked lad never sees your date of birth, but that’s a trifling matter.

They'd be fine with 39. But too many delusional 60 and 70somethings list themselves as 39 so the presumption is you're lying. I got no hits at 39 and then when I turned 40 the floodgates opened.

I meant the comment from the 20 something's viewpoint. That they aren't into an older guy in his late 30's only much older guys than them.

Daddies, something click or trick a person fantasy that embedded in the person’ head that driven or crave with desire.  never ever seeing myself as a daddy or papi type that fitted one’s imagination or desirable one until one night. He was obviously out of my league with good look, fitted young and beautiful body. Could this possibly be at the hotel’s sauna, the blond was checking me out like being possessed by a ghost. I played along, dropped the towel, his expression was priceless. The confusion was gone and the guy showed his genius desire. It was one of the best night. Daddy role playing drove the guy crazy and it gave me a huge confident when approaching a beautiful one.
