Ok, obviously it would be kinda DL, but wouldn’t it be great if there was some kind of large gathering bringing providers and clients together?  Maybe more of a large party than a convention.  Like the promoters could hire certain guys and use the ticket prices to cover services….does something like this exist in the world?

You're probably new. The Palm Springs weekend getaway is a way for folks here to meet in person in a safe setting. I went back in 2021 and enjoyed the experience.

People also go to the award weekends (i.e. grabby or gayvn awards) as audience members and would go to afterparties, etc.

There used to be a meetup during MAL weekend (MLK Weekend) in DC.  It's sort of fallen apart.  It would be great to do that again.

I agree.  It doesn't need to be complicated.

We used to do that informally at Club 20, a now defunct strip club, on Sunday evenings.  It was great fun.

An east-coast meet similar to the Palm Springs annual forum weekend has had fits of starts and stops for several years. Planning and administration seems to be the stumbling block! 

Hint: don't try to please everyone!

The Hookies (and HustlaBall) were basically the yearly major event for the industry.  

The event is still out there, but it's nowhere as popular as it used to be.

The event was never very client-centric.  It was an event conceived for rentboys, by rentboys.
