viewing ownly Posted January 13, 2024 Posted January 13, 2024 I just finished reading in a private message a curious take from a masseur who is a close friend of a masseur I've been banned from seeing. I attempted to see a guy for a third time (this incident happened many years ago), thinking confirming a couple of days ahead of time was good enough in addition to the initial scheduling of my appointment. On this forum, opinion was 90 / 10 siding with the masseur that I was way in the wrong to not confirm that same day, and he had every right to no-show me. I felt my personal track record of two previous visits where I showed up on time was good enough to not question attempt #3. This masseur who recently replied to me, like most of you, also believed I was way in the wrong to assume I'd be seen with no same-day contact, and he would have no-showed me, too. There's a masseur visiting my area for the first time who I'm intrigued to see, and he's scheduled to be in my area in two weeks, having put his travel info up about a week ago. While I don't want to wait too long to try to see him when he could get entirely booked, I don't want to book too far ahead of time and be concerned that I'll get bumped for a multitude of different reasons. In this instance, the time that would work best for me wouldn't be my personal ideal favorite, as I really attempt to be a guy's last person or first person he sees when he comes to town. He's a bundle of sexual energy, and I'm relatively sure we'd have a good time. I should tell him that - it might help!
aiseeya Posted January 13, 2024 Posted January 13, 2024 My rule of thumb for advance bookings: (1) set up advance bookings with date and time, and tell them i will text them again on D-day; (2) text on D-day hours ahead to re-confirm; and (3) text again 1 hour or so to re-re-confirm along with location information (as i only do outcall). spidir, Thique, Yukon21 and 4 others 3 4
+ KensingtonHomo Posted January 13, 2024 Posted January 13, 2024 I don't know. I usually book and then confirm the day of. But given that you've seen this person twice before, I feel like if they had a concern, they should have reached out to confirm with you. Most professionals will call to confirm an appointment that day before. TorontoDrew 1
marylander1940 Posted January 13, 2024 Posted January 13, 2024 Escorts I know and hire regularly always tell me: "please text me when you're on your way". Ali Gator 1
+ JamesB Posted January 13, 2024 Posted January 13, 2024 I typically schedule meetings a couple of days in advance. I wait for traveling providers who announce dates weeks ahead until they are in town, as many of them are merely gauging interest and may cancel the trip at the last minute. I make sure to confirm on the day of the meeting and send a text when I'm on my way with an ETA. spidir and Ali Gator 1 1

Especially now that airlines allow them to cancel a flight and keep the money as a voucher for future flights. I know several guys who cancel if there's not enough interest to justify traveling. 11 hours ago, viewing ownly said: I just finished reading in a private message a curious take from a masseur who is a close friend of a masseur I've been banned from seeing. bigdipper Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 I have the best luck reaching out 48 hours before a visiting provider arrives. Too far out they might cancel… once they arrive, they might be all booked up. Dolman and JB_Studio38 1 1
Decatur Guy Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 (edited) My usual procedure: First, I make the Initial booking. Let's say it's Wednesday night and the appointment is for 9 p.m. Friday night two days later at my place. I tell the provider that I'll reconfirm around noon Friday and then again one hour ahead. I do that for two reasons. One: If he's been burned by no-shows, this might make him feel better about my legitimacy. Reconfirmation usually involves one text: ("Hey, I'm still on for 9 tonight at my place if you are. Looking forward to meeting up."). Two: I've been burned by no shows or very late providers. Checking in one hour ahead usually helps in finding out if he's got it in gear to be on time or not. If I book same day: Let's say I book at noon Friday for 9 p.m. that night. I'll reconfirm around 5 to 6 p.m. and then again at 8 p.m. If I book at say 4 p.m. Friday for 9 p.m. Friday, I'll just reconfirm the hour before. I'll just reconfirm one time if it's seven hours or less. Edited March 21, 2024 by Decatur Guy peter831 and Johnrom 2
+ APPLE1 Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 1) If a provider is currently advertising in a specific location, I thinks it's okay to inquire about scheduling a time for that location. 2) I'm pretty flexible about confirmations. So I simply ask new providers if they want me to confirm again 2 days before, the day of, an hour before, etc.? 3) If I have seen the provider before, and I recall his confirmation preferences, I will state my plan to "confirm again the day before," or whatever his prior preference was, at the end of setting up the appointment.
+ Jamie21 Posted March 22, 2024 Posted March 22, 2024 When clients book with me, sometimes months in advance, then it’s booked: I’ll be available and expecting them. At the time of booking the client gets my address, directions (or if it’s an outcall I just ask for their location), and all the info they need, and I tell them I’ll confirm all still ok with them the day before. This ‘day before’ confirmation is important because it serves as a reminder and ensures that I screen out anyone flaky before the actual day. If they don’t respond to the day before confirmation then I cancel it. If you’re having booking confusion with your masseur or escort then that’s a sign that they’re just playing at the job, they’ll be indifferent to you and it will probably be a bad experience. Don’t hire guys who are messing you around. Becket 1
DWnyc Posted March 22, 2024 Posted March 22, 2024 I would expect either me or the person I’m meeting, whether a provider or a dentist or a long lost relative visiting town to confirm at least the day before and definitely the day of. Not hard to do in this era of instant comms. “I’m about to leave, ETA xyz, are we still good?” has saved me from much hanging around for someone else running late or not wasting time on someone who can’t or won’t make it anymore. A provider who will ditch you because of a more lucrative opportunity or because they can’t keep to schedule for whatever reason can do so regardless even at the last minute. Don’t be the cause of any uncertainty at their end. Johnrom 1
+ Vegas_Millennial Posted September 25, 2025 Posted September 25, 2025 I try to reach out 3 days before my travel, giving each person a half day to respond. For example, on Monday, "Hello, I'll be arriving in XXX on Thursday morning. Are you available for a 2 hour session Thursday afternoon? I can host near XXX or travel to you, whichever is easier" Either I succeed, or I still have all day Tuesday and Wednesday to find somebody else to schedule. + nycman, thomas and Nue2thegame 2 1

My one exception to this is with someone I've hired before. I'll sometimes reach out a week or two in advance to determine if a regular of mine will be in town when I'm traveling to his city.
