Escorts Who Dont Ask Anything

I know there are a lot of escorts who never divulge nor inquire of SDTs.  I also know someone who recently got HIV from an escort who professed he was safe and on preventative meds. Legalization is necessary in order to maintain safety standards.  Could be a great tax base.  You agree?

SDT?

But yeah, this topic has been well-worn here and realistically, legalization isn't happening anytime soon.

I know people who have gotten HIV from Grindr trade.  Getting a disease takes no talent...  Just the idiocy of not protecting yourself.

It takes two to tango.  If you're going to fuck raw, know what PrEP is and use it.

Otherwise, either don't fuck raw in the first place or don't complain when things turn out badly for you.

Take responsibility for your own health at all times.

I DISAGREE.  It's each person's job to educate themselves, take action to protect themselves and make educated choices...that includes accepting known risks.   If this person was not on preventative meds themselves, that was their choice, and they must accept the consequences of their decision.

Having gestapo enforcing STD transmission is akin to what's happening with abortion right now....do we want the government tracking everyone who has STDs and their sexual partners?  Absurd.

Not trying to be insulting to the OP, and with acknowledgment to the excellent points raised by the responders, the type of ignorance (SDT) and simple minded thinking (legalization) represented by the OP is all too common and frequent in the population and among men who hire escorts. Let’s not ignore this fact.

I've never met a provider who asked my STD status.

I'm hoping it's because, like me, they assume that all their partners have STDs (including HIV) and take the proper measures.

I had one young, inexperienced provider ask, and I thought it was ridiculous. Of course, I don't think I have or have been exposed to anything based on my visual and sensory experience. But that's no guarantee, especially since so many STDs can remain asymptomatic.

That is one major reason given by people against legalizing sex work. The almost guaranteed uptick that would come from people getting STD & HIV infections.

I don’t think there’s any sociological evidence to support this point of view. Arguably it’s the opposite.

The sex work and workers who are targeted by law enforcement are usually poor or working in marginalized communities. The former president of the US is on trial for paying off Stormy Daniels to keep their transaction a secret. Trump and his ilk employ sex workers all the time with zero accountability.

Legalization would end the harm that occurs to sex workers due to criminalization, recognize that people have been paying for sex and companionship since civilization, and allow law enforcement to focus on people being trafficked.

We have got to get away from the stigma surrounding the hobby for both providers and clients. Otherwise why are we here on this forum?

With the tech / apps available to us now the average gay male can have as much sex as the most active provider and more, if he chooses, without any money changing hands.

The average provider may actually be better behaved ,needing to  keep himself presentable to clients with the ability to pay for a luxury experience. And certainly better protected (informed) than the more DL / inexperienced among clients.

Make the whole sugar daddy thing illegal If you want legal constistency. Rents in Hell’s Kitchen and WeHo would collapse,  youngsters would likely read more in the evenings, and gay men above the age of X would have better retirement account balances.

No thanks. I’d rather people have bodily autonomy.

PrEP has been a game changer and has saved many lives not only because of the prevention of HIV but also catching other kind of STD on time and also detecting any changes in liver, kidney, etc.

I disagree, the stigma is what keeps folks from getting tested. Legalizing a private behavior most gay men already find acceptable would be a good thing.

How does he know if he truly contracted HIV from that specific escort?

Unless he was tested and confirmed negative before meeting with that escort and had absolutely no sexual contact from  the day he was tested, he can’t place blame on that escort.

Keep in mind that STD\HIV tests are immediately compromised & expired the immediate moment you have sex. Hence, most guys’ test results are expired and are pointless.

And if this guy trusted the escort’s“status”, and willing barebacked with him, who’s to say how many other guys lied to him about their status  (whom he likely trusted) and had unprotected sex with them too?

For most guys out here, trying to point the finger on “who gave it to me”, (regarding any STD or virus)  is just as accurate as a pregnant alley cat trying to determine which “Tom’s” are the father of her newborn litter.

Statistically, such illnesses are spread through non-paying sexual transactions.

A no-cost,  cum  dumpster in a hook up app is more likely to make more contact with more sexual partners in one hour than an escort can make in a week.

well i also am upfront about my status, including when i was last tested and what the results were and I am explicit about the medications I take and ask the escort to be honest about their status and medications...the escort can always lie of course but I've  found it does establish an adult rapport...have three times had an escort contact me about std's. one canceled an appointment because he tested positive for syphilis, two contacted me after the fact to say they just tested positive for something. in both those cases i tested negative. not a fool proof method of staying free of infections but it is the right thing to do. we are adults.

for every one person that is responsible & contacts their partners for potential STI exposure - there’s probably 10 more that don’t.  It’s statistically impossible for people to be routinely engaging in unprotected sex w multiple partners and not be exposed to STIs.  Indeed, the numbers show gonorrhea surging. Many don’t know they have anything & are asymptomatic- but still very capable of transmission.
testing, while absolutely worthwhile gives a false sense of security as it’s outdated the minute the test is done.

theres a certain level of collective denial going on among gay men, disguised as “sex-positivity” & selective information uptake to justify doing what they want to do anyway.

get educated, make your choices & live with the consequences.  it’s that simple

well...the way to start is be honest yourself and discuss with your future partner...and i now have a stable of men i rely on and for me it works...all adult responsible

men...not fool p[roof, nothing is, but it works for me and its a model that could work for others...i refuse the cynical approach and it has worked for me...

agree - the problem is most people aren't honest w themselves.
a real conversation w a potential partner is definitely helpful in context of making decisions.
working with known & established people also helpful.
trust is something that's earned - not automatic.  and I don't think that is cynical at all.

nice SouthOfTheBorder...if you are hiring an escort there are all kinds of risks involved...being honest with yourself and your escort is the best you can do, then deal with the consequences as an adult...life is good...and pleasurable

I recently saw a masseur who asked me how recently I was tested for gonorrhea in the anus.  I had mentioned to him that a rim job drives me crazy.  He was excited to rim, but he told me he was resistant to gonorrhea treatments so he needed to to be careful of that one STI in particular.  Luckily, I had just been tested three weeks prior and had not been with anyone since, so he was happy to comply 👅 🍑.

Or the providers "assume that all of their partners" are on Prep and/or Doxy prep; thus neither has to give a lot of thought as to fucking bareback or not.

this is really the thing nobody wants to talk about - the very real chain of partners you take on when having sex

people like to think they are the exception - meaning what this person does with me, they probably don’t do with others or they don’t do it with any frequency.  the person says, I don’t usually bareback - but with you, I will

lots of magical thinking all around on this topic

I still think reputable established providers are a much safer bet, in every way than anyone on the hookup apps.  I’d gladly pay providers to avoid the Grindr/scruff cesspool.
