  1. I have the best luck reaching out 48 hours before a visiting provider arrives. Too far out they might cancel… once they arrive, they might be all booked up.
  2. I find the best reviews are left with $$$… we keep returning to the excellent providers and skip the poor performing ones!
  3. I think he is rather selective as the clients he takes. I’ve tried a couple times when he’s in DC and never got a response. Just move onto the next provider if he doesn’t respond.
  4. One time I scheduled an overnight with a provider at his hotel room, and I could go right up to the room. I texted an hour before to confirm, he said all good. I arrive and text from the lobby, no response. I wait another ten minutes and text, no response. After that, I left assuming he flaked or booked another client… no worries from me. About an hour later the provider finally responded back saying he had fallen asleep and hoped me knocking on the door would have woken him up!
  5. This might not be the right thread for this question… what is the best way to respond to a provider that quotes a price that is too high for your budget? Do you not respond, say “thank you” and move on, or something else?

  7. I saw him in 2019, but then he didn’t travel much during the height of the pandemic. I guess he just retired after that.
  8. If a provider advertises or is upfront about requiring deposits, I’m ok with it. But I’ve encountered a couple providers that spring the need for a deposit a couple hours before an already confirmed appointment. That just rubs me the wrong way.
  9. One provider has figured a way to stop endless texts… his first reply is with a link to his Venmo account with his rate info! Not even a hello or how are you doing!

  12. One of my peeves is when providers complain about what they are missing because I scheduled my appointment at that time. If you wanted to meet your friends or go to the gym, just say so and offer to reschedule!

  14. I’m usually 10-15 minutes early and tell the provider that. If they don’t respond by 5 minutes after the session start time, I walk. Plenty of time for them to respond within that timeframe.
