Is it wrong to ask a masseur to wear specific articles of clothing?  I love a guy in a jockstrap and many providers show pictures of themselves in jockstraps or other form fitting attire. Therefore I have always wanted to ask the guy to wear a jock or singlet (if he has pics of himself in a singlet) or any other sexy clothes for our session. If I'm going to hire eye candy I like to see it wrapped up real nice.

I have the odd time asked a provider to wear a jockstrap when I see him in one in a photo. I did this recently and he obliged without any mention of a costume fee. He was getting $300 for the incall at his place but I gave him his outcall fee of $350 since he was so good.

I don't see why not asking the provider, but it's on the masseur to (a) comply, (b) comply for an additional charge, or (c) not comply. You can always ask. I'm sure many providers get many requests based on clients' preferences. Wearing a jockstrap (IMO) is not an out-of-the-ordinary request. Is not that you want him to massage you with him in roller skates.

If it's not brought up by the client during our exchange about getting together, I always make it a point to ask: "Is there any particular way you'd like me dressed?"

The answers go from mild to wild, to "I didn't see THAT coming!"

For escort clients, I tend to wear a jockstrap or other sexy item for the client to enjoy “unwrapping” however they wish, like a present. I wear whatever is appropriate for a public meet or outcall. Street clothes, nice restaurant or date attire, swimsuit for the beach or pool, whatever the situation calls for.

Once in a while I get a request to wear something specific for either massage or escort work. If I don’t already have the item(s), it’s on the client to acquire it in my size and bring it. I’ve been burned too many times by clients asking for something really specific. I purchase the item(s) to fulfill their request, only to have them cancel last minute or no-show. So I don’t do that anymore.

One guy likes me to wear a backwards baseball hat (and nothing else). I indulge him.

I’ve never actually had that happen to me. Only once did I feel an escort not wear the appropriate outfit and that was in NYC with a guy who was doing porn for Lucas Entertainment at the time. 
I had met with him previously in  Montreal and we had several dates set up for my trip to NY. It was our first night together and I had told him where we were going, to an upscale restaurant close to my mid town hotel.

Like everyone said - it never hurts to ask.

However, if your tastes are a bit weird, sometimes it's easier to just buy several sizes of the costume and have them cleaned between providers. As I promise all hires, the costume will always be cleaned after being worn.

In my many years of hiring, I can count on one hand how many providers (escorts and masseurs) have worn what we discussed (usually something in a recent photo of theirs, which they assure me they have with them and it's "no problem" to wear it to the appointment). When I meet up with them, they're wearing something completely different - a few hours after our conversation! - and tell me 'I forgot'. Totally believable.

I’ve done them. I wouldn’t upcharge for something as simple as wearing a hat that I already own or a pair of underwear the client brought. I would charge if the item is more elaborate or uncomfortable, messy, or difficult to move in.

Furries, anyone? Glitter outfits, unbreathable material, slime play, oil wrestling scenes, you name it. Someone has a fetish or kink involving that thing.

Basically anything that takes more time to prep, clean, or is uncomfortable. Stuff the client likes to tickle his fetish fancy. For some it’s wearing hat and I oblige them. For others, I charge for the pain in the ass.
