I’m regularly faced with a 400 or 450 ask these days. Negotiating used to work but seems like it always ends up with a “have a nice afternoon”.

Well, when you want quality, you have to pay for it.

While there is no doubt that there is a difference between ‘cost’ and ‘value’ - I have found that in most cases when cost increases, value decreases; there is no increase in quality.  In other words, just because you pay more, does not necessarily mean that you get more or even the same. Which is why I like having regulars - the cost vs value has been established and I can adjust where needed.

Clearly you are in need of a Bozo tutorial in your negotiating skills. Haggling is an art that is acquired through both learning and practical experience.
You'd be surprised how quickly these guys come down from their original asking price. It's better for them to get something, rather than staying home waiting for a call or text from another potential client.
A bird in the hand......

If it impacts your assessment of my statement, I only go for the very hottest providers. Aside from negotiation, possibly being less relevant there, it can be insulting to such providers.

Interesting thing about price points.   Once you hit them the whole business starts to decline.  Look at what's happening too restaurants.  Price points reached a level that diners have said enough and restaurant business is in decline, with record numbers of closures.  There will always be luxury items and places, but you can't market Target as Tiffany.

Great point but in places like New York many guys have a lot of money, and they don't mind paying  100 more thinking the guys they hire see 4 clients a week instead of 10. (It's a random example, please don't take it literally) 😂.

Without a doubt charging 300 would keep the phone ringing more often but some escorts don't think it's enough money for them in a place like NYC.

In other places like San Francisco you still find guys for 250 or 200 specially based on age, looks and location. Is not the same hosting on one side of the bay or the other.

It's like presenting a coupon while ordering... you'll get more rice and less beef.

This isn't the first nor the last time someone brags about hypothetically getting a discount...

The economy is slipping into a recession.  If they keep their rates that high they will get less business.

I don't think they understand that. The idea that they're "hotter" than you is always on the back of their mind. I know when I've declined to pay the price they want i get a lot of name calling.

Is SF more "affordable" in your personal experience?  I'm looking really hard and I can hardly find people in the range that you mentioned.  Can you send me some recommendations/examples?  Please DM me if you want to remain discreet.  Thanks in advance!

Maybe/likely the word affordable was a stretch... certainly life is more relax and nothing is too crowded unlike in NYC.

I should have said the Bay Area instead of San Francisco... My bad!

It's a large are with plenty of group houses, real rent control, once you move in, they can't hike your rent or kick you out.

The East Bay is a lot cheaper than the peninsula.

Jake Walker charges 250 for in calls, plenty of Asian and black escorts have similar rates but likely not in the first encounter. No need for PM/DM over this issue.

It's not politically correct, but it seems to me like white escorts charge a premium for their color. So-so white guys charge the same or more than a hotter black or Asian guy.

I consider that funny revenge for the "preference" guys. It's been two years since I hired a white guy.

I understand your point and I politely disagree with the generalization BUT.... some clients only hire "All-American", A&F type jocks/twunks, 20's or early 30's, and I have noticed that most of them do charge most than others and some even pick which clients they see.

Curious, are y'all frequently getting discounted rates for repeat encounters? Is that a deal you were offered, or negotiated?

I've only been offered once, and never negotiate. Though most of my experience has been with female escorts, where any discussion of flexibility around rates leads to immediate rejection and sometimes poor reputation - it's a red flag for boundary pushing or disregard for other points mentioned in their ad. But I'm learning RM is a different world..

I don't know why you quoted me....

I don't ask for discounts, I think it's disrespectful and I also find it tacky to brag about it on here, whether is real or made up.

Some guys might give a different rate to clients they see on a monthly basis, but most won't do it.
